  • I like the video....but... I dislike "Letterman"..

  • Very funny! :o)

  • AFTV, AFN, ABCD who cares, the top ten list was still funny! 8-)

  • all pervasive propaganda...

  • All well and good, but only the MARINES have been invited to march on stage.

  • Correct-American Forces Network-why did I say Armed?

    :)

  • Part of American Forces Network (AFN) The little icon means Air Force Television News- but it's all the same Beast. It can be your best friend when overseas, nothing like Dawson's Creek reruns 3 times a day to chase away the blues. It costs pretty much nothing to the American taxpayers due to no commercials- we have "informational messages" regarding American history and tradition. After 6 or 7 years of watching this, it actually helped me make rank in the Air Force faster than most.

  • AFTV is Air Force TV. My family is majority AF so i can say from experience that it is Air Force TV. "Air Force Rox Military Sox!"

  • It's technically called AFN, American Forces Network and when you're living in a foreign country, it can be your best friend. Nothing like Dawson's Creek reruns 3 times a day to chase away the blues :-) Actually, we don't get commercials so it costs virtually nothing to the taxpayers, instead we get "informational messages" regarding history and military tradition. After watching it for 6 or 7 years, it has helped me make rank faster than most!

  • j10 will screw your ass.

  • f##k number 10.

  • Sgt Stanley haha

  • I can't believe there is actually an Airforce TV channel. There's a better way for the airforce to spend their money than on broadcasting. The media is the ultimate enemy of war. By broadcasting troops movements and plans of wars, you give the enemy a heads up on how to counterattack. The Irag war would've been open a lot sooner if it wasn't for military media.

  • Duh, the AFTV channel does not broadcast to civilians. They only broadcast on closed tv. This is how my husband and the other guys get their news, and kept up to date on other things going on in the Air Force. What you civilians see isn't *everything* in the world going on. Such small minds.

  • "YOU civilians?" Oh, so you're not a civilian? A dependent wife is now Active Duty?

  • I think perhaps you read my comment the wrong way. Yes, I am a civilian. What I was getting at was that those not associated with the military do not know what AD military know- or their spouses. Maybe we aren't supposed to know some things that we do know...but we end up knowing a lot more than some of the joe schmoes that comment in forums.

  • Yah, good call... Sorry :-) I know what you're saying. I think I was feeling especially bitchy that day!

  • #5 sounds hesitant. Are they reading cue cards?

  • Yeah no kidding. I will be lucky if I get a pilot slot. I might end up flying, but just not as a pilot.

  • Ugh, I'd have to say a small portion flies, and this just gives little kids the nerve to ask us all what plane we fly. That gets old quick...

  • I agree, I did get old quick. When I mention That I served in the Air Force people always ask "what plane did you fly?"

  • Air force TV!!! lol this is so funny

  • It's not Air Force TV, It's Armed Forces TV. Just thought I would let you know.

  • Actually AFTV IS Air Force Television. AFN is the Armed Forces Network.

  • lol the funny thing is... only 3 of those people are officers and might be pilots lol... lol they all make it sound like they fly too

  • They make it seem everyone in the Air Force flies. It's stupid.

  • i thought it was funny

  • I am just glad they left the SP's out of any jokes.

  • Yeah well at least if it was about SPs it would have been funny!

  • don't get me wrong, I have been an SP (SF) for the last ten years (active, now IMA). I have heard enough SP jokes as it is.

  • that was stupid as hell

  • Air Force is not all about flying planes. Infact, it's rare that someone will even make the pilot program in the Air Force.

    Funny anyways...

  • The jokes were funny, but it was obvious that the guys/girls who presented em were real nervous. I bet if they didnt put that fake smile on and just acted like themselves...they'd be a whole lot "funnier" not in the embarassing way, but in a humorous way.

Things like this make us look bad :(.

  • c130 is a really small cargo plane look at a c5 sometime

  • c130 is a really big cargo

    plane

  • I think it was just to be humerous guys.

  • I have to agree with natty that was lame. I'm a AGE mech so this really makes it seem like everyone in the AF is a pilot.

  • the airforce just humiliated themselves on public television.. not just people subscribed to afn.. (only military personnel would know that..)

  • afn sucks!

  • this was so staged-bad acting

  • a bit harsh comeing from a A-10 crew chief (kidding). What's a A-10 crew chief?

  • I'm an A-10 crew chief. Sorry, but this is lame as shit. They made it seem like everyone in the Air Force flies a fucking plane.

  • F-15 Crew Chief here...and that list wasn't really that funny.

A Crew Chief is a mechanic that fixes what the pilot breaks in flight.

  • Very Cool!

  • too bad not all of us fly...

  • what's a C-130 Hercules ?

  • the plane parked right behind them?

  • lame.

  • "bunnies and stuff" lol

  • "Chicks dig planes" that's funny.lol

  • Well seeing as how I am in the Air Force I find this hallarious.

  • haha nice

  • That's cool for guys that fly haha...I like the sound of their jobs....I'm on the ground... :(
