  • I figured it might be a work...one of the best kept secrets, i suppose...for the past however long, bret has seemed genuinely pissed about it...

  • BRETT SHOULD HAVE SLAMED THE REF

  • el medio escupo que le tirò bret hart a vince 0:57

  • Me cago en Vince y ME CAGO EN VADER

  • wow this is crazy.

  • whats the story on this one, i don't get it?

  • It wasn't part of a storyline, it was a real-life double crossing...Vince couldn't have Bret going to WCW with his WWF Championship Title now, could he? Bret said he would give it up the next night on RAW, but what owner of a multi-million dollar company would risk that with a wrestler who was no longer on contract?

  • that clears things up now, thanks

    also thats pretty messed up

  • actually he still had 4 weeks left on his contract.

  • Ah, I see...Then why did Vince do it? Couldn't they have figured out another way to have him drop the strap or did Vince do it for publicity?

  • Vince Macmahon y Teddy Long HIJOS DE PUTA!

  • HAHAHAHA BRET COMING BACK TO PLAY A GM CHARACTER TO REPLACE TEDDY LONG DURING HIS VACATION!!!! WOOT! that y taker got"scrooed" of course it was in story unlike this) and it was in montreal

  • vince es un hijo de puta traicionero

  • exato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg is it this popular? type in montreal then there'll be montreal screw job

  • it makes me sick how shawn michaels sucks up to mcmahon and hhh so he can do whatever he wants

  • I am gonna take Vince's side here Hart became a right bastard toward the end of his run in WWF

  • watch 0:57 you can see bret spit at vince's face cause he knew he just got screwed over...

  • Its a huge gob too...

  • michaels himself looked surprised

  • Breaking Point's screwjob was fake... this was not

  • If it was real

  • this was the rest aint

  • it's hillarious this kind of stuff happened on the breaking point ppv last sunday, the montreal screwjob part 2 lol

  • Montreal Screwjob AGAIN on Breaking Point

  • its happened 3 times lol

  • when was the third one, this was first, breaking point second, what was in the middle?

  • im sure at no way out 2003

  • k hogan vs rock at no way out 2003 was in the middle.....when the lights went of....how do i know cause i live in mtl and i was there for all three screw jobs

  • dere woz one wid goldberg and bret hart in wcw

  • this is history right here

  • Thats what he gets for leaving, he knew what type of guy vince was he should have waited to lose the belt before getting all big and being a champ and saying hey im leaving u for the competition vince so they pretty much screwed each other

  • i did'nt see bret tap this is crap

  • Get over it.

  • no and you can't make me

  • because vince double crossed him,

they both agreed that bret would win before leaving wwt but vince and shawn secretly discussed that this would happen, so this was actually real

  • AGAINST C.M. PUNK!!!!!!!!

  • i guess that we will hear the truth when shawn michaels retire.

  • this was the saddiest thing ever that´s not a dead .....this was sad.....poor of bret hart....

  • history will bound to repeat itself trust me bret more ppl r gonna end like dis

  • This screw job in Montreal was real, the screw job in Montreal part 2 that you saw last night between Taker and Punk was scripted bullshit. Just like WWE to be unoriginal and bland. And yet again we have to sit here and remember this screw job day in WWF history.

  • the two wrestlers don't understand anything , black out faces

  • despues de 12 años aproximadamente, ayer en el evento de breaking point parodiaron este suceso...

pero lo hisieron mal la verdad no se vale.

  • Taker/Punk was scripted which either way was just bullshit but next month Hell in a Cell ppv will b revenge.

  • They did the same with Undertaker last night he got screwed Undertaker didn't even tap the ref just rang the bell WTF vince?

  • UNDERTAKER THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

  • michaels looks confused and pissed off as if he wasnt part of it

  • He admitted later on that he indeed knew about Vince's decision to let him win. He just didn't knew when in the match or how, just that he would win.

