  • R-day july 2nd. Hooah

  • I HEAR THE CALL TO LEAD.

  • owns harvard any fucking day

  • My friend who is also my classmate just got recruited last week sign a 10 year contract with the marines and got a scholarship to play football at west point GO TEAM BAGGETT.

  • Anyone know the name of the piece of music played at the end?

  • just sent my applications into the naval and military academy, see who wants me :P

  • USMA Class of 2016! Can't wait for R-Day, July 2nd, 2012!

  • @CsMusicForGod same! Won't BEAST be fun..

  • In my view, America’s military personnel are the best in the world, and as a British man I am immensely proud of the fact that my nation still has many thousands of troops in Afghanistan alongside their American brothers, doing everything they can to destroy the evil, misogynistic Taliban and the murderous Al-Qaeda. As a matter of fact, aside from the United States, Britain still has more troops in Afghanistan than every other nation in the world put together.

  • USMA SLS 2012 Session 1. . . Can't wait!

  • @rainbowslayersrgay Me too!! see you there!!

  • @rhcp212 Sames!!!! can't wait!

  • I have to say that US has excelent publicity!!!!

  • United States Military Academy Summer Leadership Seminar application for high school Juniors opens January 10. Apply early!

  • Umm I'm guessing the ppl who disliked missed the like button?

  • *is

  • @Mike8901000- That us very stereotypical to say that the best officers are those commissioning out of OCS or ROTC. We both know that there are great leaders and not so great leaders commissioning out of each and every single source. Although, I do have to agree that West Pointers come off as arrogant for the most part. For that reason alone I might just put VMI at the very top of my list followed by USMA.

  • @tjdarkwolf- Nice you have a "recommendation" from a Lieutenant. Now work on the Congressional Nomination that is required for acceptance.

  • @ryanroosterr- You have to learn how to capitalize, punctuate, and know the difference between excepted and accepted before even thinking about receiving admission.

  • @giverdeadlyvirus- Great it's a dream. Now take the steps to make it a goal!

  • @peewee52293- There is a possibility that you could get into the Marines through this school, but it is a very hard process. If you go here you better make sure that you want to be in the Army. If the Marines is what you want, apply to the U.S. Naval Academy and NROTC Marine Option colleges.

  • @ToxicAsian5702- If your goal is to get combat enlist and get a guarantee in your contract stating that you will go to Airborne School and Ranger School. If your goal is to be an officer, than you need to apply to USMA. As an officer, branch selection is on a competitive basis so class rank at the academy will play a major role on combat action or not. Re-think your priorities and make sure that you want to go to this school before even applying.

  • Gott segne Heimerichsland :D

  • "... even your every day decisions effect the lives of others around the world..."

Well, thats right! They will effect all lot lives of others in the world!

... but the others in the world don't want the effect ;-)

  • If you graduate here can you do another military branch like Marines.

  • i will have to do community college before i can get excepted here

  • I'm thinking of applying for admission next year. I plan to major in Astrology and Harmonic Convergence, and minor in Yoga. West Point seems an excellent place to find my Oneness with the Universe, and I think West Point would be an excellent power vortex for gaining True Cosmic Awareness and living in True Communion with Mother Earth.

I hope to play the Jew's harp in the Army Band. Please throw your energy out Brother Moon and Sister Sky so that I will gain admission.

    Peace!!

  • Don't worry about not qualifying for West Point. You can always do ROTC, which is available at most Universities. There's also OCS (Officer Candidate School), which can be taken after you get your Bachelor's Degree. Remember, West Point is not the only way to become a US Army Officer. For those who are foreign nationals; Get your US Citizenship first.

  • dream school

  • @ToxicAsain5702 You need to be very physically fit and have good grades. Also you need a recommendation from a congressman.

  • im not an athletic person and i wanna go to westpoint. by not athletic, i mean skinny as hell and dont play any sports at all. im not that poor at sports. but nothing else. my brother is very athletic and gets straight A's and so did my sister. because of this my brother got into notre dame university as a swim scholarship. the reason why i am skinny is because i was born 4 and a half months early and was about to die. im only 14 and dont really get straight A's. but im only in 8th grade

  • @ToxicAsian5702 Your to young to know what combat really is. So you come out as an officer 2nd LT and you lead a platoon of men and still see combat, which nobody wants to do. To many of my friends have died right before my eyes. So go into armed forces it is worth is but you need to be sure about, its not for everyone.

