i havent heard his new songs except a few but they didnt have any music and only a few lyrics...his oldies are his best work I believe..they were "heartful" if such a word exists

I love Dawud so much. This nasheed made me cry. I've never yearned like this nasheed made me yearn, to be a true Muslim, to actually spend every second of my life for Islam. I think all his songs have immense meaning, but I wish with all my heart and soul that he would stop using musical instruments again. I feel so sad to have to miss almost all his latest songs cause they're sung to the guitar or piano.

narrated by Abu Malik al Ashari:

The messenger (S) said some people of my ummah will drink wine, calling it by other then its real name, merriment will be made for them by the playing of musical instruments and the singing of lady singers. Allah will cleave the earth under them and turn others into minkeys and swines.

this hadith can be found in Ibn Majah, volume 5, hadith no 4020.

remember that this doesn't make me like Dawud any less. May Allah grant him jannah for his work for Islam.