  • again at breakin point

  • omg bret hart has squirt mcmahon after screwjob:)):D:D

  • ''spit'' sorry:P

  • this will always be the original screwjob, but the taker/punk screwjob was funny

  • CM PUNK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol he did spit

  • Did Bret Hart spit on McMahon at 0:58 ??

  • he just lift his hand he never tap out

  • & IF ANY BODY REMEMBER'S VINCE McMAHON GOT UP & ORDERED THE REF TO RING THE BELL & SO VINCE SCREWED BRET ! CAUSE IF ANY BODY HAS THE VERY FIRST PPV THEY WOULD SEE & THE 1'S ON YOUTUBE JUST SO HAPPEND TO BE "COVERED UP"

  • i thought it was absolute brilliance to re-enact the screwjob in the main event at breaking point wid undertaker

  • Thats fucking true! LOL.. no wonder it seemed familiar

  • lol I just came to see this because this happened today !!

  • me too.:)

  • hoy tb a abido eso en breaking point taker vs cm pink...

  • The same thing happened tonight at Breaking Point in Montreal

The Undertaker loses against CM Punk because of a SCREWJOB

    that's no joke

  • I was actually waiting 4 that shit to happen. I knew that the WWE was going to pull that shit off. first HART, now UNDERTAKER

  • lol Montreal Screwjob on Taker!

  • the ref was funny:P, he got hit and normally they are all weak after getting hit, but notice how fast he is getting outta the ring:P

  • Bret spat in the face of Vince

  • THE REFEREE GOT THE FUCK OUT REAL QUICK

  • youre right the prick bolted

  • u get me lol u knew wat woz goin on , everyfing in dis video annoyed me apart from wen bret hart spat on vinch mcmahons face

  • hey veces que creo que siempre buscan un pretexto para burlarse de bret hart en wwe.....semanas antes de summer slam por ejemplo pusieron su tema de entrada dos veces me parese....creo que lo hacen apropocito.

  • Back when Shawn Michaels meant something.

  • The 20 year deal that Vince reneged on was due to the fact that with the way things were going in the company, they wouldn't be able to afford that contract. Vince told Bret this and he ACCEPTED it, hell Vince practically helped by throwing out leads to make WCW up the price, so there's no point in bitching on the contract.

  • wow is bad wave is the theft

  • how was it a screwjob

  • The story was Bret was leaving for WCW, but he was WWF Champion at the time. See, Bret had told Vince that he wasnt leaving with the belt, but Vince wanted to take the belt from him anyway(for some reason). So, just before S. Series, Vince changed the booking making Shawn the winner, and told everyone, except Bret. I'm sure you saw Ref. Earl Hebner call for the bell when Bret did not tap. So Bret got screwed.

  • agree,bret was a little overrated...now whos your daddy montreal^^

  • haha bret hart is overrated.

    hbk and dx for life

  • Anyways i want more of these things to happen they bring some realism to the Boring usual Pre-Rehearsed Shows.........

Get Goosebumps seeing things like this imagine the same with Rock & Austin...

    Would be EPIC !

  • yeah that's why when he walks to the ring you see everyone bowing down with their hands!! that's your opinion but you have to be a hard nosed boss!! look at bischoff, he was a sweetheart with all the wrestlers and no one took him seriously and you saw how wcw ended up!! they couldn't push any new stars!!! rock and mankind segment had 8.4 rating and wcw had 1.2!!! lol idiot!

  • Vince McMahon is certainly one of the scummiest business people ever, even in pro-wrestling where there is a higher then average quota of scummy business men.

This whole thing started when he got Bret to sign to a 20 year contract and then changed his mind. That's really professional! While Bret was negotiating with WCW, Vince kept changing his mind about whether or not he could honor his contract. Uhh how about you get a F'n clue in the first place?

  • vince is a legend :-)

  • :57....Bret Hart spits in Mcmahons face.

  • i dont see why people act like this was vinces fault like hes evil. first of all, bret turned his back on WWF by joining the rival company WCW, second of all, why would you expect vince to let you betray WWF and still leave with the title?! i understand where vince is coming from. only part where vince was wrong, is not telling bret that he was gonna lose. other than that, vince did what was best for business.

