That's one seriously large gas leak. That looks like there might have been an oxygen tank involved too. Rarely does pure natural gas or propane do that much damage because it has very very little brisance. A lot of people have survived gas "explosions" that blew out all the windows and the roof off the building because there's no real shock wave. This must have been the PERFECT ratio of gas to air or there was an oxidizer of some kind involved. NO2, O2?
