  • El amor de mi vida ♥

  • Jean Baptiste- Maunierrr J'taimeee <3<3<3<<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • What makes this for me is the glance they share toward the end. They're in it together, and are both beautiful.

  • -3. :,)

  • MERCI !

    Les Loupiots

  • i ADORE les choristes and even more i adore jean baptiste but MORE THAN THAT i ADORE THIS SONG

  • J'aime trop ce passage 2:02. I love this scene 2:02

  • hey, i have uploaded a video of myself singing this song, please listen to it and let me know what you think :)

  • They're both amazing! I'm really touched:-)

  • What's the name of the other male soloist(not JB)?

  • Jean-Baptiste is beautiful and his voice too! Now he`s 20 and more beautifuller than this video was! (sorry for my bad english) <3

  • wow ! the high pitch makes my speakers goes out of shape man ! great song !

  • es perfecto!!

  • They are very good. Love the perfect harmony when it's just the two of them, they listen so well to each other

  • ok!i was wrong-i take it back-it's a guy.

  • it's not a man.first i thought the same.but it's a woman-laura peralta.

  • its lovely but fast

  • isnt that guy on les choristes?

  • JB Maunier and this girl were very good for their age along with Charlotte Church, Angelis, and others. But my personal favorite is The Choirboys' version. They are also very young, but truly did the best!

  • how old has maunier been when singing this? and why is this girl also singing? thought it was a concert by "les choristes"?

  • Terrible. Charlotte Church at age 13 (1999) sang it best.

  • @byzinski Angel Voices - Pie Jesu (Oliver Putland)

  • Too bad the quality isn't so good, but it's absolutely lovely, beautiful! This is the first classical song I ever leaned to sing, so powerful!

  • c clair que ca va trop vite moi je la chante a la chorale et sais beaucoup plus lent que ca

  • Trop rapide, la musique est complètement gâchée !

  • @luludje7 D'accord

    Aled

  • @luludje7 Comapre with Angel Voices - Pie Jesu (Oliver Putland)

    Aled

  • she has such nice voice and lovely eyes. i hope she kept her voice after puberty.

  • why are thier songs always fast! iwas still looking at him!

  • and when they look at one another and smile... So cute!

  • No! Way too fast!!! Even Jean Baptiste with the tempo! Tssss, massacring this beautiful Pie Jesu in this way....

Beautiful voices though, both of them

  • i love JB but i hate the girl... i want to stand next to JB :D

  • omg I remember that boy!!! I loved him in Le Chorus

  • Anyone could say me who's the compositor of this Pie Jesu please?

    Thanks

  • Andrew Lloyd Webber

  • Thank you very much

  • Wow He is normaly great but is going far to fast in this one!!!

  • i am playing this for the ballad in my marching band show!!!

  • awesome but a lil fast for me

  • jean batiste maunier

  • what is the boy name?

  • Les Choristes

  • Re nikalyy: The boy's name is Jean-Baptiste Maunier. He's the star of the film Les Choristes. He sings quite well in the film (in French). But as you hear his Latin pronunciation is not good.

  • thanks^^i think he act very well too

  • Jean-Baptiste Maunier :)

  • too fast

  • @mcandmp2330 are you crazy? there are no rules to sing a piece, beautiful sound, the other version is so slow that I just want to sleep with her .. they did a phenomenal job

  • Is JB Maunier very famous in France?

  • Yes ofcourse, i think (:

    c

  • To those of you who want(ed) to know, the words are latin, from the requiem mass (from the final lines of the Dies Irae, but used sometimes, and most famously by Faure, as a movement of their own).

    'Pie Jesu'-(kind Jesus)

'Qui tollis peccata mundi'-(who takes away the sins of the world)

    'Dona eis requiem'-(Grant them rest)

    Agnus Dei-(Lamb of God)

Qui tollis peccata mundi-(who takes away the sins of the world)

    Dona eis requiem-(grant them rest)

    Sempiternam-(eternal)

  • thanks!

  • Being a singer, I know how difficult it is to sing that particular song on a duet for a young man and young lady. Very often an older gentleman if he is a bariton or a contre tenor has to use his Head voice. This is my case. ~ Here, they did a very nice job, the young lady taking the low part. Yes, I would have loved it a little slower but you have to have a deep breath and the lungs of a young person is minimal at that age. Very nice, Bravo.

  • C´est vrai, cést un peu trop vite!

    Mais pourtant genial!!!

  • too fast

  • really bad sound quality. Try "Jean Baptiste Maunier in Concert" for better quality.

  • what is pie jesu?

  • its a song that was deticated to the bombing in Oklahoma city in 199something. or something like that. its Italian

  • thanks

  • lol, omg i can't stop laughing. This was written in the 80s by andrew lloyd webber for the pope. It's Latin.

