  • Sounds like he is only addressing male ministers!

  • Thank you, Rev. Hoye! Thank you.

  • My problem with this guy is that he violates GODs ordinances by being a Progressive...as in "social Justice"...as in redistribution of wealth, as in Marxist, as in traitor.

Progressives are liars against the Truth.

Jesus is NOT a community organizer and NEVER suggested legislated theft of other peoples property..

    so.

the progressive is getting a taste of his own liberal bullshit.

just goes to show that one cannot be a progressive traitor and a Christian with the same heart.

Who were Christs' followers? the poor, prostitutes, the repentant sinners/criminals.

Let us not forget his beatitudes; according to Matthew, the meek inherit the earth; according to Luke the kingdom of heaven is the poor's.

    Christ also said:

"If you wish to be perfect, sell all you have, and you will have treasure in heaven, and follow me."

The story of Lazarus and Dives.

As well as the land laws of Leviticus:

you have been misinformed about social justice and likely liberation theology, from that demagogue Glenn Beck.

See rev. James martin dismantle Beck's misinformation here:

Social justice(both the word and concept) were coined and elaborated upon by Jesuit scholars and theologians; men who dedicated their lives to studying the Bible. They know more about Christ than Beck.

  • @smoothsk8r44

Not only are your views of Christ and God's word distorted, you have distorted views of what progressives, Obama, and social justice stand for. Obama is not Marxist. Note how organizations like the International Socialist Organization do not support him and deride progressives as "putting a happy face on capitalism."

Some of Obama's rhetoric is anti-big business, but it is mostly populism and ignorance of how business' work.

  • As conflicted as I am on the issue of abortion, I agree that what is happening to this man is really horrible

  • What's with these sleazy Christians bearing false witness? Hoye isn't being silenced, hell, the guy is speaking right here. The 1st amendment is not an absolute.

  • Right, Pastor Hoye isn't being silenced, he was only put in a jail for a month for peacefully holding a sign. Where are you from, Cuba?

  • Oh please, anti abortion scumbags are all about trying to intimidate people from doing something that it legal. Hoye was convicted of violating a city ordinance regulating his bullying. So far, that ordinance has not been found to violate the 1st amendment. which makes the rhetorical question of this video bullshit.

  • I'm a Jew and to me the scumbags are the one aborting babies and those who say the 1st Ammendment is NOT an absolute.

The founding Fathers thankfully disagree with both.

  • Let the critics mock and plead technicalities. Meanwhile, blood and bone is flecking the 'medical' executioner's mask.

  • This guy needs to worry instead about all the Blacks double-timing their wives, dropping out of High School, unable to read or write, refusing to use birth control.

  • If anyone has any doubts about whether this was a jury trial or not, they can look at accounts of the trial on the Life Legal Defense Foundation web site. Or look up the Oakland Tribune coverage of the trial. Google is your friend. You could also contact lawyer Michael Millen, he is in the San Jose phone book or why not ask Rev. Hoye? He should know.

The truth is out there and available.

  • Rev. Hoye was not arrested for expressing his "First Amendment Rights" or for standing in front of a clinic with a sign that says "Jesus Loves You and Your Baby. Let us Help You." He was arrested for violating the Oakland "Bubble" ordinance. He was convicted of violating the law (2 counts of "unlawful approach"). Later he was sentenced to 30 days in jail for not complying with the judge's sentence. If you are going to do "civil disobedience," then you must be prepared to pay the price.

  • Wow, dude, you are in some serious denial there.

  • I guess you are right. I was under the impression that a jury of his peers convicted him on two counts of "unlawful approach." Rev. Hoye wants to challenge the Oakland ordinance, so he must needs break the law to do that. Life Legal Defense wants to take this to the U.S. Supreme Court. The U.S. Supreme court has already upheld these "bubble laws." See SCOTUS "Hill v. Colorado" (2000). Pray, Rev. Hoye, pray. You'll need it! It is up to the courts now. We'll see what happens.

  • Yep, serious denial. There was no jury, only a judge. The US Supreme Court once ruled Blacks are only 4/5ths of a person, wanna stand behind that one as infallible?

  • Excellent video! Thanks for getting it up here and on Walter's Facebook tribute.

  • You are an inspiration. God be with you, with government, and with the women and children you sought only to help.

  • Yikes. There's a Facebook group in support of him, be sure to join
