ROFL!! i rather spend 5K $ on a cobra to replace the stock eaton s/c with a KB and be driving it to a tuner 8 hours later, rather than completely build a neon top to bottom. the cobra has so much more potential in all categories than the neon its almost not even funny.
So many dyno racers and doubters out there. You post video and its not good enough, you post time slips not good enough, you post dynos and still not good enough. The cobra was tuned on 91 pump, he dumped in some 100 pump I seriously doubt that made any negative impact on his performance. The facts remain the srt trapped 125+mph in the quarter many times and was a decently quick car as was the cobra, you win some you loose some. Neither one of us have these cars anymore so who cares.

That's not a mammoth! The throttle position is supposed to be on the driver side for a 2.8 kenne bell. They only make them in that style.maybe a 2.2L.... He said he hasn't tuned it either. Thats why that cobra lost. Tune that dam car and run again.

That Mustang weighs around 3600 lbs vs the SRT 4 at 2850. I love it. I'm putting down 400hp with my DB 50 Trim and I still get 22mpg in town.Turbo fours are a great hot rod in a time of expensive gas. I miss my Mustang but the SRT 4 is great too.

@xZZxTakedown Actually that engine was designed and made in Mexico. Then tweaked here in the states. The engine was dummied down in Mexican models to keep insurance costs down. From what I heard you could get roughly a 15% power increase with small tweaks. But yeah same continent I guess.
True it's a cast iron block, but the independant rear is heavy too. A typical Terminator Cobra (03'/04') is about 3800lbs. I want one bad but they are quite a bit heavier than a stripped GT. Even 200lbs would make a difference. I wish Ford could make a 500 hp Cobra with close to 50/50 weight distribution and weigh less than 3400lbs. I guess it's too much to ask lol

@NIGBEATS 3665lbs to 3317lbs coupe to coupe that is a good size difference I'd say. That and most of the tube vids I see with Cobras are convertibles. Those weigh the 3800 mark. Both GT and 03/04 Cobras have Iron blocks.

Wheel spin. Watch the 40 roll. The RPMs in the SRT-4 jump up when he hits it. Put some sticky tires on both cars and I'm sure they'd run pretty evenly.

As the other dude also said he is out of the blowers efficiency, at 20+ psi he would be making huge numbers. None the less my car just ran 101mph in the 1/8th mile so his car was still getting it on.

The srt ran those times on 22-23psi with roughly 420whp. I have yet to run it with 26psi like I did in the video. As far as times with slick's I have only ran it once with slicks @ 20lbs boost, and at the time the car was only making roughly 380-390whp and it went 11.90@118 on a 1.9 60''. I think it is safe to say both cars would go low 11s at the track with slicks how they sat in the video.
@EbSrt yeah against a stock cobra, i see srt4's and s/c cobras run all the time both with mods and supporting mods, cobras win 85% of the time but it all comes down to the driver. hell i got a guy on my team that has an 03 pro-charged gt that has destroyed srt4's all day long so like i said it all comes down to driver.
Those were some pretty damn nice races. From a dig the Cobra will own that SRT-4 if both cars have DR's. A stock Termie can go 12.7-12.8 on street tires, and this one is putting out around 150 more whp. Good races and nice cars on both parts.
Your wrong I just posted that, lol. The cobra went 12.4@121 on street tires. I went 12.4@122 on street tires. Remember getting another 150whp to the ground is a whole nother story in just about any car. I will run him from a dig it will be closer then you think.

The srt has made 525tq so there really is no tq advatage. The reason he jumps out from a 40 roll is wheel spin in the srt. This is going to be a on going battle and next time were doing all 40 rolls and mabye a dig. As far as being embarrassing both cars have went the exact same time on street tires 12.4s@122mph.
