This meerkat seems to enjoy being scratched and petted, otherwise it wouldn't let her scratch it AND those bites would've been a lot harder and drawn blood. The sound the meerkat is making sounds more like a playful purr than a cry of distress.

I'm sorry if I'm not reading this the right way, but that animal appears in distress. I'm sure the handler/ keeper means well, but there are profligate signs of discomfort.... it is not a natural state, nor is it condusive to reintroduction to a pack-species. Cute, but not a commodity. It was once vital that interaction was kept to a minimum; times have changed.
