A Tascam 32 has the same sound quality as the BR-20. Even A Teac X-1000M does!

Jused to own one too. They are brilliant sounding machines. In direct comparison, the only machine that can get close to the M15 is the Tascam BR20.
Anyway, it's about 60 centimetres wide, the pancakes are 30 centimetres each.

@stijnkraft Yeah I use some M15As and a BR20. The BR20 is nice - but M15A is much more robust, easier to repair and much more fun :-D Just heavier to carry around, though ;-) a full professional machine...