  • @gaminghero47 ya. i know that maybe when i see combat i will never want to see it again. but i mean really want to be in the army. it might just be a phase in my life though. but being in the army is what i really want to do right now. i know i might see things that only people see in combat. But can you please answer my question? if you dont want to its fine and in understand. maybe im just turned on like most kids about going to war and fighting. i just want to make a difference though

  • i have a question. after westpoint, i serve as an officer. but i heard officers dont really see alot of combat. is this true? plus im not an athletic person at ALL and i really want to go to westpoint and army not because its cool. yes it is cool, but i want to become stronger and a strong leader.

  • @erice495able unless you're amazing at a sport and they want you, there is no way of you getting in man :( sorry bro sat score is way too low, gpa is very very shaky

  • lol you can tell this is a gov't vid. they're always showing the girls to make it look balanced...lolz 8 out of 10 cadets are guys...just a fact of life

  • I'm a junior this year and applying...hope I get in

  • Comment removed

  • @erice495able do you play sports and are you good at said sport(s)

  • Think I'll go...gotta get really buff though

  • Im 13, and made my choice already to go there. Its my dream to serve.

  • United States Military Academy and ''Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras''( from Brazil) are the best Academies of the world.

  • Ahhh <3 I wanna go there sooo bad <3

But my mam say's i cant cause im "Canadian" and they are "American" Jeeze mother, i wanna make my own choices

  • @DeathTideWarrior haha you can come to the USMA if you are foreign, however, you have to be personally selected by the President/Prime Minister of your country, and then personally accepted by Lieutenant General David Huntoon, the superintendent of West Point. it's extremely hard to get into USMA from another country, but it can be done.

  • @TheDeltaDawg I knoooow > w> My parents still wont let me though :/

It does in my views look better than RMC and St Jean... when i looked at their vids, that's for sure

  • I was there this past weekend!! It was amazing and big. It isn't the stereotypical #1 school. There was a very relaxed felling about the classes that i liked. I definetly want to go there.

  • who else got goosebumps?

  • @BGHZv I had them before the vid even started

  • No willing soldiers, no war.

  • cant wait to go there

  • here I come west point

  • im glad I got a recomindation to go here thank you LT

  • Going to this school is my absolute dream.Being only a freshman in pretty bad shape but I am determined to turn it around and make it into West Point. I have to.

  • See ya westpoint

  • My Older brother is a student at Don Bosco Prep. He is a A student, participates in three extra curricular activities, plays on the volley ball and soccer team, member of are local churches CYO group, he is also a sunday school teacher at the same church, and he is also a lifeguard certified in CPR. My brother is a outstanding person who shows unbelievable qualities and acts much older then his age of 16. As a Sophomore, He received a 1680 on his PSAT. Can he get accepted into West Point?

  • @thejellyboy99 - He sounds outstanding, but only USMA admissions can answer that question for you. There are thousands of other applicantss with resumes like that one, but the ones that make it show the most desire, max the CFA, pass DODMERB, receive a Congressional Nomination, show the most leadership potential, etc.

  • My SAT is 1870, I'm the captain of my Varsity Basketball team, im a Silver Palm Eagle Scout, and a bunch of other stuff. i just completed my file to USMA. im nervous as hell. but you know what, i wanna serve my country in the army. if i dont get into USMA, i'll be excited about Army ROTC's benefits/perks as well

  • i hope to attend this academy some day

  • Some dont know but once you gradute, you must be in the military for MINIMUM 25 years. Think about it :/

  • @55dickhead No you don't. Do more research.

  • @55dickhead That's not even close to being true...

  • @55dickhead its 5 years active and 3 years reserve

  • is it possible if you are not even in a sports team

  • Comment removed

  • @linmax08 They look for leadership. Being an Eagle Scout helps, being in student government helps, but yes, it is also good to be in a team sport.

  • @linmax08 Yes. As mrfunds122 said, they look for leadership. Come to think of it, now I might want to sign up for student government. ;)

  • Do you still have to go to osut or is that included when you go to westpoint?

  • is it possible to apply even if someone is from Europe?

  • @KRAUSER0130 - Yes

  • @KRAUSER0130 yes it is if your a US citizen but since your in europe is going to be hard as fuck

  • My brother goes to West Point and I'm determined to go there as well. There is no other school I would rather go.

  • I'm going to be a Senior this year. Is it too late to apply? :/

  • @DemonX99 no not at all the age requirments are 17 to 23 years of age. Best of luck ^^

  • i wanna attend west point !! right now im still in the high school and it is my dream.

  • @zyzll same here. become a general

  • lol im in middle school

  • @mrhsfm - It's never too early to start the process. I've been working at it since the 7th grade.

  • @rainbowslayersrgay theres a process?

