  • an honestly beautiful movie.

  • 0:31

  • I enjoyed the film. I'm not usually one for romance movies but I'm reading up on Keats at the moment so I thought I'd give it a go. Brilliant acting from Abbie Cornish, especially when she breaks down after hearing of Keats' death. I thought reading the poem out at the end with the music in the background was a bad idea though. It just didn't seem right.

  • this is my new fav film, its brilliant and so sad :'( love it

  • bens looks + johns personality and poetry = perfect guy <3

  • @dezi9674

well you will never get that.

  • Please! Does anyone know what song it is that starts at 1:50?

  • well that's fucking great iwatch this to see wether it is worth watching and within the first 30 seconds of this clip she lets slip that he dies at 25,great thanks a lot ;)

  • @saffronanastasia uhh keats is one of the most famous and beloved poets that ever lived. That fact that he died young isn't a spoiler that gives away the movie it's a historical fact.... just sayin'

  • @funkychicken5192 well "just sayin' " the reason people watch fims about famous people is to find about their lives so not every person has gone out and researched him before watching. AND this is a film not a documentary, a film with a str doesn't matter if it's true or not you still aren't meant to give away the entire film, considering that there are people who don't know about keats

  • brilliant movies like this are more likely to be seen than than those box office movies which in fact very nonsense. . .

  • wanna see it and buy it

  • This is still one of the best movies in a long time. I'd go so far as to say it's one of the best in the last 20 years. Not to mention it's visually gorgeous. I tell everyone I know to watch it on filmsi.co.cc right now.

  • I watched this today and its now in my top 5 fave movies <3

  • i might be too sensetive right now cuz i cried i lot. does that kind of pure love still exist, is it really possible?

  • @1903sch sadly there isn't many relationships nowadays that act so beautiful and sweet as john did with fanny..there are some, but not alot. it truely is sad. im sensitive to lol...im in love with a boy now actually. been together for about 2 years, no break ups or fights ever...and he even reads some of john keats poems to me :3<3 so im hoping we can be like one of the many few couples that still show pure love existing...this movie was amazing ^^ u should see it if u havent already :3

  • Free Skip button 0:32

  • @fyiimaspy thank u thank u thank u

  • It reminds me: "Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all. Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.".

  • i've never seen a movie so strong in every way.

  • it was ok i give it a 7!

  • Such an idiot that news girl

  • I wanna see this so bad. I wonder if I could find it at Best Buy or something...

  • what is the name of the poem she recites to him at 1:30 ??

  • Please find me the poet or the muse, who I could love so much.

  • What is the music that starts playing at 1:36?

  • This movie is absolutely phenomenal. I just enjoyed it on moovis.co.cc and I think it's happy, sad and campy. Destined for cult classic. Cant wait till it comes out on video/DVD.

  • this looks amazing, definetly watching it :)

  • "every word he wrote inspired the rapture that was first love"??!?!?!?!?! has the overspeaker actually read any of Keats' beautiful work?!?!?!??!

    beautiful film.

  • 0:29 Skip

  • There is a Holiness to the hearts affection you know nothing of that.

  • @keatspoetrylover In the movie the subtitle reads, "Know you nothing of that?" I like the trailer line better.

  • This movie made me cry like a baby! :'( The acting is amazing, the emotion is so heart wrenching, the music, the scenery, the settings...my gosh, I love this movie!

  • this film is so breathtaking and heartwrenching. ben whishaw captured me from the beginning and had me in tears by the end. the power of true love is so amazing and beautiful, even to one who has never really experienced it.

  • love it

  • BIG FLOPPY DICK MOVIE!

  • There is a holiness to the Heart's affections.

  • Bitch ruined it!

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE SONG THAT STARTS AT 1:36 ?? IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL

  • @phishboy93 Clair Voyant by Two Steps From Hell

  • @1819sylvia thank you soooo much!! i've been looking for this songs for so long! :) :) thank you again!

  • @phishboy93 you're welcome :)

  • I only wished we were butterflies and lived but three summer days, three such days with you I could fill with more delight than 50 common years could ever contain.

  • I love this movie, I'm reading the book "So bright and delicate" right now and those are the most amazing letters i've ever read.

  • That 'butterfly' quote was soooo beautiful!

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the or give me a dl link to the dramatic music that starts about 1:50? Many thanks.

  • @enternalharmony its called Clair Voyant by Two steps from hell. :)

  • @onedaytaymar Thanks really much, i think it's a beautiful track! =]

  • @mrslovegame935 Jane Austin?

