Secondly, I'm getting tired of having to explain my position on the movie, so I'll try to make this simple.

When I said "it SHOULD be different...." I meant: "what's the point of making a movie that is EXACTLY like the cartoon/manga?" If you want something that's exactly like the original, why not just watch the original Instead of complaining about the movie?

Do I think they did a good job of "bringing the series to life"? No. They failed.

I never said I liked the movie. I said it could have been a lot worse than it was.

Acting- overall bad, but could have been worse.

Effects- definitely not the best, but I've seen worse.

Storyline- way too rushed to make sense to most people.

Character Development- again, rushed.

Dialog- some of it was cheesy and kind of funny (like the original series was).

And no, the movie wasn't good. But it wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. So I don't know if you're in a special class or something, but I'm not at all talking about the quality of the movie in relation to the similarity between it and the source material. That's what jarakotsu and Sekiyoba and many others have been doing. They're saying the movie sucked because of the differences. I'm saying it's an adaptation, so it SHOULD be different or else it's just boring.