  • Bret signed a 20 year contract he didnt want to go to wcw, vince couldnt aford to pay bret say he TOLD him to go to wcw. Bret felt to loose the belt would hurt his career, he would loose the US fans respect. It wasnt about loosing to HBk or the title. He wanted to loose the title to shamrock next night or leave it vacent.

  • true but he didnt feel like it would hurt his career he didnt want 2 lose his last match in his hometown

  • watch wrestling with shadows, he states it has nothing to do with losing in canada, he's lost in canada a million times, it wasnt even his hometown.

  • but that next night he would be under no obligation to do so

as his contract expired the night of the PPV

  • I'm sorry I used to argue both ways in the old days because when you rationalize what Vince did it makes sense. However after it all came out in wrestling with shadows you know who the guilty party was. Fact: Bret never sold out, he was forced out. Fact, Vince PROMISED him a respectable end. Fact Bret would never have defaced the WWF title, he would have vacated the belt in a dignified way and most importantly they humiliated Bret in Montreal and wrecked his relationship with the fans.

  • people talk about wrestling tragedies such owen harts accident, the von erich family, bruiser brody being stabbed to death, but no ones ever mentions this the biggest fucking tragedy and absolute joke ever

  • the sound is messed up

  • lol Heabner got the fuck outta there the second the bell rang he knew what was up

Heabner was in on it too what a fucker

  • wut would you have done if you were vince?

  • If I were Vince, I would of have respected a legendary veteran's wishes to finish is great career with a championship victory in his own country like he deserved.

For all you idiots that think Bret would have taken the belt to WCW, you're absolutely wrong. Bret had way too much honour and respect to the WWF and McMahon for what they did for his career to do something like that.

Shame on you Vince McMahon for screwing a legend in the wrestling business and all you morons who defend him!

  • Comment removed

  • so with wcw breathing down your neck, with your company nearly bankrupt, after having your womans champion throw your title in the trash on national tv, and knowing what a snake bischoff is and seen his little stunts he's pulled in the past you would allow bret to still be champ and go to wcw?? if he had never been beaten you know biscoff would have turned that into an angle and called him the wwf champ on wcw nitro!!! your so full of it, anyone who says they would do different are idiots!

  • bret screwed bret.

    get over it.

maybe if he didnt demand more money than everyone else and act like a dick, he wouldnt have gotten screwed.

  • Exactly- This was at the height of the monday night wars, Vince had already had his women's title belt dropped into a garbage can on WCW Nitro when his womens champ signed for them, WWF was losing money bigtime and if Bret had gone over to WCW with the belt WWF was dead. I for one can understand why Vince did what he did... even if I don't wholly agree with it.

  • It wasnt Shawn Michaels fault he was just doing his job, the blame is on Mr mc mahon, he stuff up the match. you can see brett hart didnt tap out. Mr mc mahon should have handle the situation more appropiately and let the match continue.

  • lmao shawn acting all clueless what a horrible actor he knew what up that why his ass bounce the fuck out as quick as he can

  • Shawn is a pussy. A little girl, he was ment to drop the belt to Bret at WM13 but refused and "Lost his smile" anyway. Bret would have never disgraced WWF by leaving with the belt, he says he would drop it the next night against anybody including Shawn, he even said he would drop the title to Brooklyn Brawler if thats what vince wanted. Rewind to 1991 when flair came to WWF with the WCW title, disgracing WCW, but he is regarded as a hero, a legend. Point is,Bret slept, ate and drank WWF.Best Ever

  • You can hear Hart saying "I quit"

    Heabner is a great ref!!

  • bret was screwd by vince, shawn ,triple h & the ref,b4 the fite the ref lyed to bret & after it backstage shawn when he was crying lyd to brets face, read "BRET HITMAN HART"book & it tells all

  • We woz robbed.

  • the ref was like, "fuck this i'm out! I'm not getting my ass kicked!"

