  • I tried to call the Missy Hyat hotline from my cordless cellular phone using 1 800 COLLECT

  • 280 did he gain 12 pounds in 5 seconds

  • a lot of skipping in this video. even skipped over the 3 count

  • He showed up for a few matches before the WWF could snatch him up as they did anyone wcw showed interest in and didn't have signed to a contract

  • u know, looking back, for Owen Hart at his height and being a high flyer, he got his swole on, he madd big

  • All hail the king of Harts! Owen Hart!

  • These days were awesome!

  • Been watching 30 years and i still find videos that surprise me. Never knew Owen was with WCW.

  • @frythedeliveryguy Me too..when was this?

  • @NiceT86 Dude, you got me. According to Wiki, he was only in Japan and Stampede Wrestling before joining WWF(E).

  • @frythedeliveryguy Wikipedia doesnt get every single bit of info, you know....

  • @Juggernaut81886 I know, but for the most part they are usually pretty good at naming the promotions where wrestlers have wrestled.

  • @frythedeliveryguy Yea, no kidding.

  • Paul dangerously is a prophet he prophesied hart's death

  • the creepiest thing said in this video is when paul e. says, one of these days, one of those high risk moves is going to back fire on owen.

  • omg Jim Ross Commentary?

    Owen Hart Wrestling?

    WCW?

    wow I never knew that!!!!!

  • So sad what happened to Owen.

  • i had no idea owen ever worked for wcw

  • @37Freakzilla liar

  • @37Freakzilla what i mean by a bigger push is that they would not have made owen be the blue blazer at all like vince always did and i still feel like vince caused owen his life. he did not really care about owen or else if he did then he would've let him go to WCW with bret. {I ain't talking no crap i'm just telling it like it is}. owen could've went to WCW a year earlier in 1996 instead of 97' and still be alive today which is what i wish he had done. on WCW owen hart would still be alive..

  • @metamorphosis743 I completely agree with Freakzilla. You can't possibly say what would have happened - hell, it's possible that the Blue Blazer gimmick ended the next day, and Owen would have gone on to win the WWE Championship. The gimmick was stupid and unnecessary, but it was a technical problem (Owen accidentally triggered the quick release early). Vince is not to blame. You could say that if Benoit, Eddie, Davey etc didnt go to the WWE they would have lived. WCW would have buried him.

  • @banjobenjo No he isn't, but Vince still had him do that damn stunt which killed him. Alright, so maybe Owen Hart wouldn't have gotten as many Title Belt shots and bigger pushes as he did in WWF, but the main fact is that he WOULD still be alive today If he was on WCW Monday Nitro and Thunder though! Heck, maybe Owen Hart even could've teamed up with Madusa {Debra Miceli} as The Blue Blazer and formed a huge storyline team with her on WCW against Luna Vachon and her other back up guys!!

  • @banjobenjo - I don't think either of those three would have lived if they stayed in WCW. That's implying that they wouldn't have done any steroids or drugs. PEDs aren't just a WWE problem, they're a universal problem.

  • @37Freakzilla Although it's hard to accept, Vince McMahon DID kill Owen Hart by forcing him into that stupid ass stunt! Eric Bischoff could've easily payed the money it would cost for Owen to breach his WWF contract and Eric could've MADE Vince let Owen out of his contract and sued Vince too If Eric truely wanted to! If Vince really cared about Owen Hart then he would've let Owen go to WCW with his brother Bret Hart. WCW would've paid Owen way more money and gave him a bigger push :-(

  • @metamorphosis743 Please stop. Your English is atrocious!

  • @filthiestfish you stop i have freedom of speech dummy!

  • @metamorphosis743 You made me think of Abraham Lincoln: "It's better to be thought of as a fool than to speak out and erase all doubt". That's you!

  • @filthiestfish whatever now split bastard!

  • @37Freakzilla Eric Bischoff was thinking about paying off Owen Hart's WWF contract since Vince didn't feel like paying it off because he'd lose money after paying of Bret Hart's contract, that's why. But then Eric didn't think Owen was worth it on WCW and he wasn't willing to match the WCW contract Owen had with Vince on WWF. I wish Eric Bischoff would've paid off Owen's contract and breached it for him. That way Owen Hart could have went to WCW and still be alive today! VINCE KILLED OWEN!!!!

  • HUSS HUSS HUSS

  • Isn't it sad to think that when the Invasion was going on in 2001 that 3 out of the 4 people with this match should've been involved (J.R.; Paul E.; Owen)

  • Wow, I didn't know Owen was ever in WCW.

