  • I am using this video as a COMPLETE guide to learn this solo as my freshman year. This. video really helps!

  • I played this for my solo too

  • im playin this solo this year too

  • Played this yesterday. I made 5 mistakes, worst I ever did. Would have given myself a poor but I got straight superiors. Try some lip slurs, they help on the part with the straight 16th notes where u kept sliding down.

  • im playing this solo this year

  • @PIisCONFUSING so am i!!!!! in seventh grade!!!

  • you did very well :) when you play high notes your eyebrows go up :D fantastic job :)

  • This is my solo wooo. 8th grade. You did like... Amazing.

  • I'm a freshman this year and i play trumpet as well. I was, for solo and ensemble, going to play Conversation for Cornet, but I'm thinking of switching to this on the account my solo is way to easy.

  • im in 9th grade im gonna play this solo but i have to play it memorized.... :,(

  • CARL?????? I was thinking about playing this this year and I went to look it up on youtube, and the first result IS YOU!!!!!!! OMG!

  • it seems like your going alot faster than 96...

    because the orginal says 96...

maybe that is 96 idk though..

  • I don't think its supposed to go 96. I took it about 116.

  • @dillonshuffel

ya i started at about 116 but as soon as u started to play it went to 96...theres no way u were playing 116...i couldnt even play that solo that fast and i played it for a trumpet recital in college

  • You're actually not half bad, just try to emphasize dynamics. I mostly heard forte throughtout the whole excerpt. Also keep your chin flat, it'll help when going through the 16th notes. Good luck man

  • I'm an 8th grader and I am playing this piece for Solo & Ensemble (MS UIL) and this has really helped, wish me luck for the 19 of February!

  • oh, and thanks for posting, it'll help me get it down a bit better than my band teacher helping. XD

  • whoa man. I'm doing this solo for contest this year, and I'm in 12th having a hard time getting it down. D:! But i empathize with you, it's a pretty challenging piece, esp. at the end when I noticed it going downhill. What place did you end up getting?

  • i played this in 7

    th grade

  • very nice job with this piece i believe your suppose to be a small echo to the piano player. but other wise nice job

  • awesome job!! just make sure you're confident on your higher notes. what grade are you in?

  • @bandnerd2o1o 9th grade

  • bravo! sounds great! i see that you have a habit of counting with your fingers, lol, but sounds BOSS!
