  • No mention of Joe Pepitone? How could you not?

  • Dusty Baker is doing no better in Cincinnati.

  • @Jiltedin2007 If the Reds ownership/management have any sense (which they don't), they will fire him before next season.

  • @Skull10 Most likely. Even during his managing days in San Francisco (Remember those days), he was a Stupid Idiot! Giving the Game Ball to a Pitcher 5 outs away from winning a World Series? That was the "Wake up call" the Angels needed to win the 2002 World Series! And before that allowing your kid (As a Bat Boy) to be standing around Home Plate while Giants are trying to score? Good thing J.T. Snow was heads up and saved Dusty Baker's son from getting seriously injured.

  • @Jiltedin2007 i remember that play well, and am never remiss to point out that if he can't even manage his own 3-year-old, how can he manage a Major League Baseball team?

  • @Skull10 No shit! And how about the following year after Steve Bartman went after a Foul Ball? Baker should have calmed down Mark Prior after the Bartman incident. But no, the Marlins exploded for 8 runs in the 8th Inning before the Cubs went up 3-0. Steve Bartman was a Stupid Jackass. But Dusty Baker is even far worse than that!

  • @Jiltedin2007

The Bartman play was bad, but the botched double play by Alex Gonzalez was a lot worse.

    And yeah, Dusty's terrible.

  • @jddrewcares It was all Karma, my friend. The Gonzalez botched double play ball was all Karma after Steve Bartman couldn't keep his hands in his pockets. Common sense tells you that if the Visitors are coming to bat, any foul ball questionable to land on the field, or withing range of the Fielder SHOULD ALWAYS BE LEFT ALONE!

Giving up a Foul Ball in exchange of your team winning the Pennant always tends to work out for everyone.

  • Im a reds fan ive lost faith in mr baker. sometimes I think he just throws crap on the wall and sees what sticks

  • @lemostat I never had any faith in him. I was sick to my stomach when I first learned he became the Reds manager. The only reason he won with the Giants and Cubs is because he had two of the very best players of their era (Bonds and Sosa) and some great pitching with those teams. Joey Votto, Scott Rolen and over-performing pitchers were the reasons they Reds won in spite of Rusty last year.

  • @lemostat He sits players when they are hot and plays them when they are cold, refuses to have the same lineup two days in a row, leaves pitchers in too long and takes them out too early. The man is moron as a manager. Worst of all, he is a lazy, passive, "player's manager", meaning he lets players pretty much anything they want without instilling any discipline or a drive to win. He is a glorified baby sitter for grown men, nothing more.

  • During that season, Wood and Prior were both coming back from the DL and the media was reporting on every side session, soft toss of towels, their "simulated games", telling us all how great they were coming, and then in the games - not so good.

  • 2:09.; What'd he mean by "Simulated games, they're good."?

  • @catholicdad Then failure must make you happy.

Rusty Faker is worse than Bob Boone.

  • As a life long Cincinnati fan, from Cincinnati, born and bred, and after nearly 20 years since "Sweet Lou" left, I'm pretty damn happy with Dusty.

The Cubs make me smile--hope this new century is better for you--still miss Harry and Steve Stone blowing him.

  • @catholicdad

I, personally thought Dusty wasn't all that bad.; Lou Pinella was a little bit better, though. Mike Quade, this year?...: Questionable. I think we'll be fine.

  • dusty sucks it is because of him that we lost in 2002

  • @magermetalhead

Indeed.; We got Mike Quade, now, so, that should help us out, next year.: :)

  • It's popular to blame Steve Bartman (who was actually a non-factor) for the Cubs' failure to reach the world series in 2004, but it was Rusty Faker's mismanagement of the pitching staff that ultimately cost them.

He has ruined several great pitchers, including Mark Prior and Aaron Harang.

He couldn't even manage his own 3-year-old son (ergo 2002 WS incident at home plate). How can he possibly manage a Major League Baseball team.

  • I'm thinking the Reds like your boy.

  • I love Dusty the REDS R takin the CENTRAL! CUBS SUCK!!!!!!!!! PERIOD

  • 2:44 guy on left looks like lovie smith

  • Why do you not mention Alex Gonzalez. He is the POC that bumbled that ball after Bartman. If he makes that play, you ain't singing. Alex Gonzalez is the reason for the 8 runs in 2003 to the Bottom feeders. You must not really follow the Cubs to give him a pass. But look who pours you your coolaid- Ozzi, fell for the first to 3rd trick twice.

  • Can u name the last cub manager to win a postseason game? Its the guy this cub idiot is talking about. Cub fans wonder why they eat shit every october its because of shit like this u dont enjoy what u have. Instead they are like handicap kids that what to fly planes sorry kids it just cant happen they are the cubs end of story. At least u guys have a winning tradition and the best player in baseball only 5 hours away if i was in chicago I would take a drive down to see Pujols its well worth it.

