  • to much amazingness! My computer's going to explode!

  • I LOVE how kristin watches idina at 3:22. Those are genuine looks of affection? Love? Can I hear CHENZEL?? Lol. But seriously. Beautiful song and people.

  • These two are so amazing. I cry only when I hear these two sing it. They put so much emotion intp their words and their tones and their voices, that at any time you feel like they could just collapse on the stage and start crying! And that's any actors drean. To really connect with the audiance and to have them feel what you feel. And these two do that. Even in just a rehersal. With no make up, no costumes, no stage, just their voices and a piano

  • Such a beautiful song... But I find that only Idina and Kristin create the right vibe and even though the other more recent actresses are great, they aren't the same... I wish I was born before I was so I could have been older at the time they were doing the shows and maybe get the chance to see it live.

  • You know the songs are going to be the heart and soul of the musical.

  • this song and defying gravity are my two favorite songs and im so happy i get to see wicked in feb.!! ive been wanting to see it since 4th grade!! im in 8th now(:

  • watch the last 10 seconds and tell me you didn't cry

  • i love how they sing they are a great pair

  • Yes! They have amazing chemistry together on stage! Ryan Murphy is in a unique position to reunite them on Glee. I hope he finds a way!

  • Idina's so beautiful

  • I wish they would make a movie and not use the actors they want to use and find most of the original cast like these two and use them.

  • I am crying now x

  • I had the CD before I got to see the play, this wasn't one of my favourite songs but as soon as I saw them perform it I was in tears, I love this one so much. BEST PLAY EVER!!

  • When they start whimpering while singing, I freaking lose it.

  • I'm crying.

  • I judge shows by if I can walk away humming the music... this has been one of them. First aw it 7 years ago- tops the list as a fav show

  • 3:56 - 4:06 that was not acting. That was PURE emotion! <3

  • OMG I'm nearly crying. The bit at the end where they hug? Floods.

  • OMG!!! Brings me to tears!!! Idina and Kristin are amazing together!!

  • Goosebumps from head to toe! Idina and Kristin are amazing together, simply perfection <3 I want to see this musical so bad, It's indescribable!

  • FIERCE! Thank you for posting.

  • There should be a movie. Starring these two of course. Or maybe an animated movie with these two as the voices. Kinda Shrek-ish kinda feel. That'd be awesome!

  • We Need A Movie.

  • @lionheartedgirl49 only if it's with Kristin and Idina, I'm sorry but it'd be terrible if it wasn't with them.

  • @margarita141414 I agree completely but I doubt they will ever choose them given their current age :/

  • @lionheartedgirl49 i know, but i honestly think this is meant only for live performances, I LOVE Wicked more than anything, but honestly, I wouldn't watch it if it was a movie.

now, if they somehow got Idina and Kristin, and maybe if Norbert, to come back, I might watch it.

    :)

  • @margarita141414 Agreed. I love defying gravity and NGD and all that.

I honestly cant imagine it as a movie. The ONLY thing I can imagine Wicked in movie form is if they copied the book.

  • @BlazedHearts I know, Wicked just isn't the kind of thing that you make a movie. It's meant for the stage, not TV screen, and I like it that way:)

  • @margarita141414 Exactly. I love musical theatre and in particular how it worked out for the cinematics for wicked.Something like Dreamgirls, Phantom of the Opera are all amazing, but their movie counterparts WORK. Even rent to an extent. Wicked the musical as movie would feel weird. :S

Once again, if they wanted to make a wicked movie, it should be based on the book only.

  • @lionheartedgirl49 i keep checking but so far just in 'development'.. I think they are delaying so they won't have to cast our girls and they better not. because this belongs to K and I.

  • @lionheartedgirl49 Agreed. :D

  • @lionheartedgirl49 Oh wait, there will be one. IMDB.com

  • They seriously need to have Kristen and Idina on Glee at the same time. These two are amazing singers!!!!!

  • this video is the reason I am going to make it in Musical theatre...

  • they need a movie and cast Kristin and Idina

  • is it just me or a lot of musical directors are called stephen?

  • Marc Platt, best quote EVER.

  • What an incredible moment in American Musical Theater. Beautiful!!

  • Aww Cheno's so cute. She's barely taller than the piano!!

