NO NO NO! The Crucible is so fake! The affair never happened! She was 12 and he was alomost 60! And by the way, the witches were never burned or tortured. Most were hanged, one, Giles Cory, was pressed to death

its actually based on the salem with trials but the author, miller, decided to age the main characters, abigail and proctor, so that he would have a more interesting plot for the cause of how the witch trials came to be..so in the book she was 17 and he was in his mid-thirties...
