  • i dont believe his team had any ubers, the ubers are groudon, kyogre, rayquaza, mewtwo, lugia, ho-oh,dialga, palkia, giritina and special event legendaries.

  • @anthonylogan123 This as not the only match Iplayed that day. It was more of a description for that day's battles, I suppose.

  • @Overhazard ah ok bro makes sense.

  • icefang would of destoryed dragonite; dragon/flying = ice attacks does x4 dmg

  • Using explosion depends on how you value a draw. If some people value anything apart from a win as bad, then they don't use explosion. If people value not losing, they lose explosion. Overhazard didn't want a loss so she took the draw.

  • @CrushingHydro Well, she did use ice beam against a Magmortar once, but deleted the video after i commented....

  • @CrushingHydro

    "could have"

what are the chances of that?

and overhazard probably didnt know that

  • Well done!

    All shiny pokemon tsz!

  • it would have been better is Steelix attacked dragonite with ice fang then it would have done an Explosio Against Magmortar....

  • @duaybabybooms There's a chance that Dragonite would survive and wreak havoc with Steelix (most likely through Earthquake). Ice Fang is really just there for Flying Pokémon.

  • @Overhazard i do agree with duaybabybooms you should have used ice fang, with dragonite it would have been 4X because he is flying and dragon

  • @duaybabybooms ur right overhzazrd doesnt know dragon adn flying types would fail agaisnt ice

she used it against fire once

  • explosion is a cowardly move only for those afraid to lose

  • @vizardvolroc Explosion is a move used a lot in competitive battling. Few people would say it's a cowardly move.

  • @Overhazard have you ever noticed how most of those competitive battlers are absolute cry babies when they lose?

  • @vizardvolroc And how does being afraid to lose make them crybabies?

If anything, a move that knocks out one (or two) of your own Pokémon would be a risk that someone who's afraid to lose would not take.

  • @Overhazard its afraid to lose, its how they act when they lose

they use it so they can take a pokemon they know they will lose to, so they wont lose

  • @vizardvolroc And what is the alternative then? It is still more effective than letting your Pokémon get knocked out in vain.

  • @Overhazard switch out,& fight, i prefer not to let my pokemon get knocked out at all, let alone by its self, thats like gettin bitch slapped by twins

  • @vizardvolroc Oftentimes, switching out is highly detrimental, since your opponent gets a free turn to attack or to set up, the latter of which is frequently even more dangerous. For instance, letting a Gyarados do one extra Dragon Dance is pretty much doom for anything not a physical wall.

Pokémon battling strategy relies on management of resources. If you're not willing to sacrifice any of your Pokémon, they'll wind up falling like dominoes. I've faced opponents like these and creamed them.

  • @Overhazard i agree, especially with gyrados uggg that this should be uber lol

but some of the most overlooked pokemon in my teams tend to be the best walls ive got ^_^ we have different strategies ^_^

  • @vizardvolroc Nah, as long as you don't let Gyarados do Dragon Dance, it's no threat.

If you play more defensively, I can see why you have such a dim view on moves like Explosion. I play more...confusingly. I always make sure my opponent can never tell what I'm doing next. I'll use any move in the game except Double Team. That move...I can't really find a good and consistent use for it.

  • @Overhazard true.

actually im rather random, my leafeon is my main physical wall, it would stand up to a garchomp knock it out, then survive 2hits from a rhyperior before it finally went down im very proud of it lol

i use anythin except moves that need to charge,or recharge those i cant really use well ^^"

  • @vizardvolroc Well, it seems you play in a style that revolves around your Pokémon taking a number of hits. That, to me, is defensive play. (Nothing wrong with that, of course. Just me categorizing things.)

Most of my Pokémon go down in one or two hits unless I design them specifically to be walls. So you can hopefully see why Explosion is no big deal to me. (Or SelfDestruct, Destiny Bond, Memento, Grudge, or Perish Song.)

  • @Overhazard e i guess, but most of my pkemon are meant for speed& hitting hard, usually before the opponent can set up lol

i see mate ^_^ id love to battle you sometime, youd probably be a hell of a challenge XD

  • Man it would have been awesome if he had used shiny Dragonite, shiny Rampardos and shiny Latias! Still a cool battle!

  • I never "can believe" that grumpig is psychic. I always think that he's normal type XD Maybe because he reminds me of miltank.

  • is tha game good i wana get tha game and monsters vs aliens

  • what level do u start ev training overhazard?

  • how do you get a shiny lucario

  • With a lot of luck.

  • Or Hacking.

  • @Overhazard or with action replay :P

  • you are a very good crawdaunt trainer

  • Possibly a hacker...

  • i think that to

  • Wow, either your opponent is a hacker or he is very lucky. That are quite some shinies.

  • Very clever use of endure.

  • how come steelix only has 1 eye?