  • They're beautiful people with beautiful voices.

  • @Tacosaurus21 if it doesnt have these two in it, it'll be worthless.

  • @ffyfan15 i totally agree!!

  • I WANNA SEE THIS MUSICAL SO BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! ;^;

  • Ohmygosh ready Mariana? <3

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Amazing!!!! :)

  • this is amazing.

  • 53 people can't be changed for good....

  • WOW, the music director is cute! =)

  • When they make the movie Idina and Kristin have to play Galinda and Elphie or it won't be the same.

  • I saw Wicked on B'way with Teal and Katie. They were amazing, but no one can ever be as good as Idina and Kristin. I love them.

  • 4:41 my favorite part

  • Goosebumps every time <3

  • Kristin is so damn cute it hurts. Add her beautiful voice and you have one amazing woman.

  • Awhh this song makes me cryy. :)

  • one of my favourites musical , i really hope they'll make the movie !! because they are some people who can't see the musical live , and thank god there are these beautiful videos on youtube !!!! please make it , so everyone can see it !!!

  • Favorite musical ever!!!! it blows me away every time:)

  • this song inspires me so much to be a force for good in the world; i want to have a good effect on everyone and make the world a better place

  • One of the things i think when listening to this song, is that dorothy is still under the floor?! isnt she? because in the scene before this song, elphaba is yelling at her. Haha! Great song, i just sometimes wonder what dorothy thinks about all this. lol

  • @georgiaherdman2009 yeah and when you watch the wizard of oz after seeing wicked, when it comes to the scene when dorothy is in the dungeon of the witches tower, you think about elphie and glinda singing for good just upstairs!

  • @jasonr1929 Yes!!! Hahahaa!

  • Idina Menzel has the most beautiful voice in the world!! :D x

  • I sang this song at my graduation. I have never met people who have influenced my life more than me classmates. Because I knew them.. I have been changed for good.

  • my. god. love idina's voice :) and would watch a movie if it had idina and kristen in it... :P

  • my. god. love idina's voice :)

  • yes i do

  • They both have such beautiful, clear voices. I love this show

  • I love how the music makes people reach out to one another, and the way Idina and Kristin just look so comfortable with one another :')

  • I don't know how Idina and Kristin could've sang this song without bursting out in tears...

  • I like this song, not only because of its sound. But because it tells us that we are not perfect. That no matter how some people would treat us badly, there are still some that will make a difference. And it's really important that we surround ourselves with good people. If we go with people who make us worst instead of making us the best of who we are, then we really shouldn't be hanging out with them. The world is different now, everyone needs someone who can help them to cure their pain.

  • 53 flying monkeys disliked this video

  • I can't stop listening to this song over and over and over again...

It never fails to give me goosebumps and leave me teary-eyed.

  • i can' stop crying when i listen to this song

  • I didn't even hear the people talking. I was too busy listening to them singing.

  • AWW I LOVE THIS SONG, AND MORE WHEN IT IS SUNG BY TWO AMAZING WOMEN LIKE IDINA AND KRISTIN!!!

  • 3:25!! Love tht look! Her eyes look beautiful!

  • I love this song! had a go at singing it myself, don't know if i'm anyggod though, i'd appreciate it if some of you could take a look and comment, pplease don;t be too harsh though, i know i'm not amazing but my confidence is already low enough haha :L much love! <3

  • 53 people haven't been changed for the better!

  • Does anyone agree they need to make a movie of the play?

  • @mrscorymontieth its supposed to be coming out or either started workin on next year!!!

  • @mrscorymontieth They've been trying to make a movie for the past few years, actually

  • @mrscorymontieth As long as Idina and Kristin are in it

  • @brettreecedean I second that.

  • @mrscorymontieth Yeah, no! This would ruin the whole purpose of the musical! We see Wicked because we wanted to know what REALLY happened in the land of Oz. This is what separates Wicked from other musicals. Other musicals are basically the entire movie in which the musical is based on, just in .. musical form. But Wicked tells us all the secrets about the movie (The Wizard of Oz), and before Dorothy dropped in. If it was turned into a movie, what's the point of a musical???

  • @jasonr1929 i actually agree with that :)

  • @jasonr1929 unfortunately some of us arent lucky enough to see the musical, it is just inaccessible. a film would be appreciated by many!

