  • I got yondan in Isshinryu. master Angi uezu if a great performer in Isshinryu i ever seen. after the age of 50 it is very difficult to perform like him. Oss to him..

  • I ove watching Angi Uezi

  • Excellent kata!

  • I just played Master Tatsuo's footage side by side with this video and it looks pretty much the same, there could be minor little details that I'm not seeing. This performance here he starts off some what slower than Master Tatsuo. The video I'm referring too is on YouTube.

  • Since Isshin-Ryu is still a quite new style changes are made to katas all the time. So considering the fact that he is the current Grand Master of Isshin-Ryu I think we can assume he is doing it correctly as it was in 1986.

  • ah and also when u do the crecent-fake kick and land all wierd u look right, left then stand.

  • Uh, I'm sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say? Are you saying he is performing the kata incorrectly?

  • Well ole Shimabuku was famous for never doing a kata the same way twice.

  • maybe Angi took was following dat example.

  • im only 2nd grade brown belt but i've finished kusanku and when he steps into zenkutzu datchi in the beginning it's small step with the left foot first and then big step with the right foot out into zenkutzu

  • So you are saying he is doing it wrong?

  • I believe he is. *G*

  • That was totally awesome! I'm training in Isshin-Ryu Karate and I just learned Kusanku kata last year at Black Belt Testing. Well done Angi!!!
