Tell them you want a bob with long layers, the bottom layer being longer in the front than in the back, with sideswept, very understated bangs.

But you have to have a certain kind of hair for this hairstyle to work--It has to be straight, with a little texture to create volume, and not a whole lot of frizz...and if you have frizzy curly hair that can take a long time to recreate.