  • In PBR, Steelix's eyes are reflective. The lighting is dim in Gateway Colosseum, making it hard to see Steelix's eyes. If you see one in a brightly lit arena, like Main Street or Sunny Park, you can see Steelix's eyes clearly.

  • um thanx i guess

  • It's preddy cool!!

    I think i will buy a Wii...

  • OverHazard, what is the difference between legendaries and Uber?

  • A Legendary is a one-of-a-kind Pokémon found in a special area (or not found at all). They have legends in Pokémon mythology around them, hence their name. Legendary Pokémon are assigned this title by the game designers.

An Uber, on the other hand, is a term created by people who play the game. An Uber is any Pokémon who has an unfair advantage over all other Pokémon. Most Ubers are Legendary, but only about 45% of Legendaries are Uber.

  • Overhazard:

Are you willing to battle me sometime? (PBR)

I'll dive you the friend code when you decide to. If not, that's okay.

  • Overhazard never responds to battle requests directly on videos.

You have send a private message. :D

  • the oppenent looked like a hacker with all those shinys

  • Yeah...Problably considering how many people hack and cheat now a days...

  • i need help: what would be a good move set for weavile? Please ansver soon!

  • Here:

    Brick Break/Dig

    Night Slash

Ice Punch (if avaliable), if not, then Ice Shard

    Aerial Ace

    Item: Muscle Band/Life Orb

    Hope this helped.

  • Oh yeah, btw, this is to happywazaa.

    Like the name!!

  • thanks =)

  • thank u soooo much! its been very hard to figure out anythin very good for weavile

  • Your nery welcome. Man, it feels good to help someone! Also, may I suggest Dig over Brick Break for two reasons:

    Dig has 5 more power

Dig takes care fire and rock types, whereas Brick Break only takes care of rock types.

  • wait doesnt it take care of steel also?

  • Oh yeah... I guess I forgot. But then again, the downside of dig is that it lets you opponent switch.

  • If you're feeling adventurous, try this.

    Weavile, Adamant @ Focus Sash

Night Slash/Fake Out/ Ice Shard (or Ice Punch)/Counter.

Fake Out your opponent when you switch in.

Ice Shard or Ice Punch are necessary for dragons, especially Garchomp who may be Scarfed.

If you know your opponent is a Physical attacker that you can't kill with any of your attacks and Focus sash hasnt activated yet, use Counter.

The fourth slot is a pick between Brick Break (covers weaknesses) and Night Slash (for STAB)

  • happywazaa:

Do you play pokemon?? It might be dun to challenge you sometime!!! DS or Wii.

    Please respond!

  • :o what a great battle just a thing

why not using ice fang oon dragonite?

  • As you can see, Steelix couldn't take another hit. Might as well use Explosion, which would do more damage, since Steelix was going to get knocked out anyway.

  • Ice fang would have done less damage? but dragonite is 4* weak to ice, isn't it?

btw: i do apologize for my bad english, languages can get very difficult if they aren't your born language.

  • Ice Fang's power is 65. Multiplied by 4, that makes 260.

Explosion's power only says 250, but it actually does double that, since the Defense of the target gets cut in half. That technically makes it 500.

  • nice battle even when uhave no armor and only a Net Sling against those gladiators lol

  • The opponent had lots of cool shinies... but the Shiny Enemy could not beat the Underused's Might!

    Keep up teh battles!

  • I think you should teach grumpig focus blast, thunder wave, charge beam, or amnesia instead of torment.

  • are you ever going to play your old account again?

  • im doing a survey on how old people play pokemon please reply

  • ogre great, i have to get a manaphy at toys r us :/

  • lol a lil grumpig won ^^ pwned

  • was this in the U.s or the U.k?

  • It was North America. I think it happened in Canada too. I know you guys in the UK and the rest of Europe very rarely get events though.

  • yep :(

  • Great battle mate - it's sweet to see the Overused get smashed ^_^ And we English did get an aura Mew event recently at Toys R Us. I got my Mew there =3

  • True That. And I got an Aura Mew from GTS ^_^

  • Birth Island

  • I got my Manaphy from Toys R Us. =D It's cool. Friend had already given me a Phione a month before the event though, and oddly I use it the same exact way you do. Probably not trained the same way, but it's moves are exact.

  • It wasn't cool on Friday. I tried a double battle using the very little amount of trained pokemon I had (I wanted to specialize in grass types, but it was too hard to use them alone). In my battle, I used Jolteon, Pachirisu, Abomasnow and Glaceon against Palkia, Dialga, Rayquaza and Giratina. I wound up winning using a combo of Hail/Blizzard/Mirror Coat (since my Glaceon is extremely defensive) and Rain Dance/Thunder/Discharge (since Jolteon has Volt Absorb).