  • @mrhsfm - Well just do great in school and be involved in activities (sports, clubs, etc.). Prepare yourself mentally and physically. The actual application process doesn't start until the spring of your Junior year in high school

  • That academy would be my dream to attend. Wish I lived in the US to apply and then serve the country after graduating.

  • @ryu144 you can apply as an international candidate.

  • You don't have to go into the Army after graduation. My cousin switched with a naval academy graduate on graduation day and went into the Navy.

  • @TheAustinWinter how can you just swtich branches?

  • I will be there in two years!

  • @rainbowslayersrgay you'll be there.

  • @WPUSMA1 You will too.

  • in 4yrs i hope to get in

  • Hope i get in.

  • do you know the "STRATIOTIKI SXOLH EVELPIDON"(hellenic military academy) if no then no speak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a que pinches uniformes tan culeros, para colegio solo el HEROICO COLEGIO MILITAR

  • I try to get an answer, When the West Point began real deep to train engineers as Higher learning institution? I understand, it happened relatively recently, but historical true can be more important than pompous hypocrisy.

  • I went to West Point, class of 1990, but had to leave half way through my second year due to a medical illness. It really is as exciting as the video makes it out to be. After I went to a large regular university and graduated but I was real depressed because it was nothing like the prestige and excitement of USMA. If you can´t get into West Point then go to one of the other universities that have a Corps which are not as difficult to get into like the Citadel or one of the other five.

  • i wish i could go to West Point

  • I know a general in the army and a rear admiral in the coast guard. Could I get recommendations from them or is it strictly vice president and congressmen?

  • @MrFlashbang12 - Yes, it is two diffferent things. The General and Admiral can both write you a letter of recommendation. The Congressmen/Vice President simply offer nominations. Without a nomination, you are no longer competitive. Although, there are other ways to obtain a nomination. I am actually a c/o 2017 hopeful. My Pastor, who is a retired Army full-bird Colonel and a former West Point professor, is writing one of my recommendations. Best of luck to you!

  • thank you,all the best for your future. Save your silver dollars.

  • What is the best airfore academy

  • @IpvBeastly - There is only one Air Force Academy in the U.S.. It is called the United States Air Force Academy and is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Entrance is basically the same as all of the other service academies. Upon graduation you will be a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force. I beleive 60% of the graduating class goes to Undergraduate Pilot Training in order to become a pilot. Don't quote me on it. It happens to me my number one choice.

  • @IpvBeastly the air force academy in colorado springs, colorado

  • if I go to west point do I have to go to the army because I want to be a marine

  • @jdr526 Marines are navy and not army. you can be a marine and not have to go to the naval academy. At the academy you become an officer at the end.

  • @jdr526 - Don't go to West Point if you want to be a Marine. Try for the Naval Academy. 1/6 of all midshipmen commission into the Marines, while the rest go to the Navy. If you do not get into USNA go to a university with an ROTC unit. You will still become an officer. If you don't want to be an officer I still suggest going to college first, but enlist.

  • c/o 2007 Always Remember.

  • Don't set your goals on just that school because in reality only a small percentage of officer acutally go there. Instead, prepare yourself for the military in general and be the best leader that you can be. That doesn't mean arguing on youtube. It really is pointless to try to get your point across to people. A real leader will take everyone's opinions and accept it. I'm not trying to be hard on anyone. Just trying to be helpful.

  • WP is top notch, but not every cadet was a great officer upon graduation. The service academy has a way of producing great leaders, but it is really what you make of it. There have been great leaders from small ROTC units and terrible leaders from USMA. My goal is the same as yours and thats getting into WP, but the bigger goal is becoming in officer in the U.S. Army. If I don't get in I will do ROTC and make the best of what I can. I believe you should do the same WPUSMA1.

  • Let me try to resolve this conflict. First off, all of us are entitled to our own opinions. Secondly, I want to thank FoothillsofWyoming for your service and I know that the Vietnam veterans didn't deserve the hatred that they received. My grandfather served there. Times were certainly tough and the country was in a strange place. So thank you again for your service. Now WPUSMA1, you have a strong desire to to go WP, but you can't take peoples opinions to heart.

  • @rainbowslayersrgay thank you for the " thank you," with out the Jane Fonda crap. A third option is to join the National Guard/Reserves and then apply the go ROTC. If you have what it takes you'll be accepted. Or go on active duty from there you can apply or a commission or even WP,see a recriuter for more details. The enlisted have more respect for one of their own who moves into the officer ranks.

  • @rainbowslayersrgay oh yeah,in most states the Nat'l Guard will pay 100% tuition,good luck.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming - Yes, I have taken that option into consideration and it is a third backup plan for me.