  • @mrscorymontieth and they need to play those parts!

  • @mrscorymontieth They are, it's coming out in 2014

  • @mrscorymontieth As long as Idina and Kristin play Elphaba and Glinda!

  • @mrscorymontieth Nope, It will ruin the fact that it started on stage.. then people won't want to go and see it.. and will loose the point of the way it started off..

  • @mrscorymontieth I must say.........No. I got to see it on Broadway. (Needless to say, it was amazing). There are so many things (such as humor, music, the way the story is presented, etc.) that wouldn't work in a film. And if you were cut any of that, the film would just suck. The show is in its best form as a theatre production

  • @mrscorymontieth NO! the movies always ruin the plays...

  • @thatkidevan I disagree - see Rent

  • @mrscorymontieth Yes, I think it would be a great way 2 introduce a wonderful musical 2 audiences who might not have had an opportunity to experience it. People get so caught up in their own snobbish perceptions that they forget art is subjective & meant to be shared. it's cool to have preferences or even a bias toward BWay over movies, but no one can truly say that a Wicked movie would be good or bad until one is made as a BWay fan in general &Wicked fan in particular I'm looking forward 2 it

  • @mrscorymontieth It's on its way, but you have to wait 'till 2014. Tjek IMDB. :o)

  • @djcraky Now we just gotta hope they use Idina and Kristin...

  • @djcraky i hope so :)

  • @mrscorymontieth YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @mrscorymontieth with kristin and idina in their roles, obviously.

  • @mrscorymontieth no. its too powerful to put on film. although, it would be nice to watch it over and over (with the original cast of course!)

  • @mrscorymontieth Rumor is it's slated for 2014.

  • @mrscorymontieth with Kristin and Idina only!

  • @mrscorymontieth it's....a.....musical

  • clearly, the 53 dislikes are just trying to push the buttons of everyone else who love this song, and this video. DON'T REACT, THEY U ART A HOLES.

  • I love that Idina gets to let loose much more vocally in wicked then she did in rent!!!!

  • I sang this song with my best friend at our eighth grade dinner dance and I sang Glinda's part... in the rehearsals I butchered this song, but miraculously the song came together at the right moment. We goofed off so much and it was a lovely experience and I feel so special that I even had an opportunity to sing this song in the first place.

  • this song moved me! amazing!

  • An amazing song, sung by two AMAZING women! These two lovely ladies are the reason I dream of Broadway!

  • i just saw the play live in vancouver last night, and this was this got me so choked up :(

  • i always tear up listening to this song :')

  • I love how much emotion Idina and Kristin put into the song - even in rehearsals they look really sad, rather than just acting sad. They are my favourite actresses and singers ever. Much love to them both <3

  • Idina looks adorable in this.

  • i love how they were both on glee and glee actually sang this song <3

  • I got tears in my eyes at the end. :') I love Idina and Kristin! They did a wonderful together!

  • so nice to hear idina before all the strains took a toll. x

  • I have watched this about 150 times, and I still get chills and feel moved by the music.

  • Not a dry eye in the house.

  • to this day one of the greatest songs written

  • Kristen looks a lot like cameron diaz here

  • I'm the only senior in my school's choir this year, and my friend and I are singing this at our graduation.

  • this is rlle good <3 it

  • After watching and listening to this, I definitly changed for good!

  • How can anyone dislike this????Its a beautiful song with so much meaning!!!

  • Stephen looks like he's about 13 years old.

  • I didn't like their voices before but now I'm blown away! :)

well I LIKED their voices but it was more like they're okay but this is awesome :)

  • Stephen Oremus is a handsome young man :)

  • 53 people either have no friends or don't have a heart.

  • From what I've seen and read, it's just a rumor.

  • This song gives me goosebumps the second I hear the opening.

  • This song reminds me of every person in my life who has made me a better person. Congratulations Idina and Kristin...you guys will go down in history:)

  • You can see the emotion in their eyes and hear it in their voices. They are my heroes, and I want to be just like them... They give me chills...

  • What happens at 5L06? The sound like amplifies. o_o

  • awww :')

  • I've got to say that this show pulled the Broadway musical back from the brink of oblivion. After years of dreck like "rent" and Disney commercials, this was a breath of fresh air.