  • Know what happened to me once in Battle Factory in Emerald? I was using this Snorlax and my opponent was using a Kangaskhan, which had got a speed boost from Salac Berry. My Snorlax outsped it and KOed it with Mega Kick. I still have no idea how that happened. The Kangaskhan had attacked before the Snorlax on every turn and suddenly, I outspeed it.

  • Do you suppose it was going to use Counter that turn? Computer players tend to use Counter and Mirror Coat at the weirdest times.

  • Well, maybe. At least it knew Endure and Reversal, the rest I didn't get to see.

  • I like having the underdog team.

  • I think how far one sees nonrenewable stuff as nonrenewable differs from person to person. While I will never hack, because I think it ruins everything, I wouldn't hesitate a second to use the GTS cloning glitch to get another Trick Room TM.

  • That's too risky for me. And for some reason, I can't bring my DS online the same way as the Wii, so I'd have to trek to a McDonald's to do that.

I wouldn't mind receiving cloned or hacked items, however.

  • Sadly, the GTS cloning glitch has been fixed according to what I read in Bulbapedia.

  • Subscribed. Yes, Im the same Dialkia of Serebii./

  • Dang. I was hoping that my previous reply would've linked to Overhazard's reply about her planning on raising a Trick Room team, but I guess that it doesn't.

Anyway, I wonder why your Steelix used Explosion on Dragonite instead of Ice Fang? Explosion could've been saved for a fight that you'd know that Steelix wouldn't be able to win.

  • I want to make use of Trick Room. I do; I'm just very very stingy when it comes to using nonrenewable TMs because I have no way to clone or hack for more.

I used Explosion on Dragonite because Fire Fang already took away about 55% of Steelix's HP. Steelix couldn't stand another hit. If Dragonite's Defense is high enough or if it's holding a Yache Berry, things would have gotten very ugly.

  • i got my manaphy from my m8 at school. i was soo happy cause i missed the event

  • I rarely see Lucarios. They may be hard to train for impatient people, or just hard to find.

    I-I...I want a shiny Lucario!

  • I'd like one too. They're among the rarest of shinies.

  • This guy has all shinies? Either he's a hacker, or he has no life.

  • i don't like using legendaries. it takes the fun out of it all.

  • Why didn't Steelix use Ice Fang, it wasn't powerful enough?

  • He could used an yache berry. So blowed the thing up instead of be killed of an dragon dancer.

  • I got my manphy!!

  • just to make sure, magic coat reflects moves back to the opponent like hypnosis, toxic, etc?

  • Yes, Magic Coat reflects attacks that don't do damage but do something bad to you. Hypnosis and Toxic are part of the list, and so are Leech Seed, Swagger, Flatter, Screech, Will-O-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Captivate, Charm, Scary Face, Confuse Ray, Spore, Fake Tears, and Worry Seed.

  • Wait, I thought Magic Coat was basically the special version of Coutner. You know, it only reflects things like Thunderbolt or Flamethrower as compared to Thunderpunch or Firepunch.

  • No, you're thinking of Mirror Coat.

  • Oh. Thanks, I forgot about Magic coat and just through it was Mirror, heh.

  • i got my manaphy like ten minutes before the event was over i am so happy!!1:)

  • Nice match. When I first saw your team, I thought it was a Trick Room team, but the way you EV train their speed is amazing.

  • I only get two TMs for Trick Room. Before I use one of them, I'd better make sure I don't limit my options too drastically. I'll likely make a Trick Room team in the near future...you'll just have to see what other surprises it'll have.

  • Well, good luck with that. I believe that a Smeargle that knows Trick Room would come in handy in terms of helping you breed Pokemon that know the move from the start.

  • I was shocked Grumpig outran Lucario, something wasn't right about a team of shinies

  • I wouldn't be surprised if that's the same guy I battled who "apparently met" their shiny Lucario in the Snowpoint Temple.

  • You can hatch them at strange places though. If any of you can get my Friend Pass for this team, be sure to see where I hatch them. Crawdaunt was hatched in the Canalave Library, for instance, and Grumpig comes from "Cafe," the Moo Moo Milk place.

  • I saw the summary, and it said "Apparently met". If it came from an Egg, it would say that it came from Riley or the Daycare Couple, and that was "Apparently hatched".

  • Yeah, I know of that. I just wanted a place to tell that I hatched these guys in strange places.

  • great battle, ur crawdaunt has proven itself to probbly be the best one on ur team cuz u alwayz pick it fist n it alwayz does its job right:)

  • i wonder what would happened if you used ice fang instead of explosion on dragonite.

  • Dragonite might've been holding a Yache berry. :3

  • another team full of shiny pokemon.

  • Heh, I didn't even notice they were shiny until you pointed it out. Something definitely felt weird about them though.

  • I live in Europe...

Luckily someone gave me a manaphy egg over online trading!
