It's so hard to translate their style into the popular sphere and that is what this contest is about. This song is amazing and you could easily sell a record of this kind of music, but I'm not sure you could come up with 12 more songs and have half of them being original songs or original arrangements. I really enjoy Afro Blue and I wish them all the best. I hope that they stick with it and really push to make their style much more fashionable. The world needs to learn to live more simply.

I just wanted to add that this was my first time hearing the song. I looked up the original and starting feeling sick, asking myself, "Is this an actual professional release?!" What Afro Blue put down was so much better than the original and should be released by the group. Flawless!!!

They knew AB had a chance and left to viewer votes (especially after the final two performances), who knows what would've happened? It was clear that AB couldn't do pop, but PTX could. They sent UM to the finals first to cover their tracks by promoting DA's consistency (If UM beat AB 1-on-1 it would've been too fishy). We all know DA & UM didn't stand a chance against Ptx and AB did; thus no finals.

My 8 year old daughter asked me if I would write a post on my blog protesting their losing and talking about Ben. LOL!!! I have to agree. After rewatching some of these performances they should have had it all or at least been in the finals. I do like Pentatonix and I love the Aires. But when it comes to the star power and talent this group is it.

Unfortunately, Ben Folds became the Fall Guy for the Producers decision. He did NOT want to vote off Afro Blue, but his hand was forced. The producers were thinking more about the ratings than they did the real talent. Their logic was "If we put Urban Method in the finals...the rapping/hip hop sound will generate a younger viewing audience" BuZzZ!! Wrong! Never underestimate your audiences intellegence. The final episode's ratings fell slightly because many were upset at Afro blue's absence.

Given the right lead singer (Aka: Michael) the Dartmouth Aires can compete especially if they get everything cleaned up.
