WTF go fuck yourself kid GH is the best, he made millions off his acting and tv commericals. Nick Darcy is just a person with a temper and somone decied to piss off, anyone who pisses someone else off is asking for it.

  • So... you nasty piece if nasal crust... why then would Hackett condone the arsehole & violent and spoilt brat D'Arcy... go figure prick.. And mind you sour mouth.. go see a Doc.

  • @DigbyCat

watch my mouth your the one trolling on a postive video about GH and you expect nothing? now you have to abuse me to make yourself look not as stupid as before you made that comment.

  • @nasalcrustproductions ... burp!

  • @DigbyCat hey STFU dumb truck!!! Nick Darcy is a whore and u are dumb!

  • @Meowws you are so right Darcy is a wanking whore, and you are smart NOT!

  • why are people discussing EFV and s-curve as if they are two different, mutually exclusive techniques? This very video shows Hackett utilizing the EFV and S-curve together. S-curve is certainly not a joke...go buy a book on swim theory and it will most likely have a discussion on why s-curve can increase efficiency. While a large s sweep isn't necessary, the slight s motion shown here by Hackett is used by many, if not most or all, of the top swimmers: Popov, Thorpe, Phelps...

  • the S-curve is not more effective then the EVF high elbow entry... S-curve means your only using your hand for propulsion. Meanwhile, the EVF allows you to pull using your whole forearm and hand. So, its debatable i guess between the "S" and the "EVF" but, most elite swimmers use "EVF".

  • Help me out...In the EVF how can you still use an inward sweep like Thorpe does? I just cant do it! Does it have to do with body rotation or maybe im pulling too far to the side or idk!

  • I'm still working on the EVF as well... I think its once your elbow is high and anchored, you pull your body past your arm feeling pressure against your forearm and palm/hand. I'm actually not too sure what inward sweep means cuz the hand doesn't go inward under your body but I really don't know. ONce again I need help on it too and I'm still learning how to do it

  • oops that comment by ctcsandiego is me... im in a library and i forgot to log out of some1's account... so

  • Hehe thanks for the quick reply. Here check this vvideo out: How to swim with a higgh elbow catch/EVF. Uploaded by totalimmersionisrael or something. Really helped me out=)Good luck!

  • I agree the S-curve is noob like. Seams like all the college coaches tell their swimmers to do the s-curve, but anyone that knows swimming will tell you that the s-curve is a joke.

  • @lbcitezen hehe nope, our team is ranked 20th in the country and our coaches still use the s-curve, so no, your a noob :)

  • well that elbow up is dificult, i get so tired with that style, but i swim faster

  • race of a lifetime

  • I'm just trying to comprehend the little wriggle motion he does on the way through—so he isn't pushing the same place the whole way.

  • well the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line (and would be the least effective way to pull). by making an s-curve with each hand efficiency is increased.. or so i hear

  • Yep. The s-curve allows the hand to function like a sail or wing. Because it moves sideways through the water, it creates a pressure differential that gives the swimmer something to pull on. This is different to the usual backwards pull motion where the hand functions like an oar.

  • the trick is when he comes out to breath, notice he does a body roll, that help him gain spped just a little..

  • Excellent video , worth a look for all keen swimmers.

  • His outsweep is before the catch, his hand is then in-line with his shoulder before he sweeps inward, not downward, using the forearm for power.

  • very helpful comments!

  • that is relaly good tech. its hard thought, takes so long to perfect and not lose efecentely from you old stroke. Mabie its just that hes a BEAST!

  • I know i get so tired trying it=(

  • wow, u can really see tht he tries 2 get everything out of his stroke. his stroke looks very effective.

  • Excellent!

  • nice high elbow catch.

  • nope i saw Mateusz Sawrymowicz and Przemyslaw Stanczyk in norway swimming 1500freestye and the tok a breath every stroke so breathing has nothing to do with it;)

  • no reathing is very key to swimming, if it didnt make any diference people would take a breath every 1 stroke instead of breath atleast every 2. Also look at the 50 free thoes at the peak of swimming take 1 or 0 breaths on the 50 free, so it does make a diference.

  • grant hackett's just a beast

  • thet look nice....good job

  • Does he keep his index finger open ?

  • Wouldn't bi-lateral breathing be even better technique?

  • good technique!
