  • All i kept thinking through this interview was : raekwon&bieber..

Not many people STAY real in the rapgame.

  • not that i dont like rae but lol the nigga aint on RZA GZA or Meth's level but he talkin shit

and also sexy ass chick that way ----- but i guess he'd rather watch the wall lol

  • Comment removed

  • Rza on 'Mantis': 'we be amongst the world's calmest individuals'. No kidding, man, you gotta love how calm and easy he is despite all the bullshit thats thrown at him, Rae publically berating him here, U-God's meltdown, Ghost's lawsuit. I love ALL those guys but you do get the impression that they underappreciate the RZA. 8 Diagrams is a work of art, though I can see why Rae was mad about it

  • who in they correct mindstate, would take cream from the Wu? you askingfor a severe punishment...

  • when he expresses his displeasure over rza'a creative direction he sounds like he is closed minded and is all about rehashing the same shit and doesnt respect true artistic growth. anything anyone from wu tang has ever done has never been as good as what they've done with the rza. hes like "yo nobody from wu tang likes this shit" but they all are steady putting out mediocre shit without the rza watching over their every move. most of the time real art is met with criticism from clueless people

  • @edcerc maybe he's basing it from his early direction in immobilarity and lex diamond story, those 2 went in a different direction too. And unfortunately it didn't go well. He probably learned that it's more important to be more consistent.

  • @thundertower i liked immobilarity but i just think the rza produced better results. it bothers me when people fight against artistic growth

  • @edcerc as long as rae won't try to recruit ghostface, mef, ins or any members on the group and attempt to make a group of his own, now that is serious. It's also good that his being vocal about it, it means that they have a good relationship, or maybe its not all that serious, rae's using this controversy to sell his new cd, its a great concept by the way, and i believe raekwons the only one on the group that could pull this off, very bold and risky because you know how fans get emotional.

  • @edcerc this shit could blow up to his face and misinterpret it as picking sides. Try to see this as a part of the story of the group, it's pretty cool. Besides he didn't really get personal with rza as a dj he just said.. he used orchestra and a lot of instruments like guitars, he also didn't totally bash 8 diagrams, its obvious he still has respect for rza. I bet rza's on the whole scheme too lol. Shows that wu tang is one of the best musical groups of all time.

  • @edcerc Well said.

  • wu tang was the best when the rza had complete creative control over the projects. as soon as he stopped producing the solo albums from back to back the quality severely dropped. raekwon has made classics but without the rza he is lacking in direction. His shit is stagnant right now you got guys like waka flocka who are not even trying to be lyrical coming with a new sound that is fucking your shit up.

  • I love Rae, but he's being a douchebag right there...RZA is the Abbot, you don't argue with the Abbot.......he know what he doin son!!

  • RZA is a little ahead of his time... how many people wasnt digging Bobby Digital? That shit was bugged out but it had some classics

  • I think the WU is a little Jealous because of RZA successes, he been in Movies Lately, American Gangster and Happy People....like RZA is getting PAID and the Raekwon is not! SUCKS but its true

  • @rdcvgr not getting paid? cuban linx 2?

  • @xaznbeaverx ..man, i'm talkin about movie deals..publicity, Rae even sound a little jealous

  • @rdcvgr

    word

  • i know this is olk, but it's crazy to see a guy slam his own album

  • 36 chambers and Forever every song was crazy but now its like Rza makes fill in songs on his new albums. Still a dope producer but its like he sorta running out of ideas. "Birth of the prince" Is a great example as its got some insane songs but the other half is a bit so so. But even the solo albums show the same thing as only the older ones have insane songs. Also i think it had to do with the era too as there wasnt much else to do other then battle on the streets

  • raekwon, shaolin vs. Wu Tang was not good you guys need to expand your sound from what was the origonal

  • @Bachilles38 word up, they acted like they were gonna make a better album than 8 diamgrams. it might not have been a masterpiece but it was way better than their shit. they tried to prove a point but the only point they proved was that they were dead wrong. and not for nothing the rzas beats on 8 diamgrams were insane and it could have been a classic with out the rest of the wu fucking it up with their lack of creativity. even ghostface who under the rza was the best is totally generic now.

  • give RZA a change at least......

  • Hearin this interview makes me wanna listen 2 Triumph and watch the video right now!!