  • @VirtualRaconteur Yes... I spelled wrong... ;)

  • @mrslovegame935 You mean Jane Austen and nope, it's not quite like her. It's a little more sensitive and less socially centered. But both are brilliant :)

  • Brilliant film!

    i loved it!

I'm taking a literature course and so i was led to watch the movie. I was not disspointed at all.

  • i watched this movie so many times i lost count after 6 and i cried through all times too. I <3 JOHN KEATS!!!!!

  • i hate the fucking girl in the beging WHY does she tell : OH he died !! what a fucking idiot :(

  • @robleszgil well....it's true history. So, it's not really her fault.

  • John Keats began a romantic revolution that inspired the lives of millions. This interpritation of his short life is gripping and deeply romantic. This is a story that I just refuse to forget, it explodes with cinematic beauty.

  • I almost wish we were butterflies,

And live but three summer days

Three such days with you I can fill with more delight

Than fifty common years could ever contain.

  • it looks so beautiful

  • OMG @ 1:04 - it's the guy who plays paul mccartney in Nowhere Boy :D

  • @1nOnlyBeatlemaniac

yes it is. but he is not that good i think. his name is Thomas Sangster.

  • @1nOnlyBeatlemaniac ha good spot that mate

  • what song is on 1:05

  • @delilahroseful it's the background music for when the actor reads "Ode to a Nightingale." It's in the soundtrack and it's called "Ode to a Nightingale." Not sure the soundtrack has the song without the reading though.

  • most beautiful movie. i've watched it 6 times and have cried every time :')

  • it's a great movie..so what if it doesn't do well at the box office? if there is anything i have learned it's that popularity has nothing to do with quality..

  • "When I don't hear from him, it's as if I've died. It's as if the air has been sucked from my lungs."

"I get anxious when I don't see her."

And well, the title is very fitting because Keats' poem

"Bright star, would I were as steadfast as thou art" was inspired by his love for Frances Mary Brawne and I think the poems that are inspired by love are the best ones yet.

People should stop criticizing this movie! It's one of the best movies yet. Who cares if it didn't do well in the Box office!

  • LOL wow I never would have thought myself to be a Romance Buff, but hey I am a sucker for Love stories. I'm also a sucker for TRUE Love stories.

  • This movie is, quite simply, sublime.

  • Paul Schneiders accent.......BAHAHA, WHY not cast a Scot?....Ridiculous

  • whats the song in this trailer that starts a 1:36

  • @MrPinker911 Clair Voyant by Two steps from hell!

  • After watching this movie, I couldn't express how much i loved it. i sat there for about 20 minutes after the credits staring into space. Phenomenal TRUE story. That's what makes it amazing.

  • ben whishaw is soo perfect for this movie, and the movie is brilliiant

  • It is a beautiful, beautiful movie!!! I love it!!!

  • I believe this story is more touching than Romeo & Juliet, watching it was like watching a living painting and hearing all the most talented musicians play. It was one of the most profound experiences I've ever had watching film. Everyone that was in it, or had something to do with conceptualizing it is brilliant in my mind. People will find the movie when they are ready to watch a real romantic movie.

  • I so want to see this movie!!

  • Yes. cotton is also the fabric of the lives of the poor little children who pick it in the hot fields of third world countries.

  • This film is a god send to any literature appreciating person out there, John Keats is a legend!

  • anyone know what the song is at 1:50 ?

  • Love this movie. Thank you.

  • shit trailer for a great movie

  • best and excellent story

  • who gives a damn if it does well at the box offive. this film is brilliant, very beautiful and visual. it has won many awards for cinematography, art direction and director. its done well at cannes and everywhere else- that is proof of its quality not stupid box office takings- thats meaningless. most good films dont make much money and most films that make money are garbage.

  • @iveywebb44 completely agree. In fact most of the movies that rake it in at the box office are not very good in terms of story, there's always the exception but most of them are successful because of the big names attached to them or special effects.

  • @iveywebb44 i agree 100% most of the indie moves are better than that shit that makes millions "the greatest" was amazing and was indie but 'twilight" was shitty and made millions

  • @iveywebb44 Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • who gives a damn what it does at the box office, it is a great film. very beautiful and visual. its won awards for art direction, cinematography and director, did well at cannes etc- that is proof of its quality not stupid box office success. most good films do badly at the box office anyway and so many films that make money are garbage.

  • Is this movie good? It looks so fabulous! I want to see it!

  • 0:22 lol "fanny broad"

  • @a4d2d0

Yeah, it's Fanny Brawne... her name. Wax in your ears, mate?

