  • Thank for the slow motion shots! Call me prejudiced, but crochet is downright beautiful in slowmo. Very nice variation of the solid granny square. I'll have to give it a whirl soon.

  • @mamabear10 I am thrilled you like the slow motion, thank you.

  • I like to learn how to make a doily with pineapple. Do you think you will be able to make one ? Love the way you make your videos so easy to comprehend. Thanks in advance.

  • when i made the sunrise granny square someone told me it wasnt a granny square and that i should double crochet 3 times and then chain 2 then double crochet 3 more times in the corner does that mean i done the square wrong

  • Please slow down hard to follow sometimes.

  • @mbertolo1980 I do slow down a lot more in current tutorials.

  • did you have a video on whip stiching a flower on granny square

  • hi teresa... this is rashmi from india... i love ur tutorials...thanks for posting them ... i have been trying to learn to crochet for years now ... but ur tutorials have made it a thousand times easier for me ....

  • @rashmihalasangi Hello Rashmi, I hope you are doing well in India! I wish you much continued success with crochet.

  • Thanks a lot!!!!!!!

  • @96Tiara You are welcome!

  • @tjw1963 first of all,Great video I am going to try that soon.

But is there a way to expand the square so you can put it on a chair to make it warmer ?

  • @mobradovic00 You can continue to work rounds of double crochet to make it larger or you can make several squares and sew them together.

  • @tjw1963 My grandma did that :)

    Thanks for the advice!

By the way,I'm a guy and I crochet. My friends think it's weird but I enjoy it...

    What do you think?

  • @mobradovic00 20-25% of the viewers on my videos are male so there are quite a few men that crochet. It is normal for men to crochet and take an interest in it.

  • teresa.. i need help.. i am doing granny square ..color white, purple, ligh brown and use chocolate brown to sew it .. would this work?

  • @TYAZER123 ur an ass. how bored are u to be critiquing a friggin' crochet video? learn to spell since you have so much damn free time. idiot.

  • hey ..Teresa...can we do with thread ...I mean to say without the wool....can it be possible

  • @sakinaburhan Yes, you can work this up with thread. The square will be a lot smaller

  • I should be doing stuff too but get HOOKED! watching your videos. I save them to favorites so I can go back. I just made a beautiful bow scarf using your stitch instructions. Thanks so much.

  • Hi teresa, I hope you're well....what's granny square used for?

  • @Bufurzone It is used for making a blanket or embellishing.

  • @tjw1963 Got it,thanks!

  • Teresa, could you message me and help me understand why my Granny squares keeping turning out as granny circles instead ??

  • i really like this granny square I going to try it on another afghan that i make it will be very pretty

  • You may be missing some increase stitches in the corners.

  • I made two crochet granny squares and then fixed them together like a purse with an extra Strip and a loop for the top and I used the combination of green and yellow

  • Can yoy show how to make a CALLA LILY FLOWER please?THANK U :)

  • do you think you can make a video with granny squares on purses ?? :))

  • i love it, ill try it

  • this is getting out of hand. I really have studying to do....but here I am watching your videos....I cant wait to try this one. I only knew how to make traditional granny squares, but all those holes make th blankets more drafty than I like ...this is what I need to do.

  • The videos will still be here when you are done studying. I went to college back in 2001 as a non traditional student so I understand the limited time. I sent you a playlist with a lot of granny squares to choose from.

  • I wish to make this as a continous squre could you give some pointers

  • Instead of joining, you will crochet right in to the top of the stitch that you would be joining with. Continue crocheting and increasing from there.

  • Hi tjw, I'm wondering in a ripple afghan, are the 2dc in 2st, are they supposed to be lined up all the way down the blanket? I mean are they supposed to be on top of each other all the way down?

  • The increases and decreases should be aligned with each other or it will not look right.

  • hi thanks for alla the videos your great at crocheting but do you have any videos where you show how to crochet a bathing suit

    thanks

  • I have a bikini top if that is something you are interested in.

  • yes i think that might work for me

but wat about the bottom part

  • what is the point of joing in the round?

when should i do it and when should i not

  • When you want all your colors and shapes to be the same, you will join. Some crochet pieces can be thought of as a kaleidoscope. If you don't join, your colors and shapes will be off. Hats are a different story. When you are working with 1 color on a hat, you can work in a continual round. I make a lot of lace. You join the round when making lace. Most rounds are joined.

  • u noe how u chain 2 to go through the corners?

what happens if u only chain 1 or none in that part

  • Sometimes the squares will still work if you miss a chain. The purpose of adding extra fullness in the corners of a square is so it will lay flat.

  • Teresa,

I have heard of "never ending" granny square where you keep going crocheting one granny square until you reach your desired blanket length. Could I do this with this pattern?

    Thanks so much...

  • You could give it a try.

  • for some reason, I am not getting the same finished product as you after the second round...I'm giving this a third go around..and maybe it will improve.

  • Keep practicing and it will eventually make sense.

  • That's beautiful! I'm inspired! :-) Thanks for posting these tutorials. I tried to learn to crochet for years without any luck but you've made it so easy! Thank you! :-)

  • You are welcome. :)

  • I will send you the link.

  • This is really a beautiful motif, are you using wool or thick cotton? Looks like good quality.

  • Thank you, I am using acrylic yarn.

  • wonderful..