  • Hip-Hop Hippy. lol

  • why the fuck would you want to keep making the same album over and over again

    fuck that fat corporate imposter

shaolin vs wu tang is terrible

rza knows what the future is

  • How the fuck u keep a MAN from seeing paper work that is ESSENTIAL to knowing how your money is handled? How tha hell is that possible?WU are real take no shit types and i cant see them letting mufuckas ROB them out their hard work.Thats some WHOOP ASS SHIT

  • hum so your doing songs with justin bieber and RZA is the one o fell off ?! I guess i just dont get it

  • BONG BONG!

  • you pimpin me and aint payin me!!!! I aint fresh!!!

    omg tooooooooooo funny!!!

  • RAE is right.....RZA is getting out of character...he need to understand that the HUGE wutang following doesnt wanna go in the direction rza is going in....we want that hardcore shit...those gothic beats with soul samples...RZA is a master at it....and while hes trying to create a new sound other producers are mastering his craft and its gonna get to the point where they wont need him AT ALL

  • WutANG fANS ARE fucking loseing it. You know its bad times when people are turning aganz wutang memebers these days but yett hollering out "wutang 4ever"...wtf is that shit. i think any originall wutang member can say whatever he feels. so fuck all yall lame ass fans who gotta problem with that

  • Raekwon is a fuckwit. RZA has alwayz been the Wu´s driving force. What has Raekwon done since Cuban Linx 1. Nothin.

  • @elektroindi Cuban Linx 2 was sick

  • Raekwon sucks. So did CL 2 compared to CL 1.

  • I know this was back in 07, but Raekwon is a hypocrite. No matter what Rza did, Rae can't say shit after doing a track with bieber and kanye west. I mean Rza's production style change, it's not like he changed as a person. Rae got a lot of explaining to do with us fans after that bieber track, how do you face the clan after that, seriously? It's a sad era for hip-hop. Atleast real hip-hop will go back to streets, fuck the mainstream.

  • @TheReasonableLogic the bieber shit was hot. pictured biggie on that shit, nas, az,. if i can see that here in south carolina, i know y'all niggaz listen to wack shit. i bet the shit lil' wayne did on a mix cd with ht white bitch singing was hot. fuck y'all wack ass niggaz! los s.c. 29010

  • @TheReasonableLogic Kanye is a fucking beast man.I really don't enjoy listening to mainstream hip hop,but I can say I wasn't a Kanye fan til this new album, that was a masterpiece.

  • Raekwon Bieber u don't respect the real rap today Rae what u does .

  • Why are you all blaming Rza for his recent work. I don't like it either, but still the work he did 36 Chambers, OB4CL, Liquid Swords. You gotta respect the man. And What the fuck you ain't feelin it Raekwon, You did a record with Bieber and you dare to say Rza piano guitar shit man get the fuck outta here, OB4CL2 is one of the greatest albums around this time, but record with bieber how can you take yourself seriously.

  • @MidlandKruiskade

Hahaha wow really? You judging Raekwon for doing a song with Bieber? C'mon son do you even know the history in hip hop? He's not the only one who did a song with a pop artist.. Look at Eminem who did a song with Dido.. Nas did a song with Lauryn Hill.. Ghostface Killah did a song with Mary J. Blige.. Method Man did a song with Mary.. ODB did a song with Mariah Carey.. This is not new.. Thats what cats do self promote themselves and keep up with the fans and the money..

  • @faddyronnie What you said is all true the only difference is that Lauryn Hill was a member of the fugee's or were and still stand as one of the best alternative hip hop groups of all time. But as you said Raekwon is a beast, even if he did do a song with bieber, dude can do what he want's,he's a fucking legend, who earned his spot.

  • Its funny how he talks to the wall

  • yeah well , Ice Water and all the garbage Raekwon has put out since WU tANG Forever has been complete shit also

  • @theELVISdoctors better than this dirty south shit i here in south carolina all day. fuck y'all, WU-TANG FOREVER. los s.c. 29010.

  • @theELVISdoctors Except for Cuban Linx II, of course. (Of which RZA had several beats and he was Executive Producer).

8 Diagrams wasn't amazing but it wasn't nearly as bad as people say it is.

  • ...& now he collaborates with Justin Bieber... What a hypocrite

  • Why Rea on most of the 8 Diagrams tracks

  • @Loy365 he was trying to reinstill the real, rza is out here fuckin around, he need to let 4th diciple take over. los s.c. 29010.

