the differential diceds how much spin there is on each wheel in a turn. a stronger one will lock up and you will slide easier. and u should have the brake bias one away from max rear so instead of the e brake use the brakes.
ur tecnic is easy but that car is not apropiaded ... with that car, drift its hard and much hard with ur tecnic.. i recomended u the NISSAN or te BMW thats cars u can use your tecnic
@adamlahosky1213 keep ur thumb always on and corecting.... and remeber always have your left finger always over the brake. the brake is bery important. and u should play manual
for fastest times you really need to begin to use racing lines.cutting tight to corners, without clipping the walls thus to try and make the sections flow better..avoid running wide on the exit of corners as time is lost in loose gravel..stick as close to where the road is swept.. avoid water hazzards as they can pull the car and loose momentum through the corners..set up for this track i would suggest would soften the suspension.
You strike me as someone that enjoys driving a car sideways. As requested, my setup tip would be to try the Brake bias more towards the rear of the car. This encourages oversteer and a sharp application on the way into a corner will encourage the back of the car to step out, at which time you can then control the slide with a combination of throttle and steering.
i never juze a handbrake on xbox i just go then i do normal brake before the turn and leaving the gass off then i gas full the back wiels spins hard and you make e nice turn
just a good tip wen approaching a hairpin turn (if using Manual Transmission) gear down to 2nd gear while braking, at turn entry give shit, and theres the perfect drift, if u loose speed then gear down to 1st
P.S i use brake and, i use hand/ebrake for about 2 secs on entry
im australian we call it hand brake so yeh giv it a try and get back to me and tell me how it went
This is all well and good but when someone sets the fastest lap time by wall riding and slingshotting there way around the tight hairpin in one of the Battersea tracks that just sucks!
It turns are average. When u want to drift around the corners like u tried to do. U want to maintain a constant speed and not slow down at the end of the turns which u did. U want to make it smooth and stay at the same speed. I find letting go of gas and then tapping brake and then presses gas but pumping it works te best.
Ever try Savage difficulty? One below the hardest, it's pretty challenging and makes the game more fun IMO.
Have you tried a Rear brake bias? I find it helps to lock up the rear wheels like pulling the E-brake and I can swing the tail around alot easier. On Rally courses I try and avoid using a strong diff because the wheels will tend to spin more under acceleration, I'll usually leave it alone and I find it gives me better grip taking off from corners, saving me time. I'll use strong for RallyX
it manages to keep optimal traction when going around corners.
how?
when going through a corner the car will bend to the outer direction of the corner because of the centrifugal force. that's why there will be much weight on the outer wheel but on the inner wheel less. that will cause wheelspin on the inner wheel which means that the engine power is not used perfectly.
If the Differential is stiff, all driven wheels will turn at the same speed with the same torque. This gives more traction but u lose the ability to turn easily, especially under acceleration. A loose diff does the opposite, it allows all wheels 2 turn at different speeds therefore allowing the car 2 turn more easily, but when power is applied, if 1 or more wheels is off the ground, they will spin very quickly and the 2 wheels left on the ground will receive less power! hope this helps :)
also when you did that replay at 6:17 you slid out of it at the end and didnt stay on the inside. you should try to give the ebreak a little tap or try feathing the gas(which is letting off and getting back on really quick) try it and let me know how it works.
the differential set on strong will give you more traction/acceleration and will give you more overstear. so if you are sliding to far out of the turn put the differential on strong, but if you are coming into the turn and not sliding out put if on soft. it will take away some acceleration put you will make it up in the turns.
when you get to the part right before you start the race where you can set your car up...select a part like the ride hight and hit the a button and hit the a button again and it will tell you what it does when you lower and rise the car. and for corners go as fast as you can on the approach and then slam on the normal break then turn and when you hit your apex(the point in the turn where your car is althe way on the inside of the turn) give it gas. and if your angle is wrong tap the ebreak.
HAHAHA that was a pretty good turn? no it wasnt at all you lost a lot of speed, tap the brake(not the e-brake) then turn in then full power its a LOT faster!

Yes the diff is for handling but i reccomend loose for short curcuits and tight but not too tight for trailblazers

Differential Strong= Makes the engine spin the wheels more,
If you put strong you get long burnouts, if you put loose you will get less burnout but easier to make turns without worrying about oversteer

what is a limited slip differential?
it manages to keep optimal traction when going around corners.
how?
when going through a corner the car will bend to the outer direction of the corner because of the centrifugal force. that's why there will be much weight on the outer wheel but on the inner wheel less. that will cause wheelspin on the inner wheel which means that the engine power is not used perfectly.
This is prevented by the differential.
