The Darts made here in Brazil (from 1970-1981) was equipped only with the 5.2 318c.i engine. Horse Power ranges from 198hp to 215hp.
Until today is the biggest and most powerfull motor we ever built for a passenger car in Brazil. See those GSS and Hemi Darts its pure automobile pornography to me. I wish we had back than a "Senhor Norm" here...
The economy has probably slowed sales on these types of vintage rides. If I had a lot of discretionary cash, I'd order a Mr.Norm's car-beyond the cars and the legend, Norm supported the troops back in the Vietnam era when it was not in vogue. Word is that when somebody was getting drafted or sent out to SE Asia, Mr. Norm would give them back their deposits and work with vets when/if they got back. My dad is a double vet, 32 year career military man and folks don't forget honorable deeeds.
Great to see someone bring back some of the great muscle cars of the 60's or 70's . With the high price of gas I see only the rich having one of these. Don't understand why the dash doesn't have the oil and volt gauges instead of off to the right.
I think you'd have to be rich to buy one regardless of how much gas costs..looks like the price started at $150K! You have to be rich to buy any Factory original vintage muscle car period. I bought and owned a 70 T/A Challenger in the mid 80's, could NEVER afford to buy one now.. Muscle cars are a rich man's car these days, new or old.
Only thing I don't like about Mopars is the tendency for them to put in automatics instead of manuals.