  • Shawn ran his pansy ass out of the ring like a bolt of lightening because he knew Hart would have beat the shit out of him.

  • yea i know man lol look at the referee as well because as soon as he pointed to the bell he ran straight out of there haha

  • I heard bret hart new what was gonna happen.....kanyon said in a radio interview that bret told him he new about the screw job b4 hand

  • Yea, Kanyon sounds like a reliable source....

  • Vince McMahon played an absolute blinder here. Screwing Bret Hart over like this paved the way for the whole Attitude Era which made the WWF far more popular than WCW. The real villian here was the coward Shawn Michaels who acted like he hadn't a clue what was going on, when he plotted the whole thing with Vince Mcmahon.

  • Shawn Michaels only did what Vince told him to do. He told everyone who knew about it to deny it if anyone asked. And for it to be blamed only on Vince. If anything, Shawn is the total opposite of being a coward to actually go through with it even though he knew that there was a chance of him being shot over something like this. Bottom line is, HBK possibly saved the "WWF" from being shut down if he hadn't of done what he did and let Bret take the belt to WCW.

  • shawn didn't only do what vince told him to do, he obviously wanted to win and would do anything he could to do so

  • WTF are you talking about? Bret Hart would have a great 'hero' amongst all those guys. Stone Cold, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, HHH are all variations of the same charecter.

Brett was unique and a better wreastler than all of those guys.

Its a disgrace this happened but I do wish he would have handled it better.

Brett 'the Hitman' Hart, the excellence of execution = 'the best there is, there best there was and the best there ever will be'

  • I don't think Vince would screw over a guy this welknown and respected through this world its to portray Vince's character within the WWE, Bret wanted to leave, but Vince had to continue the legacy of the company, there had to be some kind of controversy, once bret left, there wasn't much 'beef' between superstars, hence this moment helped us see Vince's cruel & egomaniacal role..later which hyped the Austin era, letting us think there is someone to confront Vince's harsh character..think bout it!!!

  • My view!! its entertainment, I think the whole feud, hating canadians and american is brilliant!! Hacksaw,I may just agree with you, this is something so staged perfectly I reakon it can almost be scripted!! and how can I enforce this decision..even uptil today we are here talking about it..if not WWF then Vince has surely got a moment in history, I mean the Fabolous Moula incident didnt get quite the attention as this!! I think it was a genius script thought carefully about, esp the implications!

  • What are the chances this was scripted? The more I think about it the more I think it would be absolute genius if it were. Vince could have gone to Bret and said listen, I know you are leaving but what if we have you leave making it look like we screwed you over? I don't know if they could admit it now if they wanted to.

  • As I remember it, VInce wanted Shawn to win it, but Hitman had in his contract that he could decide the final match himself, so he did not agree.

  • lol bret spat in mcmahons face

  • You can't blame shawn. he didn't even know what the hell was happening.

  • yeah he did... he admitted it in an interview, but you still cant blame him, he was doing what he was told

  • i guess nothing good happens in montreal

  • oh boo hoo to the bret fans he was leavin the company to go to the comp. wcw ....hbk rules!

  • LOL Earl did a head stand @0:05

  • Comment removed

  • i remember this shit...still pisses me off everytime i watch it

  • end up in a trash can on Monday Night Nitro like a previous belt (cant remember which one at the time). Nobody is completly inoccent in this sutuation. Brett didnt want to play ball right so he had to get screwed over, in a sense. Besides what is he doing now? still a hot shot wrestler? Havent heard anything not worthy out of him in years. In fact the last thing i can remember was he was signing autographs at a mom and pop pizza parlor in Lodi, Ca a couple years ago. now thats the big time, lol

  • Your thoughts on who was at fault aside, little harsh your comments on Bret Hart. The man had a stroke and lost motor function. Besides that, he's a national treasure in Canada, and owns a portion of the imensely popular Calgary Hitmen. He needs wrestling like he needs an icepick in his head.

