Debbie I miss you so. I pray JESUS is hugging you today! Wish I were there with you. I hav been so lost since your passing in Setember 2011. I Love you so!
I thought this was from 1963 -am I mistaken? Even the sound of it is more sixties than seventies. No? I've got 800 playlists that include ones for every year since 1900, so I'm trying to be accurate here. Anybody help me out? chuck
@chkjns Jim recorded this song in March 1963, it was originally released as an album cut on the 1963 "Good N' Country" LP (which was released on the RCA Camden label, not RCA Victor, and received limited distribution), then re-released as an album cut on the 1972 "Missing You" LP, but I'm not sure if it was overdubbed. This version is the one on the "Missing You" LP (which I have), I don't have the "G&C". I thought this was the original background music, not sure.
Another great song by Gentleman Jim...tears come to my eyes listening to this song as I faced this situation (according to the words) in real life. No one can ever sing like him. May his dear soul rest in peace... in heaven, I pray.
