u know, i just did a simple experiment in my kitchen, sea salt mixed with warm water in a hot kitchen and all the oils comes to to top....something not available...to the big companies like the cheap paper towel I used to soak up all the oil???? also put the mixture in bowls and was able to contain it with 100% cheap paper towel. it this too simple????

WHY does Obama refuse to revoke the Jones Act (Merchant Marine Act of 1920)? If he would only do so, then other nations would be able to assist in the clean-up & prevent further spread of the oil. Bush had the Act revoked only 3 days after Hurricane Katrina. But no, Obama is kowtowing to his union thug leaders, who insist that their workers must be chosen for the clean-up jobs. But Obama is impeding progress, and the oil keeps spreading.
People talk about pressure being too great and the fact that you can’t deal with this type of pressure easily and fix it. Dropping a heavy metal or concrete funneling structure and managing the oil through pipes from this structure up to the surface is a simple and manageable solution. Come on BP, hi-Tec drilling of maybe more no good relief bore holes is not the answer. Please copy and paste this over the web so they get the low tec solution message.

Its cheaper to spray toxic chemicals in the water then it is to clean up the oil. COST BENIFITS is all this company has obviously ever cared about. u know, i just did a simple experiment in my kitchen, sea salt mixed with warm water in a hot kitchen and all the oils comes to to top....something not available...to the big companies like the cheap paper towel I used to soak up all the oil???? also put the mixture in bowls and was able to contain it with 100% cheap paper towel. it this too simple????

#1 They will do the minimum required to make it look like (not actually accomplish) a fix has been achieved because cleanup is expensive.

Obama did not allow the clean up ships from Denmark in because he dug out a bill from 1920, that has never been used since, to keep them out. Oh, and by the way, volunteer fishing vessels were boarded by the Coast Guard and not allowed in the Gulf after inspection because "their boats would pollute the water" This was an act by the current administration. Americans are not addicted to oil, they are forced to buy products that require oil in order to go to work so that they can eat (and pay the government 25%). Nobody is like: "Yes, I am going to the gas station to drop hundreds of dollars on oil". Months behind schedule and going to fast caused this disaster. And we have bp to thank for that. Spilling crack on a carpet is one thing, poking a hole in the crack back then coming into the house is another.

WHY does Obama refuse to revoke the Jones Act (Merchant Marine Act of 1920)? If he would only do so, then other nations would be able to assist in the clean-up & prevent further spread of the oil. Bush had the Act revoked only 3 days after Hurricane Katrina. But no, Obama is kowtowing to his union thug leaders, who insist that their workers must be chosen for the clean-up jobs. But Obama is impeding progress, and the oil keeps spreading.

People talk about pressure being too great and the fact that you can’t deal with this type of pressure easily and fix it. Dropping a heavy metal or concrete funneling structure and managing the oil through pipes from this structure up to the surface is a simple and manageable solution. Come on BP, hi-Tec drilling of maybe more no good relief bore holes is not the answer. Please copy and paste this over the web so they get the low tec solution message.

Oh yes, still fighting law suits from the thousands of victims of the gas disaster it caused in Bhopal India in 1984 where 8000 people were killed and where the area and groundwater remain highly toxic. COME ON PEOPLE we are all together in this disaster, it is not ok to blame BP when we are the ones demanding larger amounts of oil products (gas, plastics, solvents, etc) oil extraction companies need to spend most of their funds in research to satisfy the oil shortage by coming up with better techniques for drilling on the sea, if it was as easy as putting a giant cap in the spill they should have done that already, they need to find a solution that is effective on the first attempt due to cost