I understand that enlisted men have more respect for their own who have moved into the officer ranks, but I believe they will have respect for you no matter what if you prove yourself to them over time as a leader. With that being said, I feel that getting a college education first then becoming an officer is my best route.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming - It's always good to have other options other than the military. I hope to make it a career, but you just never know how life will pan out. As far as the college money, I am not doing it for those benefits. I am a 4.0 student and can find other means of paying for it, but serving in the military is a dream. To follow the foosteps of my father who was in the 82nd Airborne (enlisted) and be my family's first officer would be a blessing.

  • @rainbowslayersrgay 82nd HOORAH,those guys are to be admired. If your men find you approachable you'll be ok. Watch out for dirtbags and build a good team and your men will follow you into hell. NCOs are the backbone of the military. Train your team hard but give them time to blow off a little steam. Set the example to your troops. They will copy you. They will take pride in their leader as you will take pride in them. Think leadership and teamwork. NEEDS OF THE TROOPS FIRST. Good luck.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming - Thank you sir for the helpful information. I will sure take everything into account.

  • @rainbowslayersrgay Good luck with your career.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming I'm sorry that you had to deal with those rude comments. There's no one more deserving of America's respect than vets. Thank you for your service and your words of wisdom, sir. I'll take it to heart as I too pursue a career as an Army Officer.

  • It's the enlisted whose blood is spilled and wasted.Give it up.You want to know what it really feels like to go to war? Go to the VA and ask one of those "Old Farts," you don't respect. Kiss my ass and go back to playing Army. You aren't good enough to serve.

  • WP is not the throne of God.

  • I highly respect the Military Academy at West Point despite the fact I'm in the United States Air Force. I think they're prestigious, professional and good athletics.

  • if you can't take the stress of an online debate you'll not make West Point nor basic training.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming This is not a valid debate, all you do is say absurd comments!

  • I've helped a nation maintain it's freedom so that children like you can call me names.

  • Go Army beat Navy!

  • A couple things that helped my son get in are 1) He joined a junior R.O.T.C. program at his high school . 2) He attended The National Youth Leadership conference in Washington D.C. 3) He contacted our state's congressman and senators . . Do well in school and use all contacts available to you and go for it . Have teachers , mentors , veterans and others that know you well write letters to your congressmen / senators . Best of luck .--A West Point Dad

  • @jgcetnar THANK YOU SIR!

  • Patti Belle runs West Point

  • @FoothillsofWyoming STOP MAKING RETARDED COMMENTS!

  • @WPUSMA1 stop giving in to celebrities and making stupid decisions.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming ITS NOT WORTH ARGUING WITH A DUMBASS LIKE YOURSELF!

  • @WPUSMA1 you guys kiss the asses of celebrities but speak to fellow vets like that...aren't you supposed to have an honor code? Or are you even a vet,war vet? Have you even worn a uniform for your Country. Justice for Cadet Richard King

  • @FoothillsofWyoming READ YOUR COMMENT AND THINK ABOUT IT! NOW WILL YOU STOP COMMENTING, GO GET A LIFE!

  • @WPUSMA1 Shut up poolie and YOU go get a life. West Point is now teaching the cadets to call people retards and dumbasses...what an honor code. Justice for Cadet Richard King.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming I NEVER ACTED ANYTHING, BUT YOU'RE THE ONE WHOSE ACTING LIKE AN IMMATURE IDIOT! HAVE YOU GRAUDATED FROM WEST POINT, WHAT DO YOU KNOW WEST POINT. SO FAR I'VE HELPED ABOUT 10 PEOPLE WITH THEIR ADMISSIONS. WHO DID YOU HELP WITH THEIR WEST POINT ADMISSIONS, INSTEAD YOU HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST PAIN IN THE ASS. YOU SAY YOU'VE SERVED IN VIETNAM, YOU MUST BE ATLEAST 60! I HEARD ITS BAD FOR OLD PEOPLE TO FUCKING ANNOYING! SO KINDLY FUCK OFF!

  • @WPUSMA1 Yep, you are Army officer material. No respect for the enlisted man and willing to scarfice the noncom and troop for your greater glory. So when you see a disabled vet what do you do ...kick his legs from underneath him. I pray you don't lead troops into combat. If you are the quality of cadet West Point is accepting then our military has lost it's glory. Check Richard King vs Patti LaBelle. I am almost 61 years old and served before you were even born.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF MY CASE, YOU'RE THE ONE WHOSE DEGRADING WEST POINT! I'VE SEEN RICHARD KING VS. PATTI LABELLE, WHAT IS YOUR POINT, CADET RICHARD KING BROKE THE HONOR CODE AND AS A RESULT HE GOT SEPERATED FROM THE ACADEMY! NOW ITS ONLY BECAUSE OF YOUR AGE, I'M NOT BLOWING IT, OLD MAN!

