Hey guys, Yes confusing I know. We were 9 when we recorded this album in 2008, but one of the girls left the group so then there were 8 ;) Thanks for the all the nice comments and of course we knew everyone wouldn't love to hear a vocal group doing this, but we had a ton of fun doing it :)

Ugh, that was awful. I agree with the other comments below: this song is not meant to be sung by a choir. James Hetfield's emotion and the guitar solo at the end of the song is what makes it amazing, and these ladies cannot compare. I won't deny that they have good voices; they just should not have chosen to cover this song. Or any Metallica song, really.

have you heard the original, there really isn't screaming in that either. This group was so desparate in trying to make this cover their own that they resorted to gimmicks with weird instrumentation and harmonization that ultimately doesn't really work. Try listening to apocalyptica's version and you'd understand the "classical" type feel that this song can give.

I don't care what the hell the original sounded like -- what you closed-minded people need to understand is that the emotion conveyed through choral music is going to sound different then that of metal, or rap, or jazz, et cetera. I understand that different styles will convey emotion differently - hell I've studied music for most of my life playing cello and singing - I happen to be a classically trained tenor - I was giving my criticism as such. Maybe you should hear other versions of this song and stop calling people assholes. If you're going to preach about different genres of music, I suggest you actually do listen and learn to appreciate other genres.

As well, I was calling people assholes who can't take a simple typo & will go out of their way to insult a piece of music that they don't HAVE to listen to, because of it. Some beautifully haunting harmonies that are part of the accompaniment in Metallica's piece are missing here, as is the breadth of dynamics and intensity (requires numbers for that). It is a great idea but the accompaniment needs reinventing.

I love this version, I believe that it was wonderfully done. Yes the original and more metal is always best because it's the original, but hearing this in a totally different genre I find was a great idea and that they accomplished it very well

Frozenyak, these ladies sound too airy and there's not enough strong harmony. Bif Naked would be much better suited for this song IMHO lol.
