If it were the case, Guru ji wouldn't have called "Bhai Gurdas ji's Vaar" a key to Gurbani, there wouldn't be so many rehatnamas which are quoted by all pracharak's alike. If so many miracles can happen inside Golden Temple, God can take care of who presides over Akal takht. Our (sikh's) responsibility is to honour every hukam from akal takht sahib.

After decades of consultation, it has be highlighted that because Dasam Not granth was not written or compiled by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, their is no conclusive evidence that the 3 writings in nitnem should are correct, namely Jaap, Sawayya and Benti Chaupai.

The next day he met his cousin who told him that Guru Gobind singh ji was actually hindu and thus the entire sikhsim is nothing about an army of hindus. And have you forgotten how amrit is prepared - by reciting 5 banis and then the one taking amrit is told to keep that amrit alive by making 5 banis part of their daily routine. Amrit was started by Guru gobind singh ji and nitnem was started after 14yrs? Where's your logic? Logic and reasoning do not lead...

@micromem You have still not lost it completely. If possible, start trusting pracharaks (not people like me who themselves are not sikhs yet) and not just your understanding of things. Listen to maskeen ji, read books by Bhai Randhir singh ji, Bhai veer singh ji and other "learned" sant-sikhs. Try to see things from their point of view just to learn, to "sikh". Do not bask in your self-created glory for you are the one to lose. I'll let other sikhs judge right or wrong and stop discussion here.

@micromem Two - Prof. Darshan Singh has been excommunicated from the panth so he or his words have no locus standi. But just for a second, if you consider his views, he is still an individual and doesn't have the same knowledge/respect as maskeen ji. So sikhs will place higher regard to Maskeen ji and other pracharaks, not an individual.

@micromem Five - Most of the Dasam Granth sahib is translation of hindu mythology. This was done by 10th Guru so knowledge can reach common masses and not kept to themselves by higher caste Brahmins (as you might know, only brahmins had right to knowledge). so it from that point of view - translation of old hindu granths. Guru Granth sahib's teachings are not similar to Hindu religion, so obviously they won't tally with translations in Dasam granth.

@micromem ..if sant ranjit singh had proclaimed himself guru and asked followers to do nitnem of dharnas, I would have stood shoulder by shoulder with you. One who attaches people to himself is not a sant, one who attaches people to guru granth sahib and amrit is a pure sikh. And what will you call one who has attached lakhs to Guru granth sahib? A sant mate, a sant. That's why people call him a sant. I hope you don't mind my language, but get the crux because you are a sikh as well.

From Dasam Granth issue, I'm clear you don't have a nitnem and yet without understanding gurbani, you are hell bent on arguing. Okay I am humbling trying...Gurbani does not tell us to go out and find sants to follow or given that title, Its also says that one who proclaims himself to be one is a fool.
