Not only were there at least six lead singers for The Drifters, there were two distinct groups called The Drifters. Save The Last Dance For Me was recorded by the second group and featured Ben E. King as the lead vocalist. However, the lead singer of this version does not sound at all like Ben E. King, and also does not sound like the original version I remember.
