@an4491 Of course. I admit, I was trying to interpret it's meaning by way of the kind of town it plays in here. Sorceress Town here is like a fairy tale with a lot of emphasis on magical beings. So it seems a little odd for it to mean 'there is no God', considering the concept of a deity is extremely fantastical (magical/fantasy-oriented). Figured it would fit better in something like the Barbarian or Necromancer Town, although the musical style does fit here.

Wtf was wrong with my version of Heroes II? Most of the other town music was just in the wrong town (eg. the Warlock music in the Sorceress town and the Necromancer music in the Warlock town) but this track was missing altogether!

Tastes are different. For me, Heroes 2 is even better than Heroes 3. It has a special charme and feeling and the music is much better. I love it the way it is. Even in 2010 :) And I am glad to see that I am not the only one!
@MrArdon25 I think the only thing I don't like about Heroes 2 is that you can't upgrade everything =[ and there's less creatures per alignment. And less creatures overall XD Though I love Heroes 2 to bits, it's the first one I played.

When i firt started playing this i was a mortal kombat fanatic and mocked this game, and in one morning at 04:00 AM i tried to play it,, and played with sorceress and loved the druids,, the music, and fell in love with it!
after II i was more amazed by angels in Homm III
and so on..Heroes of might and magic , for me at least is the most beautifull game in the world!
I remember when I installed the expansion Prince of Loyalty I was disappointed at first because they replaced the old tracks with new ones. But after a while, I found the new songs just as good!! Excellent job by 3DO!!!
Never have I ever experienced better soundtracks in strategy games after that. The makers of King's Bounty should pay attention, since I think their games are most similar to HOMM.

Can never forget that feeling of entering a town and getting soothed by its magical tunes. Just makes you wanna forget about all the fighting and take a stroll in town.
2 archers, 2 flying units, 1 fast, 1 slow, sorc faction was good to play with in homm2 and rampart in homm3 is one of the best factions, even if it had only 1 archer - i think though that rampart is best, folowed by stronghold, fortress and castle, in this order :D
@FearRPG why not? barbarians had good troops, only lack flying troops but in exchange they had all above average, 2 archers, 2 fast, the slowest troop had pretty good speed to.
@FearRPG really? i thought wizard & warlock castles are more costly especially when you're purchasing cloud castle & dragon towers. the same goes when you're buying titan & black dragon.
I barely played this game, mostly having played 3 and 5, but this is a pretty cool track. Well, particularly the vocals, which are superior to the rest of the music. If you listen closely, you will hear part of the Ramparts theme from Homm3 around 1:20 and on.
Love the use of the cello in the Heroes soundtracks :) I play the cello in a quartet and I usually don't have such a great part :( but Heroes gives it such a nice undertone :D
The Sorceress-theme sounds really great. The background music sounds like a mix form celtic and south american folk, and renaissance music, and the singing is just indescribeable.
My favorite game of the series, my favorite song in the game, one word can describe it all, Beauty.
Oh memories!, it's been so long now, ever since my cd broke I was deprived from this magical world.
I wish I could go back in time and lose myself in your beautiful chant, all the magical moments we shared together, it almost feels like it was yesterday.

@SillyLion You now you can get Heroes II on the internet right? GOG.com even sells the gold edition with mods that allow you to play it on a modern OS.
Why deprive yourself from the experience? For 10 bucks each for both Heroes 2 Gold and Heroes 3 Complete you'd be crazy not to get them (the other Heroes games are there as well).

When i firt started playing this i was a mortal kombat fanatic and mocked this game, and in one morning at 04:00 AM i tried to play it,, and played with sorceress and loved the druids,, the music, and fell in love with it!
after II i was more amazed by angels in Homm III
and so on..Heroes of might and magic , for me at least is the most beautifull game in the world!

I remember when I installed the expansion Prince of Loyalty I was disappointed at first because they replaced the old tracks with new ones. But after a while, I found the new songs just as good!! Excellent job by 3DO!!!
Never have I ever experienced better soundtracks in strategy games after that. The makers of King's Bounty should pay attention, since I think their games are most similar to HOMM.

2 archers, 2 flying units, 1 fast, 1 slow, sorc faction was good to play with in homm2 and rampart in homm3 is one of the best factions, even if it had only 1 archer - i think though that rampart is best, folowed by stronghold, fortress and castle, in this order :D

Sorc has the strongest units, but this is the most expensive castle in homm2 ;p
I liked to play barbarian town, but i dont know why ;p

@FearRPG why not? barbarians had good troops, only lack flying troops but in exchange they had all above average, 2 archers, 2 fast, the slowest troop had pretty good speed to.

@FearRPG really? i thought wizard & warlock castles are more costly especially when you're purchasing cloud castle & dragon towers. the same goes when you're buying titan & black dragon.

I barely played this game, mostly having played 3 and 5, but this is a pretty cool track. Well, particularly the vocals, which are superior to the rest of the music. If you listen closely, you will hear part of the Ramparts theme from Homm3 around 1:20 and on.

Love the use of the cello in the Heroes soundtracks :) I play the cello in a quartet and I usually don't have such a great part :( but Heroes gives it such a nice undertone :D

I'm very sure that it's German. At least the pronouncing of the words sounds like it.
I would recommend having your ear very close to one of your speakers, to hear the words properly.

The Sorceress-theme sounds really great. The background music sounds like a mix form celtic and south american folk, and renaissance music, and the singing is just indescribeable.

Why deprive yourself from the experience? For 10 bucks each for both Heroes 2 Gold and Heroes 3 Complete you'd be crazy not to get them (the other Heroes games are there as well).