  • @NYCrazyRob Owen "The Rocket" Hart was many a champ in Canadian Stampede Wrestling and NJPW

  • it would be cool to see razor ramon and diesel go at it in wcw for the u.s. title, trple H, jim ross, young sting young flair, dustin rodes, vader, brian pillman, young steve austin, hey it would have been cool to see that n see what the wwf would have done to compete with that. but it was never meant to be and so half those guys got let go, fired cuzz WCW thought they weren't good enough. Owen going to WCW would not have change anything, things happen for a reson, just let it be.

  • Even Bret said it. WCW did not use him well and got a career injury by goldberg cause he did the spear wrong. would owen be still alive I don't know maybe but no one knows all we can do is guess at something that will never happen. I do agree they had futuer stars but like i said they did not know how to use them. it's a fact, thats why all of them went to the WWF. I wish they knew how to use them cause......

  • I know some of you are WCW fans that's ok. Not everyone likes the WWF or should i say WWE. But who is still in business and who owns WCW. thats right it's Vince and his WWE. i'm not knocking on no one but WCW did not know how to make stars. even the cruiserweights were establish stars from either Mexico or ECW. They made WCW not the other way around and eric would not even give them a chance to shine. he kept them as cruiserweights just so Hogan and flair be on top.

  • what happen in the WWF WAS an ACCIDENT. Yes vince has some fault. And he was already a star in the WWF. Lets be real here. Even if WCW did get him they would not know how to use him. they didn't know how to use bret n put him with the nWo. let go of jim and davy boy soon after that. really thats WCW for you. just look at the history. and i think davy boy went back to the wwf befor he die for a short bit.

  • Guys Owen could not have gone to WCW. Vince alreday let his entire family go. plus Owen was building a house for his family in canada from the ground up. he couldn't afford to pay for the house and buy out his contract. and eric was not gonna give him the money he gave bret lets face it its true.

  • so who is on commentary? I think I hear J.R. ...the other guy sounds a little like Paul Heyman.

  • @ventekid yep thats it - Jim Ross and Paul E. Dangerously (Heyman)

  • WCW would have been the place in the mid 90's. But instead they thought these guys were no good hire already establesh stars like Hogan and Randy Savage to keep them aflot while the WWF took Owen, Scott, Kevin, Jean Paul Levesque, Steve and J.R. and made them house whole names. even if Scott and Kevin went back WCW could not make stars. They needed estsblesh stars.

  • @thesithkilla Correction, Eric Bischoff should have paid the money for Owen Hart to breach his WWF contract so that he could have went to WCW with Bret and still be alive today! Then Legal Action would've got on Vince's case If tried to keep Owen then because Eric would've paid his contract off.

  • @thesithkilla Now don't take this the wrong way or anything, but personally I think Vince McMahon had absolutely NO business at all keeping Owen on WWF & not letting him go to WCW Nitro and Thunder with his brother Bret, that was no excuse! Owen Hart could have been a major megastar and excellent superstar in WCW with his brother Bret Hart in the late 90's and early 2000's and he could have been the one to feud with The NWO and stand up to them. Owen Hart would still be alive If he was on WCW (:

  • @thesithkilla Too bad they didn't have no-complete clauses back in the 90's. If they did, then Owen Hart could've signed one and went to WCW Nitro and Thunder! I would've killed Vince McMahon and ripped his heart out and made him let Owen go to WCW If I was there!

I still don't see why Eric Bischoff didn't pay the money it would cost for Owen to breach his WWF contract so Vince wouldn't have had to pay it off and so that Owen could've went to WCW.

  • @thesithkilla Also after Montreal in 1997, Owen Hart had a chance to buy his way out of his WWF contract and pay it off himself like Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhardt both did but for some odd reason he chose not too and I wonder why? Owen Hart should've brought his way out his contract like Neidhardt and Bulldog did and went to WCW Nitro and Thunder!!

  • What get's to me is WCW had all these young guys, Owen Hart, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Steve Austin, triple H, Jim Ross as commentaer, and they still did not know how to use them. I mean really. Imagine with they where the one's that came up with The king of Harts Owen Hart, The Bad Guy Razor Ramon, Diesel, let Steve Come up wit Stone Cold, keep JR instead of hiring Tony Shavony and Triple H well as Triple H. WOW with Ric Flair still young, Vader, Sting,DDP,Biran Pillman. etc.

  • Owen conld not have gone to The WCW at that time. He wanted to, but conldn't because of his contract. Vince would not let him go as he not only let Bret go but Jim Nied Hart and David Boy Smith go as well. At that time the Brock Lesnar drop out no-compete clause did not exist.

  • @thesithkilla It's because Vince did not want to pay off Owen's contract after paying off Bret's which is why Eric Bischoff should have paid the money for Owen Hart to breach his WWF and got to WCW with Bret! And Yes, Brock's no-complete clause did work, that's why he left WWE.

  • GOD PLEASE GIVE US BACK OWEN HART IN RETURN WILL GIVE U THAT 598 YEAR OLD HULK HOGAN !!!