    -jcr

  • @NSResponder That show that you referred to as dreck won a tony and a pulitzer and ran 12 years.

  • @liduck52 And Arafat got a Nobel peace prize. What's your point?

    -jcr

  • i have watched this over 100 times and i still get goosebumps. its just perfection.

  • their faces are so serious in the beginning- and then you realize that this song actually means things to them- that they have become friends- no family. They have changed eachother for good

  • Thumbs up if you think Kristin Chenoweth looks like Cameron Diaz!

  • @popups46okay she might look like her... but she's got a whole lot more personality than Cameron Diaz! :)

  • @NewEnglanddur hehe.. they do look a like but they are still different people. Please don't compare them in a hater kind of way.

  • I freaking love Idina, she's amazing and beautiful inside and out. Not to mention hilarious. But about half of the views came from me lol. I love them and when I watch this video it makes me want to cry because they don't even speak anymore. ='( , I'd love to see them do Wicked together again, but I'd settle for them to be on an episode of glee together any day.* Fingers crossed* :)

  • @Stillsarcastic what you mean they don't speak anymore?

  • Comment removed

  • @Stillsarcastic My question is how did you find out they don't speak anymore? Was there an interview in which one of them said "we don't talk" or something? How do we know it's not just a rumour?

  • good

  • "through music, one finds theres no filter. music seeps inside you and pierces in a deeper way than words alone do" truer words were never spoken. one of my all time favourite quotes.

  • okay this seems so Gay.... In a good way of course.... Bravo ladies!

  • Idina gift project: Down in comments, put down name, age, where you're from and one thing you wish you could say to Idina Menzel, if she was talking to you. You can also put down a picture of yourself or I could use your profile pic. What do you think? won't it be cool when she gets this and just stares down at the love when she's tired or having a rough day? Lets show her how much we care! Comment right here =)

  • ...GOD. I Idina is SO incredible...and completley beautiful normal AND green(:

  • GOD. I wish I wasn't in kindergarden when they were in Wicked--NOW I WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE THEIR AMAZING CHEMISTRY. The way they play of each other's energy and their amazing friendship... it feels real. The others, it feels to me, are just acting but they really feel it, these too. gah. XD

  • I get chills everytime I listen to this song with these two singing! Just wish I could have seen them when they were on Broadway.

  • The lady at the beginning knitting a sweater or whatever uttering profundity noone's ever realized really cracks me up!

  • @Lindow That lady at the beginning was one of the creators of the greatest teen TV series in history, "My So-Called Life." She also wrote almost all of the episodes, elegantly weaving similar difficulties for both the parents and teens into the well-developed scripts.

    She basically discovered Claire Danes.

  • God I love her! She's amazing!

  • the best women singers of our time.

  • aww, idina is so cute :) i love her out of breath bit, her laugh!!!

  • They have a lot of REAL emotion in their acting and singing, and that really makes it special.

  • This has to be one of the most meaningful, gorgeous songs on the face of this earth. I think that's what really makes Wicked so amazing; I mean, the songs are clearly amazing, but it's really the message of each one that gets people. For Good is such an inspirational song about the beauty of real friendship, and Idina and Kristin portray it so well.

  • @TheGreenified amen dude.

  • everytime i hear this song i cry!

  • i cry everytime i hear this song

  • @sakura333 i know me too! My chorus dedicated this song for our teacher who passed away in november and it was emotional for all of us, It was beautiful.

  • i luv it how singers always nod there heads as they sing!

  • i wanna b in this show soooo badly!!!! (dnt think thats a word)

  • my favorite moment of the musical. So touching!

  • I love this song so much, it was my middle school graduation song :) This is my favorite musical and it was the first show I could really connect with and the first one I really chose to watch for myself.

  • This is music as it should be, two beautiful voices and a piano to acompany them. I love Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth!!!

  • 5:21 is just a perfect shot. They are fantastic together. Singing and acting.

  • Spectacular!!! I love Chenzel!!! :0) ♥

  • "i have to take a breath there" " oh, a breath."

sounds like they forgot that idina breathes sometimes xD. oh, well as long as she doesn't pass out onstage.XD

  • :'( *tear*