  • if you got seven or ate brubahsz tellin u bla blah blaah, u gotta take heed to dat

  • you know what the crazy thing is, compared to other cats in the industry, 8 diagrams was a banger....but compared to other wu albums it was average....that's how ill the wu is....greatest group of all time...period

  • @abcdefghjklmnrst immobilarity, most underated album ever

  • Yo Real Talk, Dem Beats RZA got, is Hot but, Bobby Digital is on some Bullshit. If any of these Dudes want some of them old Rza type beats, shit is basic, Get at me a minute and some seconds, its done. I will sell them too you, no more than a G,,, I got plenty of them.. I Believe in Rza but, time changes, Evolution is a MUST... Get @ me...

  • @Beyondlife7 haah, u need to plant ur feet on the ground.

  • @WHOOOPWHOOOOP

Haan Sun, I know Rza and I give credit to the GoD, I need not plant my feet when I am a musical Genius. I do not make just beats,I make music and have been doing so as a ghost producer for a minute. I got those type beats they are not complicated at all. Do not mistake my words for arrogance nahh, not even, I am speaking truth.

  • @Beyondlife7 im pretty sure nobodys gonna get at ya folk

  • @ren2020ky LoL,,, I do not really care, I have plenty of artists who have been getting at me for years so, I do not sweat Youtube for artists, are you kidding me, LoL... unlike most producers, I do not sell my tracks to just anyone, I was being sarcastic earlier. I don't make Beats, LoL, I make Music.....

  • I THINK RZA WAS STEALING WU TANG CLAN MONEY....SOMEBODY ONCE TOLD ME....IF EVERYBODY SAYING THE SAMETHING ABOUT U.....IT MUST BE TRUE

  • @gbreppin well considering he owns the name and every aspect of it, he'd only be stealing from himself. if anything, hate him for being the suberb business man that he is and setting it all up like that back in the day

  • will be seeing him and the rest of the clan in the uk nest month, cant wait

  • DAMN, her voice turn me on..she sound black/latina like a mothafucka...i wanna beat that shit up!

  • "we make punch you in the face music" - Raekwon

  • You gotta LOVE Raekwon's honesty.

  • Rae all day. Always kept it true and grounded. Solid cat.

  • i bought 8 diagrams and i think it was wack as fuck.....wu tang still number1

  • he´s absolutely right,we all know it...that´s why ob4cl2 was a hit cause rza didn´t had all production..what rae did was genius...got bunch of producers and got them in old rza state of mind..all of them came with old rza style beats..necro, alchemist etc...new wu was dope though

  • @TheFrankoi yeah for sure bro your fucking right.

u can try new sounds but hell man!! that album was dope, the necro song ooh my fucking goood!! PEACE!

  • thnx raekwon, real shit

  • she was mad nervous lol my dude the chef...WE AINT TRYNA HOP IN AND HOP YKNAHSAYIN WE OUT FOR THE GUSTO B N WE GON KEEP IT RAW

    WUTANGFOREVER

  • lmao he said he a hip hop hippie now....

  • Just because it's experimental doesn't mean that it's good, let's not forget that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Not everyone can come out of their element.

  • This interviewer just days 'Right' and seems to agree with everything he says. Respect the Creator Raekwon you fuckin chump

  • He has a cool voice.

  • RZA shouldn't get the blame for this shit.

RZA is basically the man that brought up wu-tang without RZA there wouldnt be a wu-tang. But wu-tang is the illest no matter what beef they have

  • rza ego is 2 big now save dat shit 4 your solo if its dat hot.

  • I kinda feel what Rae is saying thought... RZA has been doing some experimental shit since Forever. While is cool, most of the hardcore has been picked up by Ill Bill and Stoupe from Jedi Mind Tricks... and the big dog rappers from the Wu had been loosing that punch.

  • that lady is a BAD INTERVIEWER

  • RZA's too experimental for the rest of the crew.

  • Wu-tang is forever!

  • who's idea was it to meet at the motel??

  • lol, thats a good question.

  • Only the rappers that are smart and have knowledge of the whole game are gonna survive being independent. You got to know your business as well as know how to create appealing music. Only the masterminds survive, like with any profession.

  • It's because of the industry. The industry knows that the only way they're going to distribute an album from Wu on a major label is for Rza to seize control of the group. No wonder why meth is low key nowadays.. cause he knows not to get involved w/ record labels when dealing with Wu. Rza is to Wu-Tang as Eazy-E was to N.W.A... It's up to the group to create magic in the studio or they'll have to leave it into the hands of the masters. Everyones a pawn in the game, ppl must know this.

