Speaking from a purely "appropriate for children" perspective, there is nothing about the lyrics that is really that bad. Death is something that everyone has to face, and we usually learn about it at a very young age anyway. As a controversy, I think it's ridiculous. We should not have our children growing up to fear other cultures and religions. And since LBP is a game so clearly focused on multiculturism and open-mindedness, I think it sends the wrong message to have censored MM.
I find it funny that Muslims have the problem with the violent lyrics being in a song, but they are ok with it being in the quran. I am more worried about seeing violent messages in religious dogmatic texts than in songs. Songs aren't supposed to be taken literally...

Extremist muslim follow the fundamentals of Islam, which drives them to kill unbelievers. Therefore, Islam is a more violent religion then others. By the way, the difference between the Bible and the Quran is that the New Testament retcons the Old Testament. Muhammed, however, was a warlord, had sex with a 9 year old, and the more violent parts dominate.

The founder of their religion was muhammed, a warlord, who claimed to speak to God in a cave, who married and boned a 9 year old girl Aisha, who beheaded enemy tribes, and established a religion that would be spread throughout Arabia and Persia through violence. The quran is also the source of an Islamic legal code called Shaira law, which calls for death for people who leave Islam and homosexuals, which cuts off the hands of theives.

If you did, you would be aware of the violent passages of the latter portion of the book, you would also be aware that the peaceful passages that appeared earlier don't count because the quran states that if any contradications appear in the quran, then the latter passages overrides the earlier ones. Don't get me wrong, I hate all religions, but it seems you are under the impression that hating Islam is the same as hating all Muslims
