The just go to the isle where that door is; from there on you continue the quest like you'd have done with the log message, it make sno difference to the rest of the questline; I had the same, and now I have completed the entire questline without major problems.

Yeah I always use 100% chameleon. If it's annoying cause you can't see if your weapons out, use about 120%.