  • Dude my bad, Thats what my fucking choir teacher taught us! So Not my fault!!!!!!!!

  • Oh my god, Jean-Baptiste did this song as well? Hallelujah!

  • I can sing the song exactly like the guy =^.^=

  • I could be completely wrong here but it sounds, especially at the start, as if the guy is singing slightly too fast for the music.

  • this is so beautiful. I just wish they had slowed it down a little.

I also wish it were only a duet. They didn't need the background choir. Is the guy or the girl taking the high notes?

  • I think it's the guy taking the high notes. I wish the tempo could've been slowed down... This song somehow just doesn't seem right sped up.

  • girl is the alto. the male is the treble which is the equivalent of a male soprano as far as i know

  • Me a encantado, gracias.

  • wheres pepinot.

  • génial !

    ym

  • j'aime pas trop la voix de Jean Baptiste mais bon on s'enfout de mon aviis =)

  • cèst bien vrai ca!

  • xD rahlala mais avouez quand même qu'on a connu mieux comme voix...non?!

  • They are really god ! this is so sublime!

  • agree with Innsomnni

  • mi too!

  • me too

  • yeah , i think so

  • Its too fast, you cant appreciate it

  • @Innsomnni Are you crazy? there are no rules to sing a piece, they hear precious, the other version is so boring it makes me sleep

  • Perfect!

  • at 1:03-1:16ish, who has the higher and who has the lower part. lol. it is the two part, but i can't tell who has the lower, and who has the higher.

  • The girl has the lower part. Sorry I don't know her name. The audio quality is terrible.

  • It;s nice, but it's very fast if you compare to the version of Andrew Johnston.. But JB and the girl are great!

  • to bad the audio quality is rather bad... i love these guys

  • Absolute perfection... he sings perfectly live, faultless =)

  • Stunning <3

  • Damn that girls is lucky to be stood singing with Jean Baptiste Maunier..I'm Jealous!

    Jb is HOT!

  • What Language Is This? It Doesn';t Sound French. LOve YOu JB ♥ <3

  • latin.

  • Latin

  • como canta el niño esel mismo de la pelicula????

  • Cela est tout simplement incroyable! Il m'a donne des frissons à l'ecoute pour eux. Lol, my grammar might be a bit off, i need to brush up on my french, but it was simply marvelous, and i love the cute little moment when they looked at each other at 2:02.

  • That is for sure really cute!! :D

  • Is this a rap song? Too fast. I thought Pie Jesu is a solemn song.

  • omg this sucks they sing it to fast

  • yes, far to fast and terribly indelicate. almost brutish.

  • they played this wayyyy too fast.

  • omg! that was amazing.

  • damn he and she sing effortless!!! 10/10

  • I've never seen the parts switched like that, but I really enjoyed it.

  • salut, quelqu'un pourrait-il obtenir la partition de piano, de choeur, et des solistes débout Jesu ?

  • 2:37!<--this movie is so sad...this song fits^^

  • LOOL!!

dont say that, french is a wonderful language!

    here's a portuguese girl talking :)

  • I agree. Spanish is my native language, so I am unbiased

  • OMG! you know when he smiled at the fat girl, he was sooo cute!

  • NO. jean baptiste maunier is obviously hotter and cuter.. no matter how cute you are...

  • loool!! are you?!

  • @ochakid I know is was very sweet, but please don't call her fat, she is bigger but shes got a lovely voice too, which has nothing to do with appearance.

  • i agree.

    it's too fast.

  • but still beautiful

    I like it!

  • I wonder if they sped it up because his voice is changing to make it less apparent?? Strange.. too bad it's rushed.

  • yes,too rush! not as smooth as libera's.

  • it's really rushed....still beautiful but rushed...

  • too fast!

  • beautiful!!!*__*

    *siiiiigh*luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv him >//////////////<

  • sencillamente espectacular! ...

  • Jean Baptiste sings very good !!!! This song is beautifull! When they are looking...Do you to believe this is synchronized or spontaneous?

  • have you noticed that girl was singing slowly then the camera came in to her face she started to sing more faster?

  • No she looks like a normal girl and they both have great voices!

  • She looks pissed! Wonder if she was angry with jean baptiste?

  • I think she's just nervous as !@$#

  • i actually love this arrangement... i have sang it before... and jean baptiste is right on... but the second soprano is all over the place, and hits wrong notes... she starts singing jean baptiste's part in one place... i want to hit my head against the keyboard... shes ok other than that...

  • lol well people do sing in their own style

  • Great singing but a terrible arrangement. It seems to be rushed, without much phrasing.

  • precioso....
