My stoma was reversed over a year ago, however, this wasn't posted on all of my video pages. My bad, but I am now fully recovered and doing as well as somebody can with this sort of history. :o)
@CassieCarey84 This is why I put them online. I found it odd that not a single nurse does these practices in the same manner... so I took the best from all the methods I had seen.
another problem I have is tryin to get accepted by others,,because of my illistomy,,and the fact I dont drive and stuck in a small town that has nothing,,and that Im 48 years old and still a virgin,,I never have had a date before or anything,,ostomy chronze disease dibitic no sense of smell,,brittle bone disease,,20 percent hearing in my right ear and only 10 percent hearing in my left,,doc said it will get to the point to where hearing aids will do no good,,not much going for me
do you have a speacial kind of diet that you eat because of this I have 2 different diets one for my illistomy and one for my dibitis and both diets are in reverse from each other,,,so I eat what ever and I hope for the best,,
MrJohnSUP, thank you so much for the video. all of the videos you have posted are so much helpful to the others. Hope you will always be strong. Benefits to the other viewers are numerous. Tc much.
Thank you for making this video. I recently got an ileostomy during colon resection for severe diverticulitis. I am constantly looking for tip and tricks, especially when it comes to skin care around the stoma. My skin surrounding the stoma has gotten so irritated that it was bloody and raw, so if you have any advice, feel free to share. I have an ostomy nurse, but I have found better advice from those who live with an ostomy than those who care for an ostomy. Thanks again.
thanks for you help bro. you know that this summeri was in my country and i so a guy with mental issue walking around the street with a hole and a yellow thing coming out of his stomach i thought that the skin was infected. now i know the name of that. thank you very much and very brave of you posting this video.
This helped me, im only 18 and suffered from ulcerative colitis, if i didn't have this i would currently be dead. Luckily I have had two more surgeries for the formation of a j pouch.
thanks for your video, this will helps a lot on my part because i will be caring for a lady senior who is about to be discharged from the hospital...keep going and living for the best of your life...

I am so amazed at how brave you are. I'm sure it was very difficult for you to come to terms with having to take care of your body in this way, but to share it on youtube to educate and help others is truly amazing. I wish you all the best as you heal. This should really be an anti drinking video. Thank you again, and I love that your cat couldn't but help try to steal the show.
An amazing video. I'm surprise the way you explain like you're confident of how you take care of yourself. Definetly, this video will help so many people. I'm a nursing student and I'm really glad to see people like you. Good wishes for you! :)
Thank you, John for sharing this video. It was really helpfull material for care of the stomas colloquim tomorrow. Im glad it is a temporal issue in your life and hopefully will never have to be repeated. You are brave man being able to care of yourself now so easily and in a relaxed accepting way. Wish you all the best. thank you again!
Im currently studying for my nursing exam and this video really helped me visualize and understand a prolapsed stoma. I appreciate you taking your time to do this video, thank you.