  • aceofking word homie. thats the truth. fuck the old bastards that the rappers sell their souls to. they need to grow some nuts lets take the industry back.

  • Look, I feel Rae as far as if it's true that Rza not listening to dues; because it should be collaborative, & the will of the whole

But on the other hand, i coped that album, and it was tight. I liked it. Was it the greatest shit I ever heard; no. But nothings ever going to be 36 Chambers again, because they can't come out of nowhere & surprise us again

He gotta role with some evolution. They can't do the exact same shit from 15 years ago. Keep the same spirit, but the sound can't be the same

  • who is rae talking too, lol

  • A silent goupie :D

  • Anyone heard Cuban Linx 2 yet?

    Great album.

  • I agree with Rae. The album is not weak but I think it could have been better. As a Wu Tang fan, I want something that we are really thirsty for and that it. I love a few songs on that album. Others I just like or I could just listen to it. That's not what the Wu Tang fans want. We want LOVE at least 85% of the album(100% would be great). They are still the champ and no one could take their title; especially those clowns(the rappers) they have out now.

  • Raekwon is one of the most lyrically talented in hip hop...Id say a definate top 10 contender of all time but I dont understand why the Wu doesn't get the respect they deserve...12 years ago they were on top of hip hop as the undisputed kings...now people treat them like nobodies......or even to act like that never happenned..... but I blame the newer NY artist for not showing them respect....south artist always give UGK, 8-Ball & MJG their due..and the west do the same with Snoop & Too Short...

  • fellin you on that one...

  • That bitch can't even get a word in edge wise, unless uh huh and right counts as a word. Next time I tell someone a story, I am gonna call that shit an interview and post it on you tube

  • I love listening to Rae talk. He always has a way of creating a story from absolutely nothing.

  • plz man...I like all of dem from da wu... Hes da only 1 i dnt like dis nigga act like hes da shit methodman always been da main nigga blowin up

  • what a dope

  • RZA said hes not a leader, hes the one who gives the most advice, seems like hes trying un intentionally to be a leader and giving some of these dudes bad advice. Lol wu tang will always be forever tho

  • GZA is the ''Leader''

RZA has been considered as leader but clan said in 36 Chambers in track ''Can it be All so Simple'' that GZA is the leader

  • GZA is wack. Everytime is see a wu tang performance or wu tang on tour he is never fucking there. same with RZA. RZA said on mtv cribs that every member leads themselves.. GZA isnt that devoted to Wu Tang as he should be or shouldnt have been

  • What the fuck ? GZA isnt wack

  • Thats not what I meant, really. Hes just not a collective member of the clan when it comes to live shows, hes busy doing his solo stuff. Obviously GZA is a great lyricist. He beat the fuck outta 50 cent too.

Re-United is one of his dopest verses.

  • dude gza definitely isnt the leader..

if you knew anything about wu tang youd know the rza is the closest thing they have to a 'leader.' he produces their stuff, he brought the whole clan together, hes basically in charge of everything that the clan relases.

the 'gza is the head' comment thats always thrown around is basically a reference to his lyrical abilities.

  • You mean that i dont know a lack of Wu?? What the Fuck, Whateva you say.

RZA is de facto leader. Im not going to argue this so, whateva.

  • To continue from my last post, i'm a wu head from day one. So i'm not on some Johnny come lately shit.(skipped school just to get Wu Forever back in 1997) I been dealing with the wu for years and living here in Miami you GOT to be a real fan to talk Wu to your boys when they talking Trick Daddy and Trina Etc. So i am a fan but Rza just spoiling it. Go back the the 1993-97 style (beaths and flow) and its all good. Hate the bob didi style bring back the rzarector

  • Well excuse me for being born in 1995

  • What? What are you talking about?

  • Hehe, you 36 Chambers is older than you.

But it cool you up on the Wu; rock wit the real Hip Hop.

  • I kinda agree with Rae. Rza been on some other shit for far too long. I mean from 36 chambers till Wu Forever Rza and his team (Cilvarings, 4th Disciple etc.) was going hard, but Rae is right, Rza ain't doing it. It was a time when I had to basically flip a coin to say who was better at making beats between Rza and Primo, now Rza ain't even on the map and the rhymes reflect how uninterested the clan is in his new styles.