  • Its great movies like these that fall through the cracks. Period dramas caught the public's eye in terms of Jane Austen because of her notoriety with young women. A poet like the mesmerizing Keats may not have an equal hold of women's hearts. I hope this movie does well but something tells me that it will not make a splash according to profit but will succeed as a blockbuster movie with couples and singles.

  • This movie is a good one.

  • piss off movie seekers

  • I really really really wanna see it

  • Can't wait to see it!

  • superb film. go and see it.

  • i love abie cornish.. she's so beautiful she's something different. everytime i watch a movie.. all e women are either overweight or perfect.. either they look drab, or overly gorgeous... but abie is just like an 18th century beauty

  • why does the dumb bitch at the start tell us the end of the film (where he does) at the start?

  • its based on someones life, so you should know that he dies

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted yeah shes a hot but very stupid bitch

  • @ImSoJohnDeleted are you being serious? you didn't know john keats died?

  • I'm going to the movies with some friends on Sunday and we want to know what movie to see...should it be this?

  • This film look beautiful and lush and I cant wait to see it on friday and rememeber what falling in love is like. Keats was one of the few Great Romantic Poets, I adore his words.

whoa, how come you guys dont like Abbie Cornish? shes a very good actress, you should check her out in "Candy" with Heath leadger

  • love love love this movie just saw it today and then i went and bought a book of all his poems and some of there love letters!

  • I loved seen this trailer,

BUT when is the movie coming to Australia??? I would totally go and see it

I LOVE period pieces, tragic love stories

    etc...

I hope Bright Star comes down under very soon:)

  • It's already showing in Australia. I'm going to watch it tonight. Though it may only showing at select cinemas.

  • Udits11

Can you please tell me where you saw it?

I live in Melbourne and the mainstram cinemas don't have it, Hoyts, Village I even googled independent cinemas but no joy.

    Can you perhaps help?

I would love to see it.

  • a beautiful movie!

  • I just came from seeing this movie a few hours ago, and it is...simply beautiful. Astounding. Powerful. Engrossing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

  • 1:59 "emphasis on the h" fail

  • THIS LOOKS GREAT! Although the female actor bugs me

and the fact that this film is only available in certain theaters, yes unfortunatly not mone, sigh

  • i love movies like this.

  • i'm so going to see this even if i cry through the entire thing! haha it looks so good <3

  • I think the audience will be clearly defined as romance enthusiasts, only because it is SO deliberately a romance. It will likely be somewhat slow, sentimental, tragic, and sad, as so many serious romantic movies are. Unfortunately, many people can't sit through a movie like this, in my experience anyway, I always end up sobbing alone when no one will watch em with me.

  • You could argue the same for any movie genre. People who happily "sit through" romance or period films would most likely be reluctant to go see an action flick, and vice versa. So what? Every movie is made for a certain audience. If you can't find anyone to go with you, go anyway. I did. Better than going with someone who will be bored and ruin this beautiful masterpiece for you.

  • I can't wait to see this. I love period dramas!

John Keats was a great poet and it is very sad that he died so young and never married Fanny, they were engaged when he was on his death bed.

  • you're pathetic to even try to start a fight, why don't you do something better with your time. stop being a troll mk? you're ignored and blocked :)) bye bye

  • Don't comment on stuff you don't like.

  • I agree about the girl she's pissing me off but the storey doesn't look completly boreing to me.

  • @shaibear "story"

  • @ApricotJamIsNice "boring"

  • This movie looks good. It reminds be of Becoming Jane

  • The boy from 1:05 is the voice of Ferb! Like..on Disney channel! XD

  • the boy from 1:05 was in love actually right?

  • omg this is so sad i want to watch it !

  • This trailer kinda reminds me of Pride and Prejudice . . . except the personalities of the male and female seem to be switched (Keats is more like Elizabeth Bennett is what I mean). I'll definitely want to see this movie, because I love when history and love are combined.

  • looks great

  • LOOKS SO GREAT =D

  • yawn.....yawn.....and yawn...!

  • remember me 'pride and prejudice', seems beautiful =}

  • it's beautiful...

  • looks amazing at last another campion film

  • Isn't that guy from The Perfume?

  • @tonks1988 Yes, and from Brideshead Revisited as well. :)

  • wat a worthless movie :P

Honestly..wont even go for the DVD......

  • meh, looks alright. looks like it's gunna make me cry... i dont think it'll be all that popular. An english and history major like myself would enjoy it, but I cannot see it being a hit.

  • @x0meg who cares if it is a hit?

  • Abbie Cornish has changed since I saw her in A Good Year. Interesting though but typically 'Campion-esque' movie.

  • aww it seems cute

  • *cries* sniff this movie sucks... lol

  • lol

  • 1st :]