  • what year was this ?

  • @SPARTANBOY03 Aired on the March 16, 1991 edition of World Championship Wrestling. Taped March 12 in Atlanta.

  • dean chris eddie rey all started in ecw not wcw

  • Owen what quality of wrestler.

  • Mark Kyle is like Gary Hart if Gary was a Wrestler instead of a Manager. :)

  • 2:01 this was Owen Hart´s world .. nobody could do such stuff at that time..

    We still need you owen..

  • Wrestling's Greatest Nugget! Rip Owen!

  • Dumb.

  • Omg that's Jim Ross announcing!

  • @fcjeske5 Yeah everybody started in WCW.. Undertaker.. Tripple H.. Stone Cold.. Jake Roberts, Mick Foley.. Chris Jericho, Dean Milenko, Eddie Guerro, Rey Mysterio, Good 'Ol JR, Owen Hart, I mean a lot more than that.. It's crazy. all of them had stints in WCW before WWF/E.

  • @jschudar ok owen was in WWE BEFORE this as the blue blazer

  • @jschudar ok owen was in WWE BEFORE this as the blue blazer

  • @wowhead1 Well when you're right.. you're right. But if you wanna get extremely technical he was the BLUE ANGEL for a few shows before he was the blue blazer in August of 1988. Oh yeah, I can read wikipedia :P ha

  • @fcjeske5 and the color guy is Paul Heyman

  • the title is all wrong it should be owen hart, jr and paul heyman invade wcw

  • wow great performance by Owen how in the hell did wcw not see the opportunity to have they're very own hart family member here and sign the kid just by this match alone you could see the possibility of super stardom indicative of why wcw fell apart just a perfect example letting this kid get signed by your competition horrible business decision

  • Again, Owen Hart COULD'VE signed a no-complete clause and WWF drop out form to be released from his contract with WWF like Brock Lesnar did. And then Owen could've went to WCW with Bret Hart and debuted there. Maybe Owen Hart should have thought about that instead of asking Vince the asshole sign him out of his contract the original way.

  • @metamorphosis743 yea if only u told him this 14 years ago...no need to bitch about it now

  • @Allapattahgoon I know, I was in my mid 20's back then. If I had known about it back in 1997 then yes I would have told Owen to sign a no-complete clause to breah his WWF contract so that he could have went to WCW Nitro and Thunder with his brother Bret and still be alive today. If only Vince wouldn't have been such an asshole about, I mean all Owen Hart wanted to do was go to WCW for the last 3 years of his career, don't you agree??

  • @metamorphosis743 Do you know what a no-compete clause is?

  • @crazenate of course I do, it's such a shame Owen didn't have one at the time to get him out of his WWF contract like Brock Lesnar did to leave WWE in 2004.

  • @metamorphosis743 I'll have to find the article. But I read that Owen was ready to retire from wrestling (at least full time) to spend more time with his family. Owen was saving up money, in hopes of leaving wrestling in a few years. Which mean had he signed a no-compete contract to leave WWE, he wouldn't have been able to go to WCW 90. I believe he was just going through the motions in WWE waiting for his contract to be up, and he was going to retire, but we all know how the story ended.

  • @metamorphosis743 How could Owen have gone to WCW with Bret if he signed a no complete clause? You've not really thought that through have you?

  • @metamorphosis743 Brock only got out of his cos he could afford the legal fees. Owen could not.

  • @1981bigdee That's why Eric Bischoff should have paid the 100,000 dollars like British Bulldog did for Owen Hart to breah his WWF contract and go to WCW with Bret.

  • I never knew Owen wrestled in WCW at all. If they had better management, he could have been as huge as Bret . He had more than enough talent and mic skill to be a Horseman, but I don't know if his off screen personality would have mixed. Being a family man and all.

  • he wanted to go to wcw after his brother got screwd but v.m. wouldn't let him out of the contract :(

  • So it's WCW's fault that Batista was a horrible worker and flunked out of the Power Plant? WWE has missed the boat on many stars themselves...so it's not like WCW is the only company to have had future stars start off and not get anywhere in their company.

Chris Benoit worked in both WCW and WWE before he made it big in Japan and ECW... WWE also had Christopher Daniels working dark matches, and Shotgun Saturday Night for months,... Samoa Joe as well worked Metal/Jakked.

  • Well i have seen everything but never aw this, thanks for putting it on.

  • He was a WCW style wrestler from the beginning. He should've went back to WCW back in 1997 after his brother got screwed over.

  • @cashfire2003 Actually he tried to leave, but McMahon would not let him out of his contract. He let Davey Boy and Neidhart go, but not Owen. He did receive a raise for not letting him go.

