The whisky version was so much better played in my opinion. Bryan Holmes just seems to be rushing through the song. And it sucks that the violin that was played in the beginning of the whisky version is absent here. It added a lot to the song.
Nice! It's great to hear Steve really put himself into this song. The only other versions I've heard (box set and LatW) leave a little bit to be desired, but this one is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
The drummer was Bryan Holmes from a group called the Producers. The song was included on the 20th anniversary box set. This tour was in support of that release.