  • you dont need to see nuttin!!! lol lmao lmfao!!!! i dont give a fuck...wu tang clan aint nuttin 2 fuck wit hands down

  • Raekwon will smack niggas!! He the type of dude if you get fly in the studio you could get smacked up and possibly bodied. You can't fuck with the Chef, Shallah Raekwon.

  • Raekwon that dude but hop off that nigga dick you dont know the nigga and what he can do to niggas or niggas can do to him

stick to bein a fan and not a dickrider hes not your boy

  • Get off my dick DEEZ NUUTZ10 you and your homie look gay together when ya'll walk down the street, stop jockin' me son!! My opinion is my opinion, besides you don't even listen to WU stop frontin' before you get smacked bitch!!!

  • hahahahahahhahahahahhahahhahahahahhhahaha

i hope u wasnt serious when u wrote that cuz that shit sounded like some sandbox kindergarden talk lmao

  • You a ho!!! Nigga get off my nutz!!!!

  • ..love Rae, but I don't remember hearing a whole lot of guitar on 8 Diagrams album.

  • TRUTH

  • this nigga could talk 4 days

  • "i'm not co-signin that one"

  • Love Rae's guitar impression.

  • RZA!!! GET BACK 2 BASICS HOMEY!!!!!

  • i got the Chamber Music album, its too short with missing members, but the sounds is all right again, back to basics, shoalin style for real !

  • I Hope they Fixed all of that!!

  • Rza fell off and Raekwon never did PERIOD. 8 diagrams was trash, actually everything after Wutang forever was nyaaaaaaaah! because of production. If you got 8, 9 cats not feeling the beats, how the fuk do you expect them to come across. as an Mc the first thing you gotta feel is the track. c'mon Rza

  • truth

  • @EEWWEEWW74KP rza fell off in lyrics....not in beats....NEVER IN BEATS

  • @EEWWEEWW74KP

The W was arguably a good album. I would say it was, some would say it wasn't all that.

Even if the RZA sorta fell off, he put out far more classic material than most great producers can claim.

  • Also, if Rae is so real, why does he say 'you can't make me a soul brother number 1 nigga.' but he was on PETE ROCK AKA SOUL BROTHER NUMBER 1'S SOUL SURVIVOR IN 1998 AND HIS NY FINEST IN 2008?

  • i dont think he meant it like that..

  • rae is real? its not about ego? rza lost his fucking wife and his child in the mid 90s because he was doing return to the 36, liquid swords, only built for cuban linx, and ironman in his fucking basement while he moved his family to ohio from staten island.. When did raekwon do anything without the training wheels?? Did i miss something here? Ghostface has a right to be unsatisfied with the album only because he came out with a classic sans the Wu Tang training wheels [Supreme Clientele].

  • it ain't about ego it's about the lifeline of one's career.

  • he's telling the truth. fuck what he did in the past. them wu albums flopped cause they outdated point blank.

  • i went threw the same thing as a producer, we had a group, made classic music under me, then "niggas" got egos and started wanting to act like producers, and go against the grain, not agreeing with nothing i wanted to do, just out of a "nigga" mentality that no matter what you do for them, it's not enough. rza made these guys MILLIONS and showed them the WORLD, and in the end look how they thank him.

  • Word!! I lost some respect now!

  • some people theones talking about the past needs to be the past....and musicians grow they should listen to rza blah blah blah.

if 8 of them say we dont like that fuck what rza wants. The sound they had in the 90's was TIMELESS. I rock them now and they bang jsut as hard..harder than this "NEW" shit. the beats are and will remain classics. i laugh when beanie made that song from EMPD's beat and the younger cats thinks its a new beat.

you wanna be experimental fine but you will lose your base.

  • RZA FINALLY RAN OUTTA BEATS!

  • hip hop hippie is great description for that rza nigga rite now

  • Rae is raw, spoke the truth. I really wasn't feeling that album at all. I only liked 2 songs off it - 'Stick e For My Riches' and 'Rushing Elephants'. Everything else was either average or... as much as I hate to say it, not very good at all. It just wasn't real authentic Wu-Tang. RZA went out on a limb with a totally new style that Wu fans just don't really like.

  • rae is real

  • If the other 8 members listened to Rza about everything, they'd be a lot better off. "Birth of a Prince" is the only decent solo Wu album to come out in the last 5 years. Lex Diamonds and Immobility? Now those are garbage albums.

  • love the wu, but ive 1 question 4 8 diagrams what the fuk its rubbish weres the grimey beats everythn we no and love the Tang 4.