  • @Kdavis12100 I know that was no excuse at all! But you know something, I'm actually surprised that Eric Bischoff DIDN'T pay the money it would cost for Owen Hart to break his contract with WWF and be released so that he could've went to WCW Nitro and Thunder with his brother Bret! Considering Vince didn't want to pay off Owen's contract, I'm shocked Eric didn't pay the money for Owen to break his WWF contract. Maybe it just wasn't worth it financially for WCW back in the late 90's, so stupid (:

  • @cashfire2003 Actually he tried to leave, but McMahon would not let him out of his contract. He let Davey Boy and Neidhart go, but not Owen. He did receive a raise for not letting him go.

  • @Kdavis12100 Yeah, a raise to the rooftops and then a drop to his death.

  • @cashfire2003 Given the chance, I'm sure he would of, it's a shame that he was locked into contract with WWF. I would of loved to see WCW run with the Hart Foundation anti-USA angle, especially as they would of appeared on many southern area shows with WCW, almost guaranteeing a whte-hot reaction. The Hart Foundation of Bret, Owen, Davey Boy, Neidhart, with Benoit taking the place of Pillman....feuding with a babyface faction led by Sting and Flair, culminating in a War Games match. Oh yeah!!

  • @Taylorslade123

sounds great but at the time WCW was all about the WCW vs NWO feud.

  • @cashfire2003 Wasn't he under contract from 97-99?

  • @cashfire2003 He was going to, but he didn't wanna pay off his contract (otherwise he would lose money), so he was going to stay until his contract expired.

  • @cashfire2003 He wanted to go to WCW with Bret and the rest of the Hart Foundation after the Screwjob. Vince did not let him leave his contract.

  • @cashfire2003 he had no choice, WWE wouldn't let him out of his contract

  • @ThePGeraFuckingSucks they would of they let many out of contract. People forget the way he died he did a few times before and was fine.People blame vince but it aint his fault if anyone it people who set up the rope or whatever it was! He was a good guy he didnt deserve to die but one plus to take from it is he died doing what he loved instead of doing what many do after retire live with life of injurys pain become forgotten and die a young death my aim in life is 2 b remembered n he will be

  • @cashfire2003 sad to say He would still be alive today.

  • @cashfire2003

You're crazy. They COMPLETELY wasted Bret. Imagine how poorly they would have used Owen.

  • damn right wcw was where wrestlers with wrestling skill stay had he stayed or gone back like you said he would have been alive today!! THESE ARE FACTS!

  • In one of my old observers, it said WCW didnt sign Owen because they thought he was too "stoic" in his tryout matches.

  • HOLY $h!t. WCW had Owen Hart too?!?!? So WCW had Steve Austin, The Undertaker, HHH, Mick Foley, Kane, Edge, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Jerry Lynn, Raven AND Owen Hart too but let them all go. Nice thinking WCW. Is there any other future megastar WCW also had but let slip through their fingers? I mean besides Scott Hall & Kevin Nash. WCW let them get away too but treated them w/ more respect when they returned as established stars.

  • @GiantPantherTX Oh yeah, I also remember that WCW had a chance to sign Batista too but was flunked out of the Power Plant by Sarge who said he had no heart for wrestling. Batista then became one of the biggest stars of the post-Attitude Era and main evented 3 Wrestlemanias. So congrats WCW; yet another future megastar you passed on that could've saved your miserable company. You could've possibly also saved Owen Hart's life by signing him. Bastards.

  • @GiantPantherTX So it's WCWs fault Owen died? You WWE mark.

  • @RMilvae I said COULD'VE. If WCW had signed him and made him a star, it's possible that he never would've been put into a position to risk his life needlessly in the WWE for a Monday Night war that was pretty much over. And for the record I blame the WWE more for his death than WCW. I also watch TNA more than WWE these days.

  • @GiantPantherTX

But Sarge was telling the truth. Batista didn't have a heart for wrestling. And besides how was he supposed to know that 10 years later the guy he flunked would've been a WWE champion?

  • @GiantPantherTX @one time yes OWEN was with wcw long before he signd with wwf'wwe but they wanted him to move to atlanta & he wanted to stay here in calgary with his family & friends. <3 you forever OWEN

  • @summer27619 you are not even close dude, he was in WWF in '87, this was his WCW debut 1992

  • @brethart87 lol i'm not even a dude :p & i've done my research OWEN did try out for the wcw before joining what is now wwe but they wanted him to move to atlanta where they're based he wanted to stay here in calgary with his family & friends though he did eventually do some matches with wcw he was never completely with them sad really he might still be here if he had been with wcw?

  • this must be rare

  • should have teamed him up with pillman, thats a high flying team i'd have loved to see!

  • @philibusta2k7 i agree...they put him w/ Ricky Morton instead

  • Owen DOES look like a nugget here, doesn't he?! 1965-1999

  • owen is still the man
