  • Minnesota has become the laughing stock of the nation.

  • Thanks to Norm Coleman's incompetence...

  • Way to go Minnesota, you assholes, you have no idea who you just elected. I used to do work on SNL, Franken is an angry, self-serving, bitter, douchebag and if you think he will represent your best interests you must be Obama supporters - just plain fucking STUPID! You just elected Stuart Smally? Really? Shitty ass state anyway.

  • Where's his satellite dish helmet?

  • I wonder if he still does not believe 9/11 could be an inside job. I hope he doesn't go the way of the Global Elite. Now now Al, we're watching.

  • you are nothing Politicians can Help Or obstruct, you can do Shit regardless of you undying love for CHENEY or Barack Obama just sit on your SSI check And cheer for Darth CHENEY/BUSH puppeteer or Shut Up 99.9 % of politicians get money funds from millionaires alike. REPUBLICANS and Dem's Theater we saw them in congress and they chastise them but what will happen "Nothing" they got a get out jail card from BUSH

  • Another politician steals an election.

    POS!

  • Al Franken has to be at least in the top 5 all time Democrat list of Morons. And yes it's true. He really is as stupid as he looks!

  • go franken!

  • Congratulations, Senator Franklin!

It's going to be great for Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh have to use the words "Senator Franklin!" Almost as sweet as hearing them have to say "President Barack HUSSEIN Obama!"

I so love saying Obama's full name, it scares the piss outta the neocons!

  • satchel: First off, doofus they guy's name is Franken...not Franklin. Got it?

I hope Right wing pundits continue to scare the hell out of neocons because scared people contribute money and vote. And, after all, it's only fair. The Left used fear mongering to demonize Bush and the Reps for the last five years, so it's only fair that the Right now return the favor for Obama.

And one final fact. The Right HATES Franken. His election will do wonders for fund raising and turning out the vote.

  • Al Franken is scum.

  • That's specific...

I will bet 100,000,000 you can not name a single fact of why you arrived at your opinion...

  • bolger: I don't know about Democrap2008 but here are a few of my reasons:

-I've read all of Franken's political books and IMO many of his attempts at ironic humor are hateful and vicious.

-I've seen Franken on TV talk shows many times and IMO he's overly emotional and truly thinks Reps are modern day fascists.

-I've seen the Franken rants on Youtube; grossly immature stuff for a man of his age.

We need less partisan rancor, not more of it. Particularly in the Senate.

  • I'm a comedian, that's what I do for a living. I create satire & write jokes...

-I've read Franken's books and could not disagree more. He's intellectually "calling out the loud asshole bully" in his books, which is a comedy axiom...

-Which specific show(s), in context so we understand your issues. I've seen him on TV and find him likable. Find the movie "Al Franken: God Spoke"...

I understand where you're coming from and agree with less partisanship, but we might have to agree to disagree...

  • Bolger: it's OK to agree to disagree. And to be blunt, Franken is now in the Senate and his performance is all that matters.

Re the shows I've seen him on, I can only recall specific incidents with Michael Medved and with O'Reilly, I've also seen him on Letterman, Leno, C-Span etc. but cannot recall any specifics. Just my general impression that the man's too emotional and sees the Reps as truly "evil".

I used to like Franken: SNL, when he did the Clinton roasts, etc. Not anymore though.

  • If you truly seek partisanship, why try to divide? Odd...

I'm in the middle. Your comments of "I can only recall specific incidents with Medved and with O'Reilly", but "can't recall anything specific" is laughable. Can you or can't you recall "specific incidents"? Yet you LIKE him picking on Clinton. ONE look at your channel of anti-Obama, blaming the financial crisis on Dems/Fanny/Freddie/ACORN, and Fox News clips exposes you a total far far right neo-con spam hack fraud. You're an evil SOB...

  • bold: Let's try again: I remember specific incidents with Medved (a Franken hissy fit, raising his voice and slamming a table) and O'Reilly (the infamous lunch/conference where they both lost their tempers). Clear enough for you?

I've also seen Franken many many times on TV but can't recall any specific incidents...just a general impression that the guy's emotional.

But I'm sure this won't help; you're into full tilt name calling now. And if you think I'm "evil", you're an emotional fool.

  • "A hissy fit, raising his voice and slamming a table" does not speak to specific content. Your channel has a McCain campaign ad blaming the entire housing bubble on Dems/Fannie/Freddie. Those are FAR RIGHT TALKING POINTS. Economists & historians know it was Phil Gramm that deregulated the banks/loans with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act that regulated the financial services industry. Clinton is also at fault since he was the president when it passed ;)

  • bolg: 1/2: No, you asked for specific example of why I thought Franken was too emotional for the Senate. I gave you two specific examples. Both are on Youtube; check 'em out.

