I hope all you cats feel where Qwel is gettin this inspiration. It's a song called 16 Tons sung by Ernie Ford in the 50's. It's about working in a coal mine. The miners were supposed to be able to mine out 16 tons of coal each day and as payment- in order to keep them from rioting and revolting and things- they were payed in "scrip" which was basically a voucher that could only be used in what was essentially the company's general store. And when you cashed in your scrip they took some as a fee.