  • @aufer21 they blame goats cats and their own fans and they wonder why they get cocks shoved down their throats everty october its the cubs its not going to happen or it would have already hahaha 1908 was a great year for the model t lolol wow 102 years straight why even play??? hahaha i guess so they can keep finding things and people in chicago to blame losing on. you know?

  • they only reason they aint firing dusty baker is because they don't have money to hire anyone else

  • Well, Dusty Baker did have Wood, Prior and quite a few other pitchers throw a shitload of pitches. As a result, they've suffered quite a few injuries (although some were a result of freak injuries, such as getting hit by a line drive).

That, and he had Willy Tavares bat leadoff, DESPITE his anemic OBP. Also, he believes guys like Adam Dunn "clog up the basepaths"

  • 2:28 LMAO

  • Want to make one for the Reds please?

  • and now somebody should make a video that will get Lou fired

  • Trade ya Duhhhsty for Lou straight up. We'll even include Dick Pole free.

  • Comment removed

  • Marlins won 2 times in last 12 years, this video is a joke to our franchise

  • Ok i hate the cubs guts, but how the hell is it a disgrace?

  • i have to agree with wowow1001 on this one, he did have the best team, and he lost it.

  • ok kskelly08 shut up im surprised u even know who peter gammons is, the reason that dusty is a bad manager is because he had almost the best team in the league, and he couldnt do shit with them, its not all his fault i'll give u that, but u cant say that he was a good manager at all

  • @wowow1001 couldnt do shit with them? you mean being a few outs away from the world series was "not doing shit" also Lou HAD the best team in the league and got swept two years in a row! and the cubs have been shitty the last two years and a lot of people think the team has a lot of wasted talent. Who's in first place with a bunch of young kids right now? oh...thats right Dusty!

  • Tell me what Dusty did wrong that makes him a terrible manager? Tell me all that you know about baseball and it must be a lot since you think you are an expert on this subject. I am expecting a Peter Gammons like report since you think you know what your talking about.

  • Noob.

  • It doesn't matter what Lou's regular season record with the cubs is the record that matter is 0-6. Getting swept two years in a row by the NL West is embaressing. Dusty is one of the best managers in the game, he cant control Lee, Prior, Wood, and others getting hurt. Can't control Patterson never being the same after hurting his groin. He did the best with the talent he had which was shitty. Whoever made this that thinks Dusty is a terrible manager u must know a lot about ball. (cont.)

  • He can control Wood and Prior getting hurt if he knew how limit innings and pitch counts! If you look at 2003 the last year that both of them were healthy for the season, he ran them out there for over 120 pitches 24 times that season, with the majority coming near the and and playoffs. He let Wood throw 140 one game!!! So glad Cincy has young arms so he can blow those out too...

  • well hell they cant win shit with lou

quit trying youve sucked since 1909 so just give it up

  • cant win shit.. besides second in the majors last year with 97 wins... u r a dumbass

also we have more total wins than any other team so suck my dick

  • it doesnt matter when you cant win a playoff game it might as well been the pirates. at least they might have won a playoff game. Who is the last team to win it all from the central? I but its a team that won a playoff game. HAHAHAHAHAHA GO CARDINALS!!! 10 time champs

  • how is your cubs now? guess i hate to say I told you so. Wow I thought you guys were going to be good. At least you have the Hawks and Bulls

  • How can you hate a manager who gave you your best year in decades?

Because in order to get that magical year, he had to ruin your chanes of having one like that in the near future by destryoing the arms of Kerry Wood and Mark Prior.

  • actually lou is the best coach we have had this decade

  • I agree Lou is the best manager this decade. But he has yet to match 2003. Hope he does this year.

  • Actually hope he does even better, but I'm not holding my breath.

  • i like dusty, but this song is very catchy

  • haha they suck!

  • Dusty Baker's awesome! Cubs suck!

  • @ZMRSC He sucked. He deserves the Reds LOL!

  • @wwefanworld He led them to the playoffs.

  • @THEZachRastall And ruined Priors and Kerrys arm. Playoffs? Thats great but he did more worse than good.

  • @THEZachRastall The Reds took HIM to the playoffs. They would have ended with the best record in the league if not for him - his countless bonehead decisions cost them no less than 7 wins this year.

  • what is the real song of this tomltra?

  • "We Didn;t Start the Fire" by Billy Joel

  • the Kennedy is Bob Kennedy, 1963-1965 manager.

  • sox!

  • funny! That is awesome

  • funny thing is you probly dont have a job and this is what you do

  • HA lol We didn't start the fire

  • i hated dusty

  • See you in October, my friend...
