I have seen police action in western countries (US/ Canada/ Europe), when they overcome violent individuals. They have to be quick and decisive. Kerala Police acted with professionalism and used less force than that would have been used by cops in US in situations like this. kudos to them!. Also, that man may have died under some truck if he wasn't taken away. I congratulate the police.

Dont try to justify what police does in Kerala, no body has got any great opinions about them anyway..It is full of corruption and nepotism, just a hand of politicians and the criminals inside the force is another story. And dont try to say films are not real, today there are so many films especially with the new directors, showing exactly what is happening in real life.
