@Dawn554 She was really great when she was just starting out too, but it's all subjective. You're either into it or you're not. This song here is a very complicated piece, but to people who aren't into it, it sounds like a jumbled mess of noise, and Dlamini had the same effect as I recall. Well, with half their set, anyway. Polly's music has something for everyone. Half the audience would stare (me included) with their jaws down at the floor, the other half were just talking at the bar.
great great great performance; ze band as good as ze band with john parish
i normally hate comparing riffs of one song with another, but the verse, the bass line, of this song really reminds me of a birthday partY's song... just can't remember wich one, don't think it's on youtube
oh come on peej you don't mind a little rejection every now and then..
You can tell she was a great fan of Captain Beefheart. I love PJ, and remember her playing in her earliest days here in Somerset with her band 'Automatic Dlamini'. My favourite artist of all time.
@gyikasz It's written on the video title. They are Uh Huh Her and Taut. The first one is unreleased, the second is featured on the album Dance Hall at Louse Point by John Parish and Polly Jean Harvey.
sure Taut is an excellent appearance, but if you want to see a real crazy live version of it, then you should check the video from capitanjet in february 2008!!
