  • @m12ap And so does "Password Plus".

  • one of the sound effects was off of super password

  • I wish Barry was a little more annoying. I think both he and possibly Peter were Jewish so that explains things.

  • Peter celebrates his correct guesses with a little too much enthusiasm.

  • 2:06...did I just hear the Password Plus "Illegal Clue" sound??? XD

  • I remember this game show...it used to air with SUPER JEOPARDY! Both game shows were like filler programming on Saturday or Sunday night for an hour and then they both went off the air together.

  • Yep, brings back great memories. Merv originally wanted to do this as a series with Peter Tomarken as host, from what I've read.

  • The host talks so fast to fit all the questions into the time segments

  • awesome, havent gotten to see this show since it was on TV. thanks!!

  • this is actually the 3rd episode.

  • how the heck do u know these things hondo?

  • Research. Tons and tons of research. And searching on the trading sites never hurt.

  • It's too bad that not enough stations were interested in this show for syndication it could have worked out great; BTW thank you chrisivision07 for posting this, I was 5 when this aired originally, so many memories.

  • I agree, This would've paired well with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

  • Is this the only show to have an eggcrate minus sign?

  • No. See the 1978-79 version of Jeopardy! for proof.

  • I loved the theme song and format of this show...

  • Thank you so much for putting this up. I always wanted to see this

  • Isn't the sound used on here for the time's up used as the sound for an illegal clue on Super Password??

  • The illegal clue was also used on Password Plus.

  • we got a bord game that was a tv game is called Cluedo

  • im totally 100% naked now hehe R

  • chrisivision07,

I'm sure Griffin did remember Mike Reilly when developing "Crosswords." Reilly's style is very similar to that of Ty Treadway, but I'm sure that Griffin chose Treadway on the basis that he is much younger than Reilly.

  • Probably that and due to the fact that he's had more television experience than Reilly.

  • Treadway was on a soap for a while. I think I heard he was on "One Life to Live". I don't normally watch soaps, but not too long ago I happened to come across an old Donny Osmond "Pyramid" episode. One the one I saw, it was soap week, and Ty was one of the celebrity players.

  • I think this game is brilliant based on the board and it's like the game

  • I agree with you; this show deserved a very long syndication run. In a way, how the players have to guess the words based on clues sort of reminds me of the premise of another brilliant Merv Griffin game show that is currently running ("Crosswords").

  • Well, it would have gone into syndication, but not enough stations wanted to pick it up. If more did, it would have been hosted by Peter Tomarken. He did host the pilot.

  • No what they should of done is added another Contestent and made it an Hour Long and that have once a month a celebrity charty version

  • What they should've done was made it an hour-long show for more time 'cause very clearly, it was RUSHED to the max! They should also have a CGI Pennybags (possibly Shadoe Stevens with the v/o) to read the deeds, announce, etc.; and have a dice girl roll the dice. Maybe @ the beginning the host, dice girl, and Pennybags could have a little chitchat (i.e. Wheel) as well as a getting-to-know the contestants. Again, I'm just throwing ideas out there...

  • Not Shadoe Stevens... Charlie O'Donnell! He was reading the values of the properties anyway.

  • Shadoe has the voice, but Charlie's fine with me too...

  • Charlie O all the way!

  • What about Harvey from Double Dare? HE'S perfect!

  • Maybe, as either announcer of Rich Uncle Pennybags.

  • Both! If he were to join with Marc Summers, it would be a spectacular reunion!

  • Comment removed

  • And a coincidence it is! THIS could be a way to get them reunited! B-) B-)

  • This segment doesen't seem to drag on boringely, it drags on a little too long. It make little time for the BIG MONEY ROUND. These contestants were probably Jeopardy rejects who Merv Griffen thought weren't smart enough for Jeopardy but the new show he was putting together. Anyway I feel that this round could have went faster if it was just one clue in the playoff instead of two or three. So while this first round may be exciting in the begining, it gets to a point of "When's round 2"?

  • Eh, I don't think it's that they needed to change the mechanics as much as they didn't need to explain EVERYTHING happening EVERY TIME it happened. Cutting down the verbosity would have cut two minutes or so from this section (and made it feel more "rapid-fire" and exciting).

  • I'm so excited for kyle's monopoly

  • now menga listen to me. Mike isn't home yet, his house was robbed, and a massive virus has hit his system. So when he gets back don't pressure him into getting monopoly done ok?

  • his computer is dazzle and he's home

so far what part of monopoly you are so far kyle

  • Listen to the K-Man.

  • This waSN't a bad show.

  • Those camera-like flash light thingys used to be so cool in TV shows.

  • The hostess always mentions the position the player is playing in, their name, what they do and where they're from.

  • "Military Gossip" clue was HARD!!!
