in all the korean dramas that i ever seen, the girls are so ... passive. It doesn;t matter if the girl is 15, 25 or 35, she doesnt kiss back. Is this a common behavior in Korea? its improper for a woman to kiss or what? i don't understand.

i'm sorry but i have to say that Korean Kiss and hug scenes are the worst in all of the movies I have seen around the world..//They are the most unromantic and unfeeling I have ever seen and i'm including Cartoons.. I understand they most likely have restrictions in Korea but gimme a break.. I remember the first time i saw the infamous Korean kiss and hug was in "Full House" ,we were pulled thru an emotional great movie, then it came time for the kiss scene and i was like what was that.

No City Hall or Sam Soon?! Kim Sun Ah has some of the best kisses, because unlike most females in dramas she just doesn't let the guy kiss her while she closes her eyes and looks clearly uncomfortable. She actually makes it mutual.

Wow all the old dramas...haha brings back memories... I used to watch these only cus my parents were watching em. Kdramas back then were boring. Until Full House came, Summer scent was not bad too. Now, I'm crazy about dramas. It's amazing how far kdramas has come in terms of both picture and plot. Acting is still as good as ever.

Koreans are not used to watching erotic scenes with the whole family so producers minimize the kissing scenes. so in old kdramas, you'll see just lip-touching.

Something people have to remember is that Koreans (in general! not all) are conservative. Kissing, holding hands, hugging .. anything to show affection is done in privacy. Only in the past few years this has been changing.