  • They were intended as harsh. Im for one am just tired of the whole Bret is a god who can do know wrong complex that so many people have. I think it goes without saying im not a fan of Bret, but i was unaware that he had a stroke. Even if i did i wouldnt have touched that, im cynical not heartless. I wouldnt wish a stroke on anyone and have the deepest sympathy for those who have and the families effected by them, especially those at so young of an age.

  • The Woman's championship was thrown in the trash by Medusa on her jump from WWF to WCW.

  • doesn't count mate. cos it was a woman

  • What I was talking about was that Vince was afraid of Bret Throwing the WWF championship in the Trash like Medusa did with the Women's championship on live TV which would give WCW even higher ratings then they already had. but what you said was your opinion and I'll respect that. But Bret should have just lost the match I mean I understand you don't want to lose in your home country but I mean it's not even a contest it's entertainment. But you can't change the past.

  • i know mate. you're opinion is completely right - it's just the women's division is a brand extension at best.

i agree bret should have lost the match under orders. it was bad want vince etc did and i hate clique groups of all kinds. but bret had his clique group too and it just wasn't as influential as vince's. it's just a shame bret went out that way

  • I love how so many people take what Brett says in his book as 100% the truth. Boo hoo i got screwed, i was trying to be a team player but blah blah blah. Well i Hart's fans can do that the i can take what Michael's says in his book as 100% the truth (same logic isnt it?). Brett wanted more money, wwe didnt want to give it (or didnt have it) so he was leaving for WCW for more $. He refused to lose in Canada, and was due to jump ship any time and Vince couldnt have him leave with the belt and it

  • Everyone should know you should never tell your boss about your departure before something big happens.. I think that was a mistake. Overall, McMahon was harsh

  • Canadian fans are retards...

1997 CALLED, THEY SAID GET THE FUCK OVER IT

  • I love how the referee just bolted it afterwards...LOL and Shawn Michaels was like pretending to not know what happened even though he came up with the plan...LOL

  • I love how the ref just jumps straight out there knowing Bret was going to lash out....

  • he needed to be screwed over if hart stayed with the company the wwe never would have taken off he didnt wanna put over michaels so what makes you think he would have been willing to put over the rock or stone cold the entire attitude era would never have happened bretts head was to big for himself and he didnt wanna do whats best for the company so the company did whats best for itself

  • That's bullshit. Bret Hart didn't refuse to lose to anybody in his entire career. Shawn refused it a couple of times. And when Bret said to him few days earlier "I respect you and if Vince wants me to put you over. I got no problem with that". Whereon Michaels replied "I can't say the same thing about you". BAM! So Bret Hart used his contract which allowed him complete character control during his last 30 days in WWF. He insisted to not lose in Canada and for Michaels being so arrogant.

  • he wanted to take the wwe title with him wcw i love how you just igonore that fact

  • Bullshit again. He offered Vince to lose it against Stone Cold or win at Survivor Series and drop it the next day at RAW.

  • really cause even hart himself admitted that he wanted to leave for wcw with the belt vince didnt just do that for no reason he had no choice you completly made up that thing about austin austin wasnt even a main event star at that point and he wouldnt have gotten the belt

  • He never admitted he wanted to leave with the belt. You made that up. Austin was about to grow main event and because Hart respected him, he made the proposals I told you above. Stone Cold wasn't the only guy he had in mind but the others I have forgotten to make room for more important things.

  • lol it funny even the referee was in on you could tell by how fast he ran out of the ring and shawn micheals.everybody was gone as soon as the match ended no celbration or nothing

  • i dont get it

  • wot wos this all about. can some1 reply to me . full story

  • what happened was brett hart didnt want to lose to anyone especially shawn michaels and he was leaving for wcw in 30 days because basicly vince wouldnt let him do whatever he wanted so at this survivor series in bretts hometown vince had the bell rung and without brett even taping out and without brett knowing brett thought he was gonna win and thats what they told him before the match but no vince rang the bell for no reason and michaels ran out with the title in montreal where brett is a hero

  • That is mostly true except for the fact that Bret isn't from Montreal, he's from Calgary. He's from Canada so he's famous.