  • i feel him

  • true indeed. shit was banging!

  • no loyalty

  • i listened to 8 diagrams more and more and more and i only feel like 3tracks on there it is fuckin garbage!!!! after 5-6years wainting for a wu cd come on man!!! and im the biggest wu fan ever i catch em every show they do as a group or solo

  • i agree the instruments and shit overwhelm the lyrics in the 8 diagrams.

  • 8 diagrams wasnt fucking garbage at all.. it was a great album and very under appreciated.. i agree that the sound is different which throws off all the old schoolers stuck living in the past.. rza and gza are the best in wu, and the most mature.. they are evolving as musicians and i think their work will be appreciated with time.. raekwon's a old-school, simple minded dude who is happy maintaining instead of evolving

  • 8 diagram was far from garbage. Can't top 36 chambers and all that..

valid argument by raekwon the chef

  • l can't stand that Miss Info bitch, always trying to be down w/ hip hop and shit, and she's the most NON-hood person

  • chinese bitch

  • you are no better than a hick. I pray that Gh doesn't stand for Ghana, if so please renouce all citizenship please, have a nice day.

  • ay whats wrong with hicks now? lol, now its my turn, as a person who grew up in vermont, to get mad at someone lol...if ur gona defend chinese ppl dont put down us hicks

  • they should get other wu affiliated producers like 4th disciple, cilvaringz etc next to along with RZA

  • RZA is just trying to progress a musician as everyone should. RZa is the abbott. make your own beats then. Without rza he would be nothing

  • True but yo, RZA's style is changing way too much to even be recognised as Wu-Tang anymore. Everybody in the Clan owes him respect but when he starts falling off, they can't just fall with him.

  • 8 diagrams was garbage. if you think otherwise you must be use to the bullshit out these days

  • always been with rae on this.

  • after rae is sayn this i know cuban is gonna be is sick

  • Im with rea.. who are you making the music for.. the 1990 niggas right? Do what made you famous..

  • but it aint he 90s no more thatd the thing... its not as easy as replicating what u did in the past tastes and styles of ppl always change...

  • Have no fear those in doubt about the rza- Wu ooh and criminology 2 just dropped from ob4cl2 album..that should shut most of you up about Rza's production..the man is entitled to make art thru music and drop solos like digi snacks. stop bitching, some of that shit was ill and not the david banner track!

  • you can't make me a soul brother number one nigger lol

  • she looks very interested.... NOT :-)

  • she takes forever to get the words out..

  • i def feel what chefs saying, im down with RZA tryna expand his creativity but i'm with rae we want that gutter shit!

  • The Greatest sometimes swing and miss... Judge true champs by their body of work.. Wu Tang Forever God.

  • who chef lookin at? lol

  • I feel what chef was saying. you cannot let no one drag you down in life. this is 2009 anyway. people need to wake up.

  • let rza do his movies I never liked his style anyway recently... Hes holdin them back more than anything

  • i love 8 diagrams but i agree with Raekwon cuz i did kinda get that vibe that this was not the real Wu...i mean the verses were dope like always and the beats were even good but something about it didnt give it that signature Wu sound...i know that RZA and Wu tang want to grow as artists but they can change up there sound without fucking up there style which i personally feel happend in 8 diagrams...the album was still dope though

  • thats real

i liked it, but i wasnt feelin a lot of the hooks and features on there

the verses were ill tho still

  • i just didnt like the hooks, features, and some of the beats... i blame rza for all of that, rae dont want OB4CL2 to be on that shit either

  • i feel what you're saying

but i liked the 8 diagrams

record...whatever the wu tang puts out

    is authentic hip hop

  • whatever the wu tang puts out is authentic hip hop ? even if it isnt authentic hip hop (like on the 8 diagrams album)?

  • the 8 diagrams album was different from their earlier stuff yeah

    that's granted

but it was still good in my opinion

  • Agreed..8 diagrams wasnt vintage Wu but was a decent album..

  • yeah that's what i'm saying

  • an album with wu members on it is always gonna be at least ok. but 8 diagrams aint as good as it shouldve been. wu are some of the best in hip-hop, so its only right they deliver the best when they come with it - especially after so many years away and especially when theyre best with the darker, meaningful shit.

i see that rza wanted to be original; hes an artist after all. but as an artist, most important thing is to get better as time goes on - and 8 diagrams was a step backward for wu
