  • Kentucky is gorgeous!

  • Hi Betty. Do you grow any herbs indoors over the winter season? I haven't tried this yet and would like to. And if so do you have any tips on indoor growing?

  • @TheJuicerDepot I bring my chives indoors and plant them in a pretty flower pot. you can use on them all winter. My biggest fault is in forgetting to keep them well-watered, but , if you keep them watered, they are great. You need to see if you can find some herb plants that don't grow too big; most of them will do well inside your house in appropriate containers.

  • remy at the back ? 4:29

  • @yoonasnsdlove120 Yes, that's the spoiled little dog of the family.

  • Your house is so cool! It's like something from the Sims! Here in Singapore where just about everybody lives in apartments, landed property isn't common at all. Your garden looks great and I hope you have a great day!

  • Betty your home is BEAUTIFUL! and your garden(the one in front of the house) is so amazing. It inspires me to want to keep up with the garden here!!

  • I love your garden updates!

  • Nice house betty

  • very nice gifts.

  • Great vid Betty!!

  • Betty please, you mentioned black spots on the veg leaves. I get that when I plant outside, what are those black spots, insects and their eggs??? that is why I do not like to plant herbs. Yuk, what can I do to get rid of them? please help, thank you, I did the stuffed peppers, awesome, I just added a whole lotta cheese, yum, stay well

  • @doowopshopgal I believe the black spots are fungus. I just cut around them and discard them.

  • Hi betty, do you think you can do a video on how to make caramel apples?

  • @bigheadroxursox I plan to upload "Apple Dippers" tomorrow, which is almost the same. I have some caramel apples from last year that are rolled in nuts.

    --Betty :)

  • @sandyhippe I have a very easy recipe that I will be showing eventually. It may take awhile to get to it. I plan to use cut-outs of fondant for decorating cookies or cupcakes--so that probably would be Thanksgiving or Christmas.

    --Betty :)

  • cute!

  • Hi Betty! Lovely home and grounds you have. Your herb garden looks very well considering how cold it's already getting. It's like that here in AR also. So sweet of the persons who sent you the gifts. I think I need to cut back my roses like that also. I didn't know you could cut them back that low & they survive so I may try it. Mine are the climbing roses but nothing really to climb on unfortunately so are going everywhere. Love your jacket! So pretty on you. Keep warm & God bless! Love, Angie

  • @kokonutbaby1 Good morning, Angie! You are my first comment of the day--a very nice way to start the day! Thanks for your lovely comment. We have cut our roses back like that before, with no ill effects. Thanks for your sweet compliments,

    Love from Kentucky,

    --Betty :)

  • That was so sweet..

  • You should dry your herbs. My mom has a food dehydrator she uses to dry a lot of the herbs we can't use before the cold comes. :)

  • @prettyblissful That's a great idea! I hung the herbs to dry last year, and they came out really well, but I think I need to get a dehydrator!

    --Betty :)

  • i love ur jacket, betty. u have the best style =)

  • @IanzGurrl Thanks so much!

    --Betty :)

  • Will the herbs survive winter?

  • @kucibaba2 They will all die down when a hard frost comes. However, some of them are perennial and will come back next spring.

    --Betty :)

  • Oh I saw you were showing my handmade gift to you! You didn't need to do the advertising thing for me. Next time just tell me what you need I will sew for you! maybe a jewelry roll or travel pouch or cellphone case? BTW still waiting for your video about how you and Rick met at campus!

  • @3838bbla We are still planning the video--just waiting for a really nice day! Thanks again for the great keychain--I love it!

    --Betty :)

  • Where do you live, its beautiful! Im in the dry old desert of AZ

  • @ginasno1 I live in Richmond, Kentucky. It's great here, just a little cold in the winter and a little hot in the summer!

    --Betty :)

  • i want to be your neighbor !

love the herb garden bretty ,, one my favorites thing in bettyskitchen

  • I remember the last website you recomended we all go to ended up a smidge on the naughty side. Can we trust that this website will have a PG rating?

And don't feel bad about the cold weather Betty. Even here in Phoenix we are expecting a high of only 84 degrees so winter is definately upon us.

  • Hi betty you have nice channels can you send me friend request thanks watch my channels Shahzadkayani74 guys thanks

  • your outfit is so cute! and ur house is gorgeous

  • wow, your house is beautiful!!

  • Betty you always warm my heart! You model such beautiful, feminine traits. Even your humility at receiving gifts from strangers, and that the bracelet will always mean something to you. Your sentimentality, your love of home and family, your willingness to share yo ur days with us, and your recipes make me SO wish we were neighbors! You are an inspiration!

  • The dark mulch looks nice againts your plants. I`m sad that winter is coming. I prefer the other three seasons. Have a great weekend, Betty & Rick !

  • betty a bird fountain would look real nin the front yard on the black mulch

  • Your landscaping and herb garden look so nice!

  • Wow I love your white fur coat, it's gorgeous! :D

  • @ClaireGoGoGo Thanks! Just so everyone knows--it's fake fur.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen How often do you water your herbs? And May I ask what the black thing is that covers the ground? I use normal soil for the herbs...Is it wrong? You herbs look beautiful.

  • @macherielle We never water herbs unless it hasn't rained for weeks. The black stuff is mulch (ground tree bark). It helps keep the soil moist so we don't have to water!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Wow, you never water them. I need to buy the mulch stuff too. I think during winter, we aren't supposed to water our plants that much...including herbs...so I will need something to keep the soil moist. Thank you for the reply! You really do a great job taking care of your garden. :)

  • @bettyskitchen It looks really pretty on you :)

  • Wow! you have a very nice house!

  • I love you betty :-)

  • What lovely, thoughtful and meaningful gifts! Something to treasure forever. You really went to town and cleaned up around the house! The herbs are still looking wonderful. We had a frost here in W NYS the other night and everything died :((. On Friday it actually snowed! Very lightly, but it was snow! Barb

  • You have a very lovely home!

  • Thanks for the interesting tour
