@CrimsonOkami Okay, I might have been a tad high strung that day. That being said, salt does not generally make one fat. It can, when taken in excessive amounts,cause hypertension and lead to edema in certain people. Salt in and of itself is not fattening and is very beneficial to the body. Just a thought, as a fellow American, I occasionally enjoy salt on a piece of pizza and sometimes pepper as well. I am glad to see that you do not. Choices are pretty sweet aren't they. @Tonylyn2531 I'll be honest. I still think it's strange to want to put salt on pizza. I mean, jeez, that must be some really bland pizza., lol, but to each his own.

I did know that salt doesn't cause fatness per se, but most people in the US, including me, probably still consume way too much of it. And a lot of salt can be found in foods which are full of saturated fat. So they do have a tendency to go hand in hand.

that's actually scary to me... i was on these meds once where i got this horrible, nagging fear of slamming my hand in a door or somehow getting it mangled in the garbage disposal. Don't ask how - just a brain chemistry side-effect, i guess. But it was an unbelievable fear - i worried i might sleepwalk and stick my hand in the disposal even. I made my parents disconnect it until i got off the meds. Then, the fear went away.