Re the vid on my profile page, the vid does NOT blame the whole subprime mess on fannie/freddie/Dems. The vid DOES make it clear that they played a role, and most importantly, specific Dems threatened independent auditors with police action for telling them the truth (that fannie/freddie were incurring excessive risk).

  • What were they discussing? CONTEXT, AND CONTENT fart hammock...

Anyone can say, "He threw a hissy fit" since it's subjective to your slanted views. If I called your wife a whore, then said "He threw a hissy fit" most understand the logical reason behind it. Facts are not your friends. You haven't offered a single credible fact...

Everyone can watch you video to see the video DOES blame the dems. You have a sad detachment with reality. Sad...

  • bold: 2/2: I've posted plenty of comments on Youtube acknowledging that excessive deregulation pushed by the Reps contributed to subprime. IMO Reps are 60% to blame (only because they held the Pres AND congress for 6 years)and Dems 40%.

But I disagree that Gramm's deregs were the start of the problem. The subprime seed was planted under Carter when legislation was passed requiring banks to increase loans to high risk people (primarily poor minorities).

  • Disagree all you'd like. most prominent, well know economists agree with my position. Including 2008 Nobel Laureate in Economist Paul Krugman...

It's a number of things but, home-owners/buyers blew it, congress blew it, SEC blew it, CEO's blew it, and many more. But the start was when the refs were taken out of the game.

Poor minorities are not the cause of this crisis. The refs were taken out of the game, so banks/brokers could actually trade/own/be their own debt. EveryONE abused it....

  • bolger: I've got a BA and an MBA and worked for 24 yrs for the federal govt. I've forgotten more about these things than you'll ever know.

It's clear from your posts that you're a tempermental "artist", long on emotion and short on logic. You're egotistitcal too. A normal person would have said "I agree with most economists"...You said "most economists agree with my position".

Oh yeah. Nobel economists are reading Bogler the comic's profound musing on the economy and they "agree with you"

  • You're far more irrationally argumentative and bent on non-pertinent intellectual chest puffing than offering substantive material on the subject of why you dislike Al Franken. In my 2nd post, I said politely that we can "Agree to disagree". That was not good enough for you. Not sure why. I've asked you many times now and you've offered NO SPECIFICS. Can you list specific moment with Frankin on TV, with context & content as to why you dislike him?

I look forward to your inability to do so...

  • bold: one final point. I've voted in 9 Pres elections and have voted for 5 Reps, 3 Dems, and 1 Ind. Voted for Kerry in '04 (because of Iraq) and a straight Dem ticket in '06. Hardly a neocon. But you won't understand; anyone that has positions Right-of-Center is apparently a neocon (and probably a nazi/fascist too) in your book. You say you're in the middle, but you're really a Leftist.

  • The content of your channel do no match those of a moderate. I guess you got so used to lying, you think it's the truth...

Anyone can take one look at see your overtly partisan hand in shouting for "partisanship" at the top of your lungs. Your entire channel blasts Democrats you lying loon. I'm not in favor of the bailout plan as it is, there are many things I dislike about Obama and call him on them point by point. You are intentionally vague b/c it suits your grossly outdated views...

  • bolger: No, I'm a fiscal conservative (lower taxes, smaller govt) and a social moderate (pro choice, legalize marijuana/prositution, etc.). I usually vote Rep and I loathe the radical Left.

BTW, your emotionalism is clouding your logic. You accuse me of being intentionally vague and then say my views (I guess the vague ones) are "outdated". Because SOME of my views are conservative I'm a "liar" and "overtly partisan".

You're a Leftist who considers ANY viewpoint on the Right to be "evil"

  • Clearly you disliked almost 90% of Bush's governmental policy then? The only thing you liked was the "tax cuts", right?

  • bolger: You don't absorb what you read do you? I've already said I voted against Bush in '04 so it's clear I disagree with him more than I agree:

    -the war in iraq

    -massive increase in govt spending

-neocon philosophy of expanding democracy through force and "preventive" war

    -most of the patriot act

Too bad the Dems ran such a loser in '04.

Your attempts to pigeonhole me into some tiny neocon niche are pathetic and says far more about you than me.

This is my final post. Adios.

  • Totally agree! Kerry was a looser. I creamy turd...

The whole "reporting for duty" thing was laughable. I didn't vote for him. I couldn't do the "lessor of two evils" vote...

Bush still held the entire fiscal Conservative base John. No senate/house republicans aside from Dr. Paul, Chuck Hagel, or Orin Hatch voted against him during his 8 years. That's your base. You have a pro McCain ad ad blaming the entire mortgage crisis on Dems on your channel. That says something about you and your views

  • I love Al!!!
