@WhelanBass945 They're for different pickups. The P-style pickup goes into a distorted amp with lots of mids and highs and the neck humbucker goes into a clean amp which has lots of bass and maybe a bit of low mids.

That hair lol. Loved mr big when I was a kid. Sheehan is a good bass player but he was a victim of the times. Too much flash and no soul. Personally I'd rather listen to a good oldschool funk or Motown bassist over him any day.

If you watch his bass solo you can see the same style but than much faster and you'll see that it's the best (surely for me because i'm a bass player and I use the same) technique you can imagine, And maybe to you it's a horrible style but to me that's the best style and rithym.

I used to be a virtuoso drummer and bass player. Fuck it. It's much more difficult to write a decent song. Don't waste your time practicing. Write something good. Virtuosity only "wows" the crowd.....it doesn't make them "feel" anything that deeply.

Rush are much better at balancing material and substance over virtuosity. This guy's a fucking hack.

For Get out of my yard he uses a double necked guitar. One neck has only 3 strings, all tuned to octaves of E. And also on that neck he uses a "Human Capo".

Actually he did quite a bit in his early days, there's quite a few examples in some racer x songs, you'll here it in Frenzy for one. He stopped doing so much later on and he never thought he was very good at it and it mustn't have been very fun for him.
