What are the two powders you use in the begining? I watched all three parts of the video and I recognize all the other ingredients - but no idea what the powders are at the start.
Thanks for sharing...I would like to use the body henna for my hair, to color my gray. Do I mix it the same way with the brew you added or should I just use water and fresh lemons?
@janepriere You can, although it can be a game of chance with your end result. If you just want to practice henna designs on paper or yourself and the price is good...sure. However if you are buying the henna for an event tattoo or for selling your services as a henna tattoo artist - it is a risk I would not take. Meaning you will want to guarantee that your tattoo will be dark and beautiful after the paste comes off. If the henna powder sat on the shelf for a long time it may not work well.
@priety2m Hi, if you go to my channel the playlists should be to the right side of the window...all three are inthe henna craft play list - I will also try to send you a message
Hi.I I want to get a tattoo but am constantly nagged by my carers that it wont look nice with a wedding dress if I was to get married. So decided that henna was the next step up. Could you right down the ingredients so I can right it in my note book please?
Hey, I'm a question... I have henna only for hair, but is natural henna with other natural plant like indigo, centaurea, rhubard, betroot (The product is Colora ® Henna Powder - black) but powder/dust isn't black, is brown-green.
That isn't very "ground" Dx ...
My questions are: Can I use this henna? Those colorants (indigo, centaurea...) aren't toxics?
@cheetahnatz I would not use henna for hair unless it is simply henna leaf ground up to powder...if there are other additives it may cause unpleasant allergic reactions
@BAbdoyan indigo, centaurea, rhubarb and beetroot are only plants, but I dunno if this plants are probably toxics Dx in my country is very very very difficult find just natural henna :C
HEY! Nice video, but I have a question that what is the 2nd thing that you add to henna and what if u don't have the almost a lot of things from the video? How can u make it with out them?
I agree, this seems highly unnecessary. Lemon juice and sugar seems to work the best from what I've seen. FreeHandMehndi has great videos on their channel. That's who I'm learning from.
@Glaceon404 everyone has their own different recipes, you can learn from everyone and then decide through experience what suits you best. This video is well done in my opinion. For some artists, even lemon juice is unnecessary.
@holikarang I can understand that. I hold to lemon juice because I have seen some experiments comparing lemon juice, water, and tea pastes. The tea and water produced the same pale stain after 24h, while the lemon juice mixture produced a rich, darker stain. I'm not saying "Oh, this video is so stupid! Blah blah blah!" but without proof that it makes the henna stain any better, I think the whole process is probably a bit over the top, at least for beginners.
@Glaceon404 well, I see your point, but I usually don't only watch others' experiments, I make mine. I get beautiful dark stains with water only and same goes for some other henna artists I know. The best thing is to share views with many people. I have used both lemon and water and I get the same stain, but water is easier to find, cheaper, does not contain preservatives. By the way lemon juice hinders the oxydization process and I beleive it is used fot its acidic, hence 'burning', effect.
hello Babdoyan, i enjoy your videos and appreciate the fact that u are sooo willing to share ur self taught work with others. regarding the henna's name, it is pronounced Jam-ee-la! there u go, now u have it all right :)
hey guys the henna brew thigny isnt realy nessary it only deepens ur color but all u need for a good henna paste is henna powder and an acis like lemon jusce or apple cider vinigar and let it sit for a good 8-10 hours and let it go thru its color release but the coffie thing wont effect ur henna if u dnt use it!
All very beautiful ,,,,Is any one can tell me how to make liquide henna which we use to put on Eid with Bangles shops, with wooden blocks designe I want to know if some one can tell me that recipes of that blooks mixtures..please (How to make Henna Ink for Woodend Blocks)
instead of coffee, I heard u can use tea. !!!! it actually gives a nicer color.but not lipton tea, but ghazal tea. found at your local middle eastern store.
hi there thanks for the video but I wanna ask is that for hair or for skin and tattoo can I use henna for hair for tattoo or what I make it but it looks brown not dark brown or black on my hand sometimes it's orange can you help me please thanks
P.S. it's Jameelah it sounds Jameelah means beauty thanks again
It is paste meant for Henna tattoos. Natural henna will only create a deep brown to burgundy final color for a tattoo. Black henna is treated with dangerous dyes to create the Black Look, the Dye can cause permanent skin damage and scars.
@smallsab2 the producer writes it as jamila (there is also the urdu transcription on the box), which is actually a more precise and universal transcription.
Thank yo so much... now what is funny is my husband is fluent in Arabic, he has seen me use this box of henna hundreds of times...he remarked... "oh yes, of course, I know that... you should have asked"...lol!
There is a Fruit based gel than can be applied like henna to create a Blue Black stain, it is quicker to fade but it quite nice for the few days it is in full color. That gel- paste is called Jagua.
I am uncertain of what you saying, but if your asking why when the henna is dry and removed that the stain is orange?
Natural henna does not create a BLACK tattoo it creates and kind of oxidation of the dead skin cells, orange then over about 48 hours it turns more burgundy to brown.
Black henna is created by adding toxic dyes to the henna paste and is quite dangerous to use. It is never recommended, it can cause horrific infections.
Jamila-- Hard "J" [like Jack] ah [kind of like the a in Allah] then the "mila" is pronounced Meeeela.
If my Belly-Dance teacher was not lying to me, Jamila means beautiful.