    Vince is a bastard.

  • hart was a basturd for wanting to take the wwe title to wcw which would have ended wwe for sure vince had no choice hart was a great wrestler but he was no different than all great wrestlers flair hogan hart triple h hbk they all did whatever was in their best interest

  • WWF** fuck that bullshit rebranding.

  • he's from Calgary? damn crowds suck now a days Sgt Slaughter pulled of a shawn michaels by faking out the crowd with bret hart music and the pop was like mid card level cheers and it was at calgary

  • No those fans actually cheered loud its just tht there was only about 7,000 of them. I really kind of think Bret Hart is a little selfish but he had every right 2 be beat the crap out of McMahon. That was bulshit.

  • search on wikipedia. its all on there

  • It's funny how the crowd is pushing Michaels around when he's leaving. 1:15 1:17 1:18

  • mc mahons a bitch

  • I'm loving the gob straight in vince M's face. Bret Hart was the best there was and the best there ever will be.. His books amazing too and a must read for any WWF fan.

  • its been over ten years and people are still bitching isnt bret in the WWE hall of fame now? like are you guys fuckin serious give it a rest Shawn did was his boss told him to do and im pretty sure you guys wouldnt risk your job for a guy who fuckin hates your guts fact is they did what was best for the company bret wanted to do shit his way thinking he was the boss when WWF was in a competition against WCW you cannot risk anything Shawn said he wants Bret to induct him in the hall of fame also

  • best win of HBK's career!!!

  • Shawn played it off pretty good. Made it look like he didn't know that that was gonna happen. Which he said later on that he knew right before the match. But Brett wasn't gonna take it with him to WCW. He said that he would lose the title the next day on RAW.

  • May sound like a stupid question but do the crowd realise Bret got screwed? I mean they reacted pretty angrily.

  • Yes, as far as I know, they realized rather quickly. You could tell by the way Bret reacted after too.

  • They were like WTF at first, but just as they saw Bret get all pissed (he literally spat on Vince's face), they realized he had been screwed.

  • no bret was being a dick he was bitching about not wanting to lose and wwe did what was good for the company if bret does leave w. the title wwe is fucked in soo many ways...bret was unprofessional it doesnt matter where u lose a title he was goona lose and hbk was a straight up pro

  • You're almost right but not totally.

Bret didnt want to lose the belt in Canada because of the storyline that was going on at the time but he would've been happy to either lose the belt anywhere in America or hand it over on Raw the next night. There would've been time to make him lose it as his contract with WCW didnt start for a month after Survivor Series.

Vince was just worried Bret would screw the WWF so Vince screwed him first to keep the belt safe in the WWF.

  • ummmm no....bret refused to lose to michaels ANYWHERE especially in canada though, he was suppose to lose this match but said he wouldnt drop the belt to michaels or lose in canada and he wanted to hand the belt over and say he was going to the WCW, which would of destroyed the WWF if he did that

  • no he was bitching about not wanting to lose in his hometown, which was canada, and in his contract said he would has "reasonable creative freedom". so brett should have got it, but vince screwed him because he didnt want him to take it with him to WCW, WWF's biggest competetion.

  • then there's always the theory that the "screwjob" is the biggest hoax, job, work in wrestling history, and we're all falling into Vince's trick. Just a thought, but it is out and about out there.

I'm not looking for a youtube fight either, I'm just asserting an opinion, which apparently I'm not the only one, that this infamous "screwjob" may be the ultimate screwjob to the fans.

Remember older fans..Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler? How long did we believe that?!

  • shawn has since admitted that he knew all along.

  • fuckin fake wrestling...

  • 1:15 push mo-f u c k e r

  • fuck bret hart he can suck on my balls, michaels would kick his arse in a fight nw, specially now hes had the stroke, thats what he gets for takin roids, michaels never took them and is in much better shape.

  • is Hebner

  • either HBK didnt know about the screwjob and ditched fast or hes an amazing actor

  • oh hbk new