  • @WPUSMA1 Hey,young punk,West Point doesn't need a 17 year old puke to help with paper work. If you really knew anything you'd know that you are supposed to be an officer and a gentleman. West Point degraded themselves in the 70's. You don't think West Point would throw you under the bus if it benefitted them? So none of us that came before you mean nothing? All old Vets are just "old people" in your eyes? So you have no respect for the guys fighting in Affie or Iraq right now,you are immature.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming HOW DID WEST POINT DEGRADE THEMSELVES IN THE 1970'S! NOT ALL OLD PEOPLE IRRITATE ME, JUST THE DUMB ONES LIKE YOU! YOU FOUGHT IN VIETNAM, YOU SERVED YOUR COUNTRY, AND NOW THAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO DEGRADE THE UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY! OH I AM NOT A PUNK, I HAVE DISCIPLINE, BUT I AM LOSING MY TEMPER BECAUSE OF YOU! I HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR OUR NATIONS SOLDIERS, NOT OLD FARTS WHO DEGRADE WEST POINT ON YOUTUBE! WEST POINT IS MY DREAM COLLEGE, DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT!

  • @WPUSMA1 lol,Junior,no one is scared of an angry child. Yes ,you are a punk. I caught you in a lie,West Point doesn't use 17 year olds to help with the paper work. Your writing skills are lacking and if WP saw this exchange they'd be shocked. A candidate should know how to act in public. Cadet King was beat up by thugs. WP accepted substandard candidates during the Vietnam era/70s. Why don't you do your own research. I maybe an old fart but I've proven myself in time of war...have you?

  • @FoothillsofWyoming Well senior, I am not an angry child, just angry. Why because of your stupid responses! When did I ever say that West Point used 17 year olds to help with their paperwork, I just made a group for people interested in West Point. Now let me guess you're Richard King's lawyer, you have all the evidence right. The entire military accepted pretty much anyone during the Vietnam War, you fucking idiot! Why do you care about my West Point admissions?

  • @FoothillsofWyoming I will prove myself in war, when I get older! Yes a candidate should know how to act in public, I am sure the West Point admissions committee is going to check my youtube comments! You keep criticising me of now becoming a good soldier, let me learn from you, what did you accomplish in war. I don't care what kind of candidates were accepted in the 1970's, I only care about my acceptance. I really have way better things to do, than to argue with an old idiot like yourself!

  • @WPUSMA1 I led men and killed. Some of the men I led were your age and much more mature. You claimed to have helped over 10 candidates with their paperwork at the age of 17. You are untried as a leader and under fire. So what do you do on Memorial Day go to Arlington and piss on the graves.Veteran's Day do you go to the VA and and call the disabled Vet's retards, old man?Cadet King is serving his duty in the USArmy as a Private, you have a loud mouth. No I am not a lawyer nor do I know Pvt.King

  • @FoothillsofWyoming I don't know anything about the case about Private King, so I won't get involved. I have the utmost respect towards anyone who served in the United States Armed Forces, I proudly address them as Sir or Ma'am. But I don't have respect for anyone who degrades the United States or West Point! You I have a problem with, because you criticized West Point. I never made a big deal of helping over 10 candidates, you're one who critcizes me for wanting to go to West Point! So fuck off

  • @WPUSMA1 don't you read your own post? Of course you said you knew about the case of PVT/Cadet King. You have devalued the lives of over 50,000 dead of Vietnam, so all of those lives were just "anybodies?" Yeah, I and others said something about WP because they deserved it and we earned the right. Gentlemen do not tell others to "fuck off." You lack respect.

  • @FoothillsofWyoming You have devalued over 60,000 men and women who graduated from the United States Military Academy! So you don't have any room to talk! If you are more mature and respectful, then you would fuck off!

  • West Point is definitely the factory of the world's best leaders. I'm dedicated in pursuing cadetship and if I get into West Point, God willing, I'll be the happiest man on earth. I've been inspired by the long line of leaders that come from the "Long Gray Line" to take part in their duties on serve this great country as a commissioned officer in the United States Army. Two of my friends recently graduated and 5 more finished their plebe year. It's only a matter of time until my it's my turn.

  • la mejor academia militar queda en argentina el C.M.N. EL COLEGIO MILITAR DE LA NACION. VALOR ,,,ORDEN...GLORIA.
