I just ordered the 410 to start heart-rate training. Between the countless options and the bezel, I was beginning to expect a lot of confusion & frustration, but this looks pretty direct and intuitive.
Between my resting rate, age and gender, I used tome programs to guesstimate my VO2max. Where does one go to test VO2max? My local gym told me to pick one up at Sports Authority. lol
Thanks for watching! Getting tested for VO2max isn't really necessary in my opinion. The data is expensive to get and often unreliable unless you go to a world-class facility. I'm a fan of Jack Daniels Running Formula pacing tables and his Vdot system for mapping your training zones and race predictions at different distances.
Ok I have a workout that's somewhat the same as the one in your video, the one with a warm up and cool down. I had it set up the same way you did except for step 2 of course. I Went out for my warm up run and tapped the start/stop button so that I could stretch. Then I lined up at the starting line and tapped the lap button to begin step 2 but nothing happened. So then I had to tapp the start/stop button and then then the lap button just to get the thing going. Can't I tap it from a dead start
I think the answer is no. The start/stop button sets the beginning and end of a file. You may want to enable the "autopause" feature, and/or build in a pre-race warmup interval before your pacing plan starts all in the same file.
