@tig, how old does he look? 50? You must be kidding me. One of my brothers colleagues were part of that team. They went to Ibadan Grammar school together. I was really young back then, but i still remember vividly. I remember Bala Alli who was picked from that school at the age 15.
@emekabaz, who was before Ugbade? which World Cup did Nigeria or any other African country win before the one in China? He has every right to boast about being the captain of a squad that first lifted any cup in the world level for any African country when in comes top soccer.
i wouldnt blame you, u represent the view of those nigerians who often look at things from the peripheral/biased angle. I know you have never done anything for your country before else your comment because if you had then you wont be talking to your heroes this way. Ugbade and co made history for this country. you may even cast aspersion on the likes of yekini, okocha and kanu in the nearest future. it is part of your myopic reasoning. GOD bless the heroes of nigerian football.
Thank you 0518846. 1985 squad paved the way for for the future u17 eaglets. I didnt take them seriously then. Their matches were never televised live then but highlight was 0pm NTA. They were renamed golden eaglets. These guys raised the bar for the future nigeria U17. 1993 & 2007. if the Ndukas(1985)can do. D rest got inspired & started thinking positive. Our U21s are trying. But Ghana have paved the way for their future U20s.
I watch our u17 wiv passion & not the senior boys who v failed.
Nduka and his mate made it possible for ALL the other players you are watching now to have football careers now. They showed Nigerians that it was possible for us to conquer the world. As Bandillero said, you are too young to understand it. So you should actually think a bit deeper before you cast aspersions at a Unique man that Ugbade is!!
Thank . heroiceagles. 1985 squad paved the way for for the future u17 eaglets. I didnt take them seriously then. Their matches were never televised live then but highlight was 10pm NTA. They were renamed golden eaglets. These guys raised the bar for the future nigeria U17. 93 & 07. if the Ndukas(1985)can do. D rest got inspired & started thinking positive. Our U21s are trying. This must be a humourless joke. Most international players go on tohave a great carreer, and here is Nduka expecting the government to shower him with more money. This is a very sad commentary about the state of mind of a man who wants o joy ride. Kanu and co won the same trophy and went ahead to have a great proffessional carreer, so what is Nduka talking about? He should just keep quiet and move on with life. His 15 minutes of fame is over.. just like those before him.. PLEASE.

@emekabaz,
You must have been too young to understand the achievement of these lads. Nduka is not talking about professional career (he had a not so bad spell).
Nduka, you look great. Thanks for your services to Nigeria.
