Saw Crumbacher last night in Corona, CA (1-8-2011). They were great. Despite not playing for 5 years, they sounded like they play every day. Sure, Stephen forgot a couple lyrics, but at the end he played "Once More for the Band" and this time, may really have been the last time...
Hey everyone - Crumbacher is playing again January 8, 2011 at Crossroads Church in Corona, Ca. Tickets are on sale now - for information for to Take 2 Productions facebook page - or Crumbacher's to find links. Undercover, Crumbacher, The Lifters and Michael Roe.
I so loved their music!!! I bought everything through Thunder Beach or Escape...which ever wasthe last one. I didn't care for the Crumbacher-Duke project.
wow.. this group brings back great memories, my favorite of their songs is the slow version of "Once More With Feeling, and Once More For The Band" this group rocked and still rocks..period..bottom line!!
I grew up in So. Cal. in the 80's and this was my FAVORITE CHristian group! Everyone thought they were amazing! Wha ever happened to them!? I remember seeing them perform live at Knott's Berry Farm! Now, that's memories for you!
oh my goodness...i can't believe they were this "big" wow! jimmy and dawn are my cousins! and i'm practically related to chris! lol don't add me here...i'm using my sisters youtube :P go crumbacher fans! p.s. i just saw dawn & chris's wife last week!
Wow, SO nice to hear these songs once again, bring back so many memories. That "Christian" segway/plug at the beginning though...lol...thank God some Christians are wiser and a bit more tactful than that ;)
Steven and wife? Nope. Steve's wife isn't Dawn. She and Christopher Duke ( of Crumbacher-Duke) play in the band ALMOST UGLY. Just thought you should know.
wow, did that bring back memories! i saw him when he opened up for Steve Taylor. Great concert, ended up first with tapes, but now have the cds.. though they are getting harder to find now.
I love this group. Incandecent was one of my favorite albums (ok CDs) back in the 80s. Do any of you out there know where I can buy a copy? Love to own this one again. Anyway, thanks for posting this one!
wow....sure, crumbacher is great, but those fans looked bored out of their minds. LOL, this concert was in the year that i was born, but i have grown up loving this group. it is weird though....look at how christian concerts have changed since then, they were all sitting at that concert! today people at least get excited! lol.....there needs to be more crumbacher stuff online...
LOL everyone's sitting down like good Baptists. :p I remember being amazed by this group when I was a kid. Interesting that Steve's performance is almost exactly like the studio version; not too often that happens. This was fun to watch.
There used to be the "Jamie" video on YouTube but it appears that ViaCom took it down. That was a great video that brings tears to my eyes. Maybe the video will re-surface.
I finally found these guys! All I could remember from the 80's was 3 words: "Incandescent" "Ex Ray Eyes" and "Tapestry". But, finally found a sight with the name "Crumbacher" and when I read it I knew-I remembered-their name! Cool...gotta track down some of that music now!
@lynnweida pretty cool because in the 80s, I think every single song written contained "incandescent, X ray eyes, and tapestry." i'm serious. In fact, those are the names of the first three tracks on every Thompson Twins record. :)
i remember Crumbacher coming to my high school in Mesa, AZ. I actually got to meet Stephen, cool bunch of guys. Reminds me of the group Undercover coming to my high school in 1985, played a mini concert.
The whole Crumbacher crew (well, except Dan) is pretty easy to find on Facebook.
