i would say get a ring or somethign without the bead cuaseee if it rest on your gun it indents, then ive hear dtha tit wears down on your teeth if it sits on the all the time, but def. keep it looks really good

you need a thicker gauge captive. 16g works for me. that looks like its 18. and whenever i have 18g in it always gets irritated. or put an eyebrow bar in for a bit and let it heal up.

you might need a bigger ring because the ball is supposed to rest on your teeth not your gums that is possibly why it is irritating it. i had a regular horseshoe ring in mine and i had no problems with it.

Wash your mouth out with sea salt and mouth wash and change the ring the will make your gums bleed more

That's why I wear a segment ring in mine. That ball really does become irritating. And I've had mine for about 4 years with no problems cuz of seamless rings.

Or maybe try a larger sized CBR (not guage, just diameter)? There's a couple of different things I would try though.

Instead of taking it out try putting in a different type of material, like on BodyArtForms they have Flexible plastic curved barbells. That should irritate your gums alot less IMO.
